RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

Bloody hell, he'll have more add-ons than Firefox the way they're talking...

I kinda feel sorry for Tomkins, as his book is receiving all those dodgy reviews regardless of its quality. I was more fortunate with my own book, partly thanks to rimaldo's stellar review. :D

When I first stumbled across this book I thought "who's left this book out?" Always start with a joke they say. Unfortunately this one doesn't work as in this instance I had brought an e-book.

I can't recommend this book highly enough. It's full of mystery, suspense and impending doom. Just like meeting a Thai lady. The characters are so very, very real and so very, very dark.

This is like Twilight, but good. Will it ever outsell Twilight? Probably not. That's the real crime here. Other than Salazar's one of course. He's just like Robert Pattinson, if Robert Pattinson had a soul. I'm only giving this 5 stars because there's no 6.

Has anyone got hold of this book over at RAWK yet? There must be a thread related to it - they love a bit of fiction do those deluded Scousers.

There is probably, but you'd have to register to use the search function.

I think I'm too afraid to do it.

Edit: You can actually use the search function without registering, but it's shit.

I've looked inside :nervous: on Amazon, but it's pretty tumescent fare, to be honest. Not the 'fire of the soul, tears of diamond shattering the inevitable; Liverpudlian communion, black stars overhead' stuff I've come to expect from Tomkins. You'd get more laughs out of any common or garden variety RAWK post. After a few pages I couldn't be arsed.

A disappointment. The cover and the title are beautiful, though.

Never mind - there's always the poems, and the posts moaning about how things were better in the past (coincidentally, around the time that Liverpool were winning titles; who'd have thought?):

And Rafa, our Moses, by his guiding hand,
He led us all back here to this Promised Land,
When the road became hard no excuse did he use,
And when all seemed lost here his genius shone through.

Football has been taken away from us:

Yep, it's almost as good as being on the Rafa's Reviews blog. :D

"We need to know that I am talking about facts, not my impression. There are things that everyone can see reading this book.
I am not telling the readers what to do. But I have read this book five times and know how things are going on. I have decided that I had a lot of information and I have been watching every single page what has been going on.

And I was very clear, forget the rimaldo campaign because Mr Steve was killing the reviewers. But he is not punished."

That's too convincing, Walty. It'd be typical of Rafa's machiavellian shenanigans if he was, in fact, you.

Someone was calling me a past dweller the other week aswell...do they not realise the thing Liverpool fans are slated for is banging out about the ancient past i.e. pre Premier League. Otherwise, everybody talking about Football would be a past dweller as every single finished game is now in the past.

Big difference between banging on about a title won in 2013 than 1988.

From the sarcastic piss taking "we are shite" thread:

Who have we signed other than a 17 goal a season third choice striker, a £25m midfielder who was one of the best attackers in the league last season and a Ballack-esque top prospect from Germany? Load of fecking shite, where's Quaresma?

I think Stevie still has 2 more seasons of playing the majority of games in that deeper role. And by the time that comes to that, Emre Can will be an absolute boss midfielder.

I'd be surprised if any of them have seen Emre Can more than once (if even) and yet they are comparing him to Ballack. Madness.
I've seen him once. Against us. He was fecking shite.

My Liverpool supporting mates didn't agree, he's going to be amazing, apparently. Wouldn't tell me how often they've seen him play, though.

Ballack-esque prospect according to RAWK

I've seen Can about 25 times last season and while he has potential to do well in Rodgers' system, the Ballack comparison is so far off the mark it's typical RAWK
