RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Standby

''Mario Balotelli is going nowhere this summer and will be playing for Liverpool next season'', says agent Mino Raiola

Kolo has signed for another year of course

Age, love, cuddliness, and a bulging middle are all characteristics to look for in a beloved teddy bear. Not in a premier league centre half.

Crikey, they're openly revolting

Who the fecks running this club? Frank Spencer and Mr Bean?

With "top quality targets" Benteke and Ings rumours hotting up, it seems they're also getting help from Mr Blobby too.

"Hmmmmm... Oh dear Mr Henry, I think we've done another whoopsy in the transfer market...."

Blimey, even their piss-takes are stuck in the 70s.

You would have thought professional footballers would have had a better quality camera phone

They're really depressed:

It is to maintain an unsubstanciated superiority complex brought about by how we were good before I was born.

I was fortunate enough to have been around in the 70's and 80's and yes, they were great times. I remember at the time though loads of old codgers going about saying how great Wolves were and Leeds and it was just a matter of time before they were back. It was almost like those two clubs were synonymous with our present position.

I dont think it is about ethos. I think it is purely about how you adapt to the way English football changes. You either embrace these changes or you fight them. If you fight them you become increasingly more prone to being stuck in the past and left behind.

There will never be another Steven Gerrard but there will be millions of Raheem Sterlings and as depressing as that is, it is the truth. If we want to be fighting for the league year after year, we have to somehow adapt as a club to how we deal with players like this and all the other demands of modern football.

Its either that or we become that miserable old c*nt, shaking his fist at the world just like those bemoaning the fates of Wolves and Leeds in the 80's.

Wow! Just when you thought they were all mental:

One of 'em goes and writes something you can relate to!

If I were a Liverpool fan, that'd be one hell of an ominous statement.

Even in the midst of that pessimistic post, there's a (relatively new) pompous myth:

There will never be another Steven Gerrard

The Romantic notion that Liverpool player Gerrard will be the last of the homegrown, loyal heroes is typically self-serving, and surely false.

To be fair I took him as talking solely about Liverpool, and I'd have to agree as I can't see any cnut being thick enough to stick around as long as he has.

I don't like the fella at all, but even if we suggest there will never be another home grown to rise, Terry would be the last anyway.

I think there is still room for them anyway, Wilson and Blackett for us, I think there are a couple of good young uns at Chelsea too, they may not make it, but there is certainly promise there.

Barcelona has been one of the biggest spenders in the world for decades and yet they keep giving chances to their homegrown talent. I assure you the same would happen in the EPL if the talent was good enough. I mean, seriously, do you think that frigging Ashley Young would be able to keep an 18 year old Giggs on the bench? Would the big guy with funny hair be able to do the same with a young Scholes? FFS United had spend 30m on an 19 year old fullback just because he seem to have some talent and is British. Imagine what would they do if another Scholes or Giggs become available.

The issue here is not the clubs but the talent. Britain is not producing enough quality players. That's something the FA need to address and it wont change by discriminating foreigners in favor of local talent. Donkeys will always remain donkeys irrespective if they play for United or Burnley. For example OShea has more 200 appearances with United yet that didn't turn him into the new Dennis Irwin.

They should hope for their sake there isn't another Gerrard. Nobody to feck up their best chance of a title in 26 years.
DJs will also sleep safer at night.

On Clyne:

Clear smokescreen. Bid for Clyne and see who Saints want as his replacement then nip-in and sign that one.

You would think we might get a discount from Southampton because we bought from them before.I don't mean like a buy one get one free.....but something knocked off surely.

This is a good player, if there is any player from Southampton I had wanted the previous season, above Lambert, Lallana and Lovren it was him

On Milner (:wenger:). World class wingback!

Mate trust me, Milner will freaking own that position and make the whole system work. He`ll be a world-class wingback, he`s somebody who understands the timing of runs playing on the wing and he gets to byline for fun.

With that Liverpool video, its funny how out of sync Gerrard is compared to the rest of the team. He moves to his own beat.

So this guy realistically predicted 6th for the scum, and now the net and all its minions are sucking him off.....wow, just wow

Its so cute reading them talking about how Ings and Milner are "great players", players that they would be taking the piss about if we bought them and rightly so.

The boards got shut down the other day because so many people were complaining about how poor they were. They're not hyping them up at all, they're generally disillusioned that they're only shopping at that level.

Right i missed that. Typical Rawk then and it would explain why i could only see super positive stuff about them last night. One of them even said Ings could be the new Keegan.
