RAWK Goes Into Meltdown (2011/2012)

Speaking of which - I do sometimes wonder how a couple of Scousers feel about their help towards the modern Utd era.

I'm thinking of the disgusting pair who approached our young players after a defeat asking them for autographs which they sportingly gave - only to have them ripped up in front of them amid much laughter and abuse. SAF later told them never to forget it iirc. Giggsy was one I think.

Yes, I've heard Giggsy tell it, he said it made him more determined

I know but they are obsessed with us. do we really talk about them on this forum as much as they talk about us?

They are obsessed with us because we are top of table and year in year out we were approaching overtaking their title counts, then we surpassed them, then now on way to better it. If they are not jealous, I would be very surprised.

Found this gem!

How many Liverpool fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
Only 1 but they are happy living in Uniteds shadow.

I dunno, theres plenty of other threads about them!

They are more bitter where as we tend more to laugh at them, but we definitely talk about them just as much for me.

Agreed. They hate us as much as we hate them. We're the only two marjorly successful teams in England when you think about it and we're always going to be looking out for each other's results.

I love the rivalry, personally. If that makes me obsessed, so be it.

Noticed that A@A is actually pulled up on his bullshit on two separate occasions in that thread? First someone says there was definitely Munich chants at Dalglish first FA cup game (as evidence that it does happen, despite A@A saying it hasn't happened for years), A@A denies it, says what part of Anfield he's sitting in and asks where it happened. He's then reminded that the game was at OT, to which he replies, that he didn't go to that game and let the discussion die despite being disproven.

He then states that the Alan Smith incident was a big media lie too, but someone else in the thread said he was at the spot where it happened. A@A then blames it on a mix-up on streetnames or something like that - again being disproven.

I wonder how often this actually happens if you bother reading RAWK. He spouts an awful lot of shit and most of the posters lap it up, but there seems to be a few decent ones who pull him up on it.

It is incredible though that they've got a thread that's more than two pages long and not one poster have mentioned that fact that that very chant has been sung for months. Sure, the timing was bad, but to interpret it solely as a reference to Hillsborough just shows that the chant is actually spot on.

I think it generally accepted that Andy is just a ball bag and he is just as ridiculed on there than he is on here. He is their Scholesy only doesnt get banned.

non rawk bell end said:
Phil Dowd has been appointed as the referee for the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool. The 49-year-old will take charge of the Wembley showpiece for the first time in his career on 5 May.

Very happy about that. Was dreading the thought of getting Webb or Atkinson.

 thefeck does it matter who refs it? hahaha
The paranoia runs deep when in a game against Chelsea you are hoping certain refs (who apparently favour United..) don't ref.

Tin foil time!

On the 20 Premier League seasons voting:

I just went in there and voted for everything Liverpool related and then chose something preferably not Manc related for the other ones.

Except for Roy Keane in the midfield next to Gerrard.

Shit league. Shit refs. Shit FA.

Need to sort it out before the arse falls out of it. Fans from pretty much every club are getting fed up with the bias, favouritism, one-rule-for-one and money you have to spend to watch it.

It's a farce of a list. Absolute farce.

I love starting things from arbitrary dates.

Go from 1961.

La Liga is better and always has been.

Heap of shit.

The Spanish league is fecking miles away in quality compared to the Premiership. The Premiership routinely produces some of the worst football I've ever seen.
You should know

I am hearing murmourings that they are creating one of their banners they are obsessed with to complain about Chelsea fans at the FA Cup Final.

A poster asks:
The last two pens won by Young were obviously clear dives. But what of the previous six? Were they for real or was he cheating then as well?

A@A replies:
They were all theatrical. Five of them were dubious. Two of them were obvious dives.

The poster resonds:
Cheers Andy, and no disrespect, but is there a rational poster who can confirm this?

Their matchday thread for Chavs v Barca is an interesting read - it's full of the usual "I hope Drogba breaks his leg" comments but they were REALLY bitter about them winning last night and how they're the "luckiest team in the world" etc.

Whilst I'm not keen on Chelsea FC or it's supporters myself, the level of bitterness on there is at it's strongest this season. They seem to reach new heights, year upon year, season upon season.

When any other team is winning games, it's "luck" and "shit refs" but when they're winning (which isn't a regular thing these days ) it's "Kenny's bringing back success" and "We're the best team and supporters in the world" etc.

Such a strange bunch of individuals. I wonder if they actually do believe their own shite in 'real life'?

Oh and there's no thread on Manchester United being the most valuable club in the world. If anyone's got a log-in, please go and post it.

 :wenger:

They are bitter about Chelsea being more worth then them and believe it or not it's some kind of conspiracy agains them since last year they were worth much more with previous owners in charge and now with Kenny and "progress" they are worth much less. You just couldn't make up shit they post over there...

Well found mate - just made a cuppa and I've got a few biccies, going to enjoy this

From the rich list thread

Who's arsed?

Our history and tradition is, and always will be priceless.

Classic.

Hmm... Carroll is almost 10% of our value then....

 loved that one.

These valuations are meaningless in footballing terms just the supposed value of a club's brand. Even in financial terms it is rather meaningless, I couldn't give a feck about this to be honest all I want is to be top of the league table. Also we've won it 5 times.

Lol. they're really bitter

Someone there put it right in their face : history has no value monetary wise

Probaly some old folks still root for them, but ask any kids playing football in the streets abroad, they'll probably won't even remember there's a club called LFC

I am hearing murmourings that they are creating one of their banners they are obsessed with to complain about Chelsea fans at the FA Cup Final.

There was a large "Alan Davies is a cnut" banner at the semi. I'd be amazed if they didn't. It wouldn't be undeserved tbf.

If you could find someone willing to pay 1 billion in cash, you would be working for the scum now because they would bit your arm off.

They wouldnt even get half of what it says they are worth, considering they are over 500 million in debt.

The club is a farce, riddled with corruptness and rats

Whatever...

united are only worth that much because of the 10% percent which was floated on the Singapore stock exchange. Share were bought at a ridiculously inflated price.

err...what? (It hasn't happened yet you numpty...

I was reading a chapter on self-denial and bias yesterday. Apparently the brain actually rewards itself with dopamine when we manage to interpret information in a way that fits in with already held beliefs.

Liverpool FC, a victim of science :(

Is that cognitive dissonance?
