RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

I have a mate who's a City supporter, and quelle surprise, he's only got back into football the past three years (he used to be a "season ticket holder at Maine Road" though, just so you know). He frequents Bluemoon and he posts these ridiculous transfer rumours on Twitter he gets from there (Messi is signing every summer since 2011, and Guardiola has already agreed to become their next manager in 2016), not to mention he now calls United "The Rags" and regularly drops it into conversation with me, despite him never using the term in all the previous years I've known him.

RAWK is a special case ineed, but they have a lovable side to them; Bluemoon is a vile place and I wonder how people can become so embittered.
Years and years of always being the little brother and even when they receive all the money in the world we still win and you get the feeling deep down city fans know that city was only brought because the UAE could exploit the Manchester name that we built up.

I find their squirming hilarious in relation to their defence of eventually becoming everything they claimed to hate in us: a commercial, multi-national brand.

What a bunch of tossers.

Bluemoon is awful but I can say in fairness the few City fans I know in real life are very pleasant people. I don't think that disgusting forum for the rags is a good representative of their fanbase at all.

To be fair I would say the same about RAWK but some on here insist it's pretty much a fair representation.

Most Liverpool fans I know personally are a pretty self-deprecating lot.

I already accept that the Liverpool fans on the internet are infinitely worse than the ones in real life as my best friend is a Liverpool fan and he's really down to Earth about everything.

Noisy neighbour! Well, if we are able to stop them next season (and I am confident although it is not easy) then their fans should seriously be put back down to earth again.

Nope. Le Tallec. This is from 2003.
Blast from the past! 'Time will tell who's got the better deal...'
I'm not doubting Ronaldo's abilities. Clearly he's a talented kid who may be on the threshold of greatness. It just strikes me as rather odd that no-one has given the same attention to Liverpool's equally stunning new teenage recruit.

It seems Gerard Houllier's mistake with Anthony Le Tallec was to buy him early rather than delay until everyone in Europe wanted him. Obviously, Liverpool should have waited until Le Tallec's value was £12m.
Soon enough, the rest of the nation will wake up to the fact Le Tallec and Ronaldo played in the same world youth championships not so long ago and it was the Liverpool new boy who was voted the best player.

No doubt both Gerard and Sir Alex watched those same youth championships in Malaysia a few years back and noticed the same players. Indeed, Liverpool had already signed Le Tallec by then and were strongly linked with Ronaldo themselves, but can't afford to splash out like United.

Time will tell who's got the better deal, but for value for money I know who I'm backing. It's a bit like Houllier and Ferguson have both dined at the same top class restaurant and had their pick of the best main courses on the menu.

Houllier has managed to get his dish at a quarter of the cost Ferguson has paid, and yet it's his rival who is getting all the praise.

1 in every 2 of my pool supporting mates would fit right in on RAWK fwiw...

Just heard they are signing their 7th player. FFS, if that's not overhaul, what is?? They really "know" how to make use of their proceeds from Suárez's lol It's a joke

Anyone saw the Rodgers warning to LvG on Daily Express: You're in for a shock. Former glories count for nothing now.
So he thinks he can engage in mind game with the veteran? lol

Mind games are load of fecking shit anyway.

A manager says something bland about the opposition: "Oh, the mind games have started!"

So cringey.

Redman, who comes on here from time-to-time, is a good bloke and knows his football. Shame he doesn't show his face more often.

They are building a squad. It's not an overhaul, only Suarez has gone the other way. They didn't have a big enough squad last year so are signing lots of players to fill that.

Explain. Regardless of Suarez leaving, the squad needed depth. What's the joke genius.

Yeah agreed.

RAWK is pretty delusional at times, (as are all forums time to time) and there is banter but it's all quite funny and a bit of a laugh.

Bluemoon is actually just a vile place full of incredibly, and I mean INCREDIBLY bitter and hateful people.

RAWK is haven of sanity when you compare it with Bluemoon. The most vileful fan forum I have seen. One of the posters there wished death on Ferguson while he was still in charge and was merely called up on it by one or two posters. Rest seemed to go along with it.

Good lord, all the hostilities towards Webb

They do know Clattenburg is gonna retire too eventually, right?

You can think it in your head – briefly – but do not, under any circumstances, say it out loud.

Liverpool Football Club are hatching a plot to take over the football world.

It used to be the Boot Room where the plotters would gather to kill a division. It’s probably done on conference calls now, but the aim seems to be the same. I should use metaphor and allegory to communicate the import of this article, but I think instead it would be quicker to make a list:

Done/Proposed Transfers:

Emre Can 12/1/94 – 20 years old

Lazar Markovic 2/3/94 – 20

Divock Origi 18/4/95 – 19

Alberto Moreno 5/792 – 22

Javier Manquillo 5/5/94 – 20

Potential Squad member for 2014/15 Season:

Raheem Sterling 8/12/94 – 19

Phillipé Coutinho 12/6/92 – 22

Jordan Ibe 8/12/95 – 18

Tiago Ilori 26/2/93 – 21

Suso – 19/11/93 – 20

In years to come they may well call this the ‘Windfall Window’. Through the conspiracy of fate and intention – the guarantee of Champions League qualification, a massive TV deal and the sale of Luis Suarez – we have managed to accumulate a distasteful amount of money, with which, on the face of it, we are using to try and win the league.

From the tomtit times. I should have used parable to disseminate such paramountcy of manuscription but the quote code was quicker.
