Yes, I've been thinking about that a lot in the past few months (not in relation to the Suarez thing).

People are intent on believing that they are right and justifying that what is good for them is right. People twist logic in order to suit their opinion which is in fact based on pretty primal emotions.
 
I can't wait till the inevitable happens and Suarez leaves. It's bound to happen to this lot.

Absolutely bursting with pride reading that statement. Just got he from work and had such a busy day that not had time to read anything. So glad this is the 1st thing I've read. Massive support tonight and every night until Luis' name is cleared, the fa are ripped a new one and evra/d drunk bastard and their club are brought to justice!!!

Building a squad full of 'better' players than City is always going to be a losing battle, but we are going to build a squad that is more commited that any other in the league. And that will win you a title if paired with quality.

It's clear that the Club has some very intelligent people working behind the scenes. Certainly in the statement writing department. In my head of course it's Kenny setting the tone for this kind of thing, connecting us with the best aspects of the past, spirit, solidarity, acumen. Fantasy obviously, and the gold star goes to the lawyers and PR men.


Been in work all day so only just seen the statement, and it brought tears to my eyes. Just as with the club statement yesterday, fecking delighted with this. You'll never walk alone hasn't been so apt for over 20 years.

RAWK is a heady mix of sentimental and bitter middle aged men who crave the good old days, militant teenagers who dont know any different than the conspiracy bullshit they have been fed and others who latch on to a "cause"

What worries me, truly, is that the club and its manager seem to be feeding off this paranoia and that statement they released was just mindboggling and very unprofessional. Its really like they have become symbiotic with the paranoid faction of their fanbase. feckin mentalists the lot of them!

That's a great point. They won't get into Europe anytime soon so he'll be putting in a transfer request before long. They'll say he was hounded out of the country and then watch him move to City.

Well put, it's like a celebrity partying outside the liquor store with anyone they can find, eating at waffle house, it kinda takes some of the luster off their reputation. Isn't part of what makes any leader or institution great is not coddling every whim of the masses? Follow the opinion polls each week and end up in a ditch, covered in petrol, on fire.

Thank God Fergie doesn't try to satisfy the every whim of the supporters, we'd probably have players like Carrol on our team.
