RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Vote Henderson!...to be on the cover of a video game:

Tiger Woods on the cover of the PGA Tour game 16 years in a row...
For a series entitled "Tiger Woods PGA Tour".

But if my lad's going to buy this - and he will - I don't want to be looking at Hendo's mug for months on end.
Henderson and Kane in a Fifa cover?fecking hell.
Who is the other 'nominee'.

Henderson, Courtois, Kane and who else?

If it's between those 3 in a popularity contest I can only see Hendo winning it.
If he's the front cover, i'd rather not buy it.
Flanno or nothing. Maybe Ravel Morrison at a push.

I'm sure their first 3 months fixtures for 2015-16 will generate some funnys, the conspiracy theorist will be in full song...!

Surely no coincidence that after plans to boycott games this season, we get the six biggest aways back to back after starting with an away.

...

Let the conspiracy theories begin. If we had those fixtures I'd be fuming, they've had a right nightmare. Stick some lovely trips to Eastern Europe in there & they could be in a right mess.

We are slow starters under Rodgers anyway. Something about the way he trains the squad that we tend to peak in the 2nd half of the season was the reason I read somewhere here from one of the knowledgeable posters here.

I wonder if he'll change things up a bit to get us peaking earlier. Probably one for the new coach thread.

Already plotting how they'll win the "alternative" league:

New fixtures have thrown up a fascinating situation for next season's APLT. Playing Stoke, the Derby and the five sides who finished above us in our opening seven games will give us a par of 28 from the first fourteen matches.

It's going to be very tough, and there may be a lot more attention on the APLT.

A nice Rawk vs Bluemoon argument breaking out over Sterling it seems (see the RAWK Sterling thread).
Some bluemoon quotes from that thread quoteception

City should muscle in on every player dippers target obviously make life hard for them

Couldnt agree more. Drive the prices nice and high and tell them thats what will happen unless they play fecking ball
So whats the plan here? Either Liverpool sells Sterling at low price or City will buy every shitty player they are targeting at inflated prices?

I really hope Henderson makes the cover of Fifa16 only for EA to pull the plug at the last moment out of embarrassment.

It's screaming out for Hendo & Flanno to team up for this (which is not an original idea, unfortunately)

Where's the option for Phil Jones's gurning face on that poll? Would rather go for that one.

2015-2016 Fixture List

I'm locking this because I'm part of a massive conspiracy theory, as we all are at RAWK, to prevent Liverpool from winning the league and I don't want anyone revealing the truth. Sepp Blatter is also a massive lizard.

It'll be reopened when the truth tellers have been rounded up and we can carry on as normal. Its a set of fixtures. It's impossible to rig them for one club and not another. Rid.ic.ulous.

If there were claims, I think they've mostly been removed in a 'clean-up', mate.

Do they need more quality? Yes, but they also need to bulk out their squad if they are going to play Thursday Night Football all over eastern Europe. Because of that I think they are 3 very good signings for them.

I thought last season's summer of fun was them bulking out their squad in preparation for their rigorous CL campaign? Rather than buying squad players they need to improve on the mediocrity that's in their starting 11, and demote said mediocrity to the bench. Ings isn't going to lead the attack, he's simply not good enough. I also think their expectations of Milner are warped. Yes, he did a very good job for City, just as Park did a very good job for us, but at Liverpool, Milner isn't going to have the luxury of being surrounded by the likes of Aguero, Silva, Nasri, Toure, Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes and Giggs.

mediocrity that's in their starting 11

they thought their Gnasher-less 1st XI was still brilliant though didn't they?

and they somehow managed to buy people who weren't so much added & more mediocre-ness as worse that what they already had. and they didn't replace Gnash either - a bunch of us would have struggled to do a more piss-poor recruitment job for them

Markovic has shown some potential though, innit,

on Markovic another part of the interweb reports that historically they were saying

- we could be getting someone who is unplayable.

- I am more excited about this than a possible Alexis inclusion in our team.

- A young Kaka in his early Milan days

- I don't know much about this lad, never seen him play but from the descriptions i've read it's got me thinking of a Pavel Nedved

- When Chelsea were linked with the guy he had the most potential for a 19 year old of anyone bar Messi and Ronaldo

- This lad looks the definition of a Brendan Rodgers player. Oozes quality, pace, skill and vision.
