Was it Lindelof who grabbed Gini's(?) Shirt with both hands and pulled him back in injury time?
fecking absolutely hate seeing that with a passion. Remember Herrera nearly ripping Bobby's shirt off his back a few seasons ago.
Should be a straight red when its that blatant.
It was on Origi. Shockingly blatant cheating.
They were grabbing shirts all game especially remember the Pogba pull on Salah, but linesman or ref didn't want to know then.
..We cannot keep saying we played when we let in 3 goals. We are much better than going down the route of winning without actually winning.
Thought the Mancs schooled us for a large amount of that. They never really looked in trouble, kept their composure and definitely looked like the form team that they currently are. We looked nothing like the strutting champions that we used to be. Worrying times.
They were terrible in the 2nd half. Only scored due to a mistake and a very soft freekick. We were the much better side for large parts of that match.
feck me, some people just can't help themselves
WHAT THE feck WERE YOU WATCHING? A twilight zone game of the game that the rest watched?
Don't think you watched the same second half that I did.
Last 15 mins of the 1st half yes Utd gave us a hiding down their left flank, but overall I'd say we edged it across the game. Shame we didn't get that 3rd when we had them against the ropes for 10 or so minutes. In fairness, even at our peak, over the decades, we've generally never played well at Old Trafford.
.You’re having a laugh here Rich ffs their 1st and 3rd goals came totally against the run of play like I said earlier if Matip is playing we win that game.
Some green shoots tonight of us getting back to our best up front . The defence is killing us . Williams is a really nice player with the ball at his feet and he won practically every header he is just very young and gets caught out when not protected.
We scored goals and didn't embarrass ourselves.
Goals could've been avoidable but that's how it is.
Roll on Spurs
The best I’ve seen is play at that shithole since that glorious day when we won 3-0, granted that’s not much of a high bar to hit but still, we played well and we’re unlucky enough not to win - Salah should score the third but I’ll let him off seen as he was boss that said.
As even the Mancs are diving c*nts and the ref has bought Cavani’s dive, really frustrating but if this is the green shoots of recovery ahead of the (much bigger) game against Spurs then fair enough.
Ask yourself this. Do these current results happen with VVD and Gomez / Matip (other proper CB ) in our starting line up?
This article says it all
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...united-liverpool-fa-cup-defence-b1792003.html
As far as winning things, this season is a write off. Just got to hope we finish top 4
.This mentality is so fecking bizarre.
6 points off the top with half a season to go.
If only we had a billionaire owner who could give the club £20m to get a CB.
Be like City you mean? No ta.
.No that's not what I said. At all. Is it?
Hmmm. One funnels hundreds of millions in to the club and cooks the books. I'm asking ours to put £20m in to the club in the middle of a period where our funds have been hurt thanks to a pandemic to solve a massive crisis at CB that could destroy our season.
Matchday revenue is £84 million. We've played 18 games since the restart last season at Anfield, that's around £60 million lost so far.
We signed a LB, forward and midfield in the summer
And got the money back from Lovren, Brewster, Hoever.
Arsenal spent £70m, villa spent £80m, Everton £87m, Leicester £57m, Man Utd £87m, Newcastle £35m, Sheff Utd £50m, Spurs £60m.
Please don't talk about matchday revenue.
That money is excluded from FFP so there is nothing stopping FSG from investing in their business. A business that is worth far more than they paid for it.
that's the thing.. If the owners are smart, and we all know they are, they should have grown their wealth during the pandemic. All American billionaires have. Massively.
45 Back underway. One of the teams attacks the Stretford end, but I don’t know which end it is so I can’t comment.
...keeper?
That pornography tab
You’ve gone very early for post of the year with that other tab
On point with the tab. But should have more.
@JakeC you have created the ultimate meme!
Is the third tab a photoshopped title alluding to Fernandes' free kick?
Hahahaha Tabs again!

Post of the year
Messaged my Scouse mate saying "that was better than last week"
Got a reply "oh, what happened? I didn't watch it, I'm guessing yous won because 'football'"
They can't take it.
Imagine claiming not to have even checked the result, let alone refused to watch it. What is wrong with these lads?
So do you count Klopp in that group as he has recently stated we are in a fight for top 4.
Given 1st place is in the top 4 I’ll safely assume Klopp doesn’t think we can’t win the title.
Burnley's goal came about through Fabinho a makeshift centre back being rolled. I agree we could have been more cohesive going forward.
He got rolled again today as well, but thats also down to the very experienced striker in front of him suckering in him into the challenge.
It’s absolutely fecking ridiculous the amount I’ve seen who have just given up the title, let alone the ones saying we’ll be lucky to get a CL spot.
Hopefully the players haven’t given up like those lot.
We’re quite capable of going on a run and winning most, if not all, the rest of the games this season.
I think the title is gone not just because of all our injuries and how poorly we have been playing recently, but by just how good City have been.
I hate them as a club and what they stand for but they are looking extremely solid and much better than us
This is a turning point for us - mark my words - roll on spurs!
What if they haven't got that 20 million in the current climate, considering the world is going through a global pandemic?
Yeah I'm sure billionaire John Henry has lost all of his money. For some reason.
A global pandemic by the way which has saw the world billionaires combined wealth go up by over 10 TRILLION.
But yeah, John Henry will be the one who has lost all his money.
I've seen £20m mentioned a few times now. Which centre back are we getting for that money?
Someone streets better than Matt Philips and Rhys Williams.
Nat Phillips*
Who is available for £20 million ?
Put Van Dijk and Gomez back in this team, put Fabinho in midfield, how do things look?
You get Thiago 10 yards higher instead of splitting between the centre halves.
You now have Henderson on the right again linking up with Trent.
It glaring how obvious it is.
Vvd amd Gomez are both injured.
So it will be Matip and this mystery CB we are signing for £20 million.
Reports a few weeks ago said Botman and Kabak were available for around £20m. Are they good enough? feck knows
Lots of credible sources saying Eder Militao at Madrid is available on loan.
Is he good enough ?
Signing a CB isn’t going to resolve the issues we have had instantly as Chopper says.
There are a few first teamers out of form.
The fact you think Liverpool football club, one of the richest football clubs in the world don't have enough money to buy a centre half of better quality than two kids who should be on loan in the Championship is credit to the PR Job FSG have done on you.
That maybe true in a normal year, but we are not living in normal times are we?
They bought the club for 300 million quid, we're now worth 2 billion. Record kit deals. New sponsors every week. We've spent next to feck all for 2 years while winning the league and Champions League. After we won the Champions League we spent nothing.
I utterly refuse to believe they cannot make the money work. Lend it. Give the best manager in our history what he needs. By denying him this i fear they're souring their relationship with him, and if he fecks off we'll be back to routinely coming 5-8th, like every other season under their ownership apart from 13/14.
..And FSG are worth around $5bn...currently.
It's like RAWK circa a decade ago or so. Posters revealing in defeats.
This is nothing like Rawk a decade ago, with people being “done with football” left right and centre as soon as the teams hits a rough patch. A decade ago, late January 2011, we were far worse off and bouncing.
..There's always been an element of a few seemingly revelling in us being poor but this is the first significant drop off in what, 2/3 years? It's really weird.
.Haven't watched the highlights yet but kinda pleased we scored a couple. Thats an improvement on the last few games for sure.
Conceding three though? Will need to watch the game.
Short version of what follows: Sick of watching Liverpool get bullied.
good to see us score twice. Mo. Yay
AND away. AND you know what they say: form goes out the window in a derby
so them beating us like this took BULLSHIT to pull off, but we still put two past em. our goals can be used for positive influence.
theirs is... temporary luck.
besides, don't think our squad is healthy enough for the FA Cup. I want the CL and I want the league
"Luis Suarez, he loves the club..." Just before he leaves for Barcelona.Yes lads those are the ones “I’m not having that” etc was too funny.
“He’s offside” “NOOOO” cracks me up.
I dunno, it's proper mental.Imagine claiming not to have even checked the result, let alone refused to watch it. What is wrong with these lads?
JOHN HENRY IS A BILLIONAIRE.
What do you not get about this? He isn't some lad applying to the government for furlough because... oh wait. He tried that actually.
He's worth a shit load. Dropping £20m of his own cash won't make a dent. The guy bought a $100m yacht for himself. Oh and by the way, billionaires combined wealth has went up 10 TRILLION in the last year. Trillion.
Stop making out like this pandemic is hurting the 1%.
feck me. You’re like the stickman Everton cartoon about Bitters thinking Moshiri’s money belongs to the club.
Think you need to understand business.
It has nothing to do if its hurting the 1%. The businesses will run and operate like a business. Henry isn't going to put 20m of his own cash in.. That just Disney Thinking
It is a Football club not a business.
It's not that simple though. Yes, he's a billionaire. But he's not going to take funds out of his personal account and tell Klopp to go and sign someone.
Having said that, I do agree with the poster that said doing nothing is a far greater risk. What happens if we drop out of the top four and don't get the CL revenue for next season and the pandemic continues? It makes far more sense to take the financial risk now in order to try and avoid an even bigger risk in the near future.
He is running it as a business so any outgoings must be financed by revenue. Someone said here it is estimated we have lost £60m in match day receipts. Even if Henry put in his money he will make it as a loan to us which we have to pay back with interest. At the moment I don’t see him having that appetite. He didn’t become a billionaire by being careless with money. He is a businessman first and a fan second. I sometimes wished he could open up his wallet more. My weekends would be indefinitely better.
billionaires combined wealth has went up 10 TRILLION in the last year. Trillion.
This isn't quite accurate. The combined wealth of billionaires was estimated to be worth about $8.2 trillion. During the financial chaos created by the Covid pandemic, it has increased by about 25% to reach just over $10 trillion. Their combined wealth hasn't increased by 10 trillion.
Klopp has a net spend of something like £110m since becoming manager, that’s less than £20m a season of anyone thinks we either a) haven’t got the funds or b) don’t think he deserves to have the funds made available they’re having a laugh.
1. We have won the CL and the first title in 30 years . Let’s be grateful . Can you imagine being a Sheffield United fan ?
2. We were missing our spine . Van Dijk/Hendo/Jota. 2 of the 3 coming back soon
I am however surprised that we aren’t buying a centre back . Fabinho is needed in centre mid , lovren not replaced , VVD and Gomez may not come back at the same level . It’s a no brainer and may rescue the season .
He bought a yacht? When? And how he spends his personal money is his business surely?
.Didn't say it wasn't his business.
It's his money. I think he should help the manager considering how much richer Jurgen has made him.
shocking to see people blame the ref? Fabinho should have seen 2 yellows and mane was a close orange to be honest.
..There’s enough weapons on here without importing knobhead Utd fans
Frustrated to see Thiago go off and Jones stay on. Not for the first time, I thought Jones had a pretty poor game and Thiago & Bobby were playing well in the 2nd half.
..Probably didn't want to risk Thiago ducking under anymore shots.
..United are extremely continental now.
Dive dive dive play act
Fred getting Mané booked for a full blooded tackle, cavani screaming winning them the game
Wheres the usual "we need to work harder to turn this around" interview garbage?
Be a nice change to show some anger. Need to knock some heads together this aint good enough.
..Who is he getting angry at? The 19 year old?
All these posters saying sign a CB for £20 million aren’t mentioning actual available players who will fit our system
Amazing that you seem to be ignoring what Klopp says.
Got to love this place. Liverpool have one senior CB who occassionally isn't broken. The other two are out for the season. Despite the blindingly obvious problem there are still those who will defend not buying a CB, if only cover. There arguments, broadly;
1] There are none available (Klopp has previously said there are always players available)
2] There are none available at the right price for a club like Liverpool (Matip was a free, Robertson £8m, Gomez £2m)
3] CB is not the problem (CB is clearly the problem)
4] Liverpool can't afford it (the same argument was made during the summer before LFC spent £80m on 3 players)
5] Poor John can't afford it (won't someone think of the 1%)
6] Owners can't put money into a business just like that (owners routinely do exactly that)
7] FFP (has been relaxed during the pandemic)
What is also annoying is these same arguments are made every transfer window whe Liverpool are inactive. Won't somebody think of the accountancy department? LFC's relative poverty was also referred to during the summer window. It sort of made sense then (even though Liverpool had made bumper profits after the CL and PL wins) but became less believable as 3 players arrived late for big money. No doubt the wise heads will nod sagely if Liverpool exit the window minus a CB, but will stay quiet when the accounts come out in Feb and aren't nearly as bad as expected.
The amazing thing is that people are making excuses even though the manager clearly wants a defender.
Even Wright changed his mind and admitted he got caught up in the momentFeck me. How anyone. No matter how blinkered or biased thinks that wasn’t a free kick on cavani is beyond me. Whatever about rawk. Listening to Jermaine jenas and Ian Wright talking shite nearly made me spew.

Well if we were going to go out Idve wanted :
* a good performance. Check
* A high scoring game. Check
* goals for us. At least 2. Check
* chances created. Check
* united to have won it fortunately either with a mistake or a refs decision. Check and check
Even Wright changed his mind and admitted he got caught up in the moment
It's hilarious. It's a free kick all day. There's nothing controversial about it.
The cognitive dissonance from them is amazing. It could be a studs up sliding tackle at the byline and they'd fall it a dive.Feck me. How anyone. Oh did he? I was watching BBC and must have missed that or was it later?

On Twitter, the only platform that matters.
is in these moments you all forgot the most important thing:
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
Can we not get rid of this trolling Manc c*nt?
I know this is more of a thread to laugh but am I the only one who thinks its incredibly entitled and spoilt for the fans to be demanding transfers right now?
Has literally any club made any move of note in this window so far? Have they thought that perhaps there may be some difficulties clubs are facing right now with the pandemic?

Their model has ALWAYS been spend what we generate through the club. That's their simple rule. No getting us into debt and no personal funding.
Served us well so far.
Stop blaming FSG's methods. It's clear as day that it's Covid that has fecked us.
I don't give a shit about their pre covid model. No issues with it in normal times. Self sustainable model is perfectly fine. Although it took a genius manager to finally work but fine.
This isn't normal times though. So step the feck up and help the manager who's helped massively increase the value of the club.
The need was clear and obvious well before January. We've wasted a month already. They've sat on their hands praying the manager works miracles for them all over again. Maybe now they'll realise that's not going to happen.
..Maybe they don’t actually care?
We won the League because our key players stayed fit, and we had an incredible mentality. Bobby, VVD and Trent played all 38 games. Gini 37, Robbo 36, Mane 35 and Mo 34. They are insane numbers and it was never going to last.
And we signed three players in summer to bolster the squad
I know this is more of a thread to laugh but am I the only one who thinks its incredibly entitled and spoilt for the fans to be demanding transfers right now?
Has literally any club made any move of note in this window so far? Have they thought that perhaps there may be some difficulties clubs are facing right now with the pandemic?
Cracks me up that one guy saying we were terrible and only scored because they made mistakes. Do those mistakes make them not terrible then?
FixedThey really are a bunch of bitter, delusional, tinfoil hat, full kit wearing wankers.
Messaged my Scouse mate saying "that was better than last week"
Got a reply "oh, what happened? I didn't watch it, I'm guessing yous won because 'football'"
They can't take it.
It also happens to be salahs go to move to draw a foul. They should know it wellI get being biased, we all are to a point, but not seeing the knee smack into Cavani is just plain idiotic. Calling it a dive? They are so utterly delusional it’s worrying.
It’s like Thanos arrived with all the stones and changed the course of the universe so Liverpool would finally win the title. Then the Avengers went and reset everything to how it was before with United ahead of them and conspiracies everywhere. You love to see it.Maybe they're coming to grips with the fact that retaining the title is harder than they first expected?
