RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

The irony is, I've seen so many people laughing at Man Utd's signings so far in Jones, Young and De Gea yet in the next breath they'll hail Jordan Henderson as the next Steven Gerrard and Stuart Downing as the next George Best.

You couldn't make it up.

The bitterness starts on Page 7

Guillem Ballague To reveal big name transfer - De Gea Signs for Man UTD

We've really rattled their cage with these big transfers!

I think two of the replies to the reasoned post on p.7 (the one which says our back 5 has potential for the future) encapsulate the mentality of posters on RAWK:

Bitter spastic 1

Two full backs are shite

His hatred and bitterness towards us completely bypasses any reasoned objective assessment regarding the ability of two of the world hottest young prospects in their positions

Bitter spastic 2

Subtle

Anyone who makes a reasoned assessment must be a United supporter posing as a Scouser

Is there a more bitter collection of deluded spastics anywhere on the globe?

It's funny the way they label people as mancs for posting anything less then bitter hatred about United.

There really are some full retards on there, it says a lot when Scholesy isn't the worst of them.

Scholesy comes across as the voice of reason in that thread

I think that >95% of the fans on that board are bona fide mentally insane, suffering from massive paranoia

Worse than some of the fans like Rossobianchi who is a staunch anti Glazer fan. I try and be less biased and pick my fights, but they seem ok with me. I've even had a laugh with Andy@Allerton who is clearly just a big WUM, he seems ok if you're ok with him.

Yeah I've read a few things that make it obvious he's a WUM.

Imagine you had all the money in the world what games would you play? (Sorry this is not a thread for those who answer 'I wouldnt play games I would eradicate poverty and secure world peace' - as I say different thread.)

The type of games you would play are....
1) I have the biggest feck off yacht in the world
2) And 30 cars that most people cannot afford one of
3) I own the rights to everything in Malagastan because I have made their despotic leader rich
4) I have the top team in the Premiership because I buy the best players for the most money and pay them the highest salaries
5) I have this incredible 747 (in fact two of them) kitted out with gym disco 5 double bedrooms and a home theatre

And so it goes ....you see it is great that Man Utd might have built a support base that generates 40m pound more revenue than my club but 40m quid is something that I earn pissing in the bog in the morning from my Kazakhstan oil rig. And so when the rules change and I can only spend what I earn in football it willl be very boring because I like to win by spending more than anyone else. So when FFP comes in it will be considered fair by many people but not by me cause I like to play a game that the winner is the guy with the biggest wallet, who buys what he wants because he can and the idea that I need to get value for money goes against the very principle that I win because I have the most. At that point the game simply becomes boring because I am only there to show how much money I have not how well I can spend it.

All the money in the world

:wenger:

Bit of a witch hunt going on over there against that loola poster.

Everything she has posted seems reasonable though, they're complete idiots. She has put her hands up and said "I don't support Man United" but they're still going on at her. One guy accused her for "slating all of the Liverpool players on there" but all she said was that Mata is in a different class to Downing, which everyone knows is true!

Paranoid bunch of trollops.

Bit of a witch hunt going on over there against that loola poster.

Yep, bit of a disgrace really. I know on forums on the net, you have to take it on the chin but they're getting quite nasty with that Loola person. He/she has already stated they don't support any football team, they simply just like watching football. As hard as it may be to believe, there are people out there who like the the game but don't follow a particular team, I know one or two people like that.

They're not a very welcoming bunch, are they?

Like Jews on Christmas they were those ayrans.

Someone should invite that loola over here so she can piss them off some more. She already knows Mata is better than Downing so she knows more about football than some people on here.

Over at RAWK they are claiming that we are 1,2 BILLION pounds in debt. You couldn't make it up.

RAWK are convinced that Fergie has forced Bruce to bid for Wickham and Stoke to bid for Dann to stop Liverpool from getting them.

It's like having blonde hair and walking into a Nazi bunker.

Please excuse my Benitez moment, my excuse is lack of sleep for 2 days! Back to RAWK, why is it that they have had the same threads for years now? Aren't they allowed new ones or can only specific members post them? Twiggy you'd probably be best to answer this.

Steven Gerrard has declared that Liverpool “will get the championship again” - oi, stop laughing Man United fans! Despite it being 21 years since the Reds last finished top of the pile (when Gerrard was yet to turn 10 years old), the Liverpool skipper is confident Kenny Dalglish can bring the title back to Anfield again.

“What I can say is Liverpool will be back among the trophies sooner rather than later because we are moving in the right direction,” said Gerrard. “We have got fantastic players, the structure of the club is healthy from top to bottom and that means the team won't be too far away from winning. It's difficult to say when because that adds pressure to the team, but we will get the championship again.”

AUGUST 2006

What Gerrard said: “We ended last season with 11 wins on the trot, eight in the league and that is title-winning form. I must admit I'm excited about what next season could bring for us because I know we have a team of very good players here who can challenge for the Premiership.”

What happened: Liverpool finished third, 21 points behind champions Manchester United

OCTOBER 2007

What Gerrard said: “Seventeen years? That’s far too long and we feel we have all the tools now to pull it off. We’ve got the manager, the team, the new owners putting money in and a stadium to come. The manager has strengthened in the right places, there’s no doubt about that.”

What happened: Liverpool finished fourth, 11 points behind champions Manchester United

MAY 2008

What Gerrard said: “I can see that the team is getting stronger and stronger and I can see that we are going forward. I feel that we are getting closer and I really believe that.”

What happened: Liverpool finished second, four points behind champions Manchester United

MAY 2009

What Gerrard said: “This time I’m going to use the experience to drive me on and try to win the title over the next few years. We certainly have the ability, as we’ve shown this year… I think next year could be our year – I’m really confident about that.”

“I honestly believe in my heart of hearts that this team will win the Premier League… I believe we're too good not to win it.”

AUGUST 2009

“You have to go into every new season prepared to do all you can to make it happen and I genuinely believe we can do it. This city would absolutely erupt if we did.”

What happened: Liverpool finished seventh, 23 points behind champions Chelsea

The Istanbul Rafa App

Wasn't sure where to post this.

Tony Barrett mentioning on Twitter that "apparently Rafa Benitez is bringing out an app all about the 2005 CL final & he wants LFC fans to send in photos from Istanbul.

Anyone interested in sending in Istanbul pics for Rafa app should go to therafaapp.com for details."

The Rafa App

Fair play to Rafa. Unemployed, pay-off money running low, no one wants him, a figure of fun, but he's trying his hand at app development. Rafa is back in the game.

He'll make a fortune from gullible nostalgic dippers too. Maybe he's smarter than we give him credit for?

Can Liverpool please get over that 2005 final? Yes it was great, but it was 6 years ago... you don't see us shoehorning apps or making posts like "...oh it was almost like that night in Barcelona!"

A couple of weeks old but

Dalglish spends £8m at vending machine 10-06-11

LIVERPOOL manager Kenny Dalglish has defended his decision to spend £8m on a bag of crisps and a can of Irn Bru.

Takes £10m notes

He fought off bids from rival managers who were willing to pay up to £1.30 for the snacks and sees the purchase as a sign of Liverpool's renewed ambition.

He continued to stuff cheques into the coin slot of the vending machine until an engineer was called.

Dalglish said: "You've got to understand that there's always a premium for home-grown soft drinks like Irn Bru as they instinctively understand the British way of having lunch. And it's a full sugar can so it's got bags of energy.

"Combined with the crisps - limited edition Marmite flavour so we really had to loosen the purse strings - it's going to go brilliantly with this corned beef roll that I picked up for £20m.

"It's Fray Bentos corned beef so I'm expecting a bit of that South American flair with my dinner today. It's the kind of meal that tells the Chelseas and the Uniteds that we mean exceptionally expensive business."

Assistant Steve Clarke has angrily asked why nobody was monitoring Dalglish while the former Chelsea man was away in Italy being shown around the remains of Aquilani.

Clarke said: "I thought we had learned from January when he was allowed out for an hour to see what was in the John Lewis sale and he came back with a sofa shaped like Andy Carroll that we've no room for?"

The Daily Mash - Dalglish spends £8m at vending machine

They're yaping about the FFP , can't wait for it to fecked us up

What an irony, Glazer never donated anything to us, while in the meantime... FSW....

Hmm I thought the FFP was good news for United.

"Get used to United's spending power
Manchester United's summer spending is now in excess of £50m. Get used to it, because when the financial fair play regulations are fully introduced United will be the only English team able to indulge in this way, with predictable results."

It is, it'll only hamper Chelsea, City and "the next play toy"

We have been pretty much solid and astute in terms of financial spending

I doubt Liverpool are allowed to spend 50+M every summer considering they're not even in the CL
