I liked Vlahovic he’s still very young and has had a groin injury. But I agree would be an unnecessary risk to bring him in next season.

I didnt suggest him, i mentioned him because noone wants him but has similair stats to this guy
If Kane is bought this kid should be signed with him, he really looks the part.
Just can't see us signing two strikers UNLESS one is a free agent like Thuram

Maybe one may be a fee like you mention, but I think we will sign two for the simple fact its more than likely we HAVE to sign two strikers.
Wieghorst surely not a cat in hells chance he stays, it seems through the press the Glazers are a reason Martial has lasted this long he simply has to go and them selling brings more hope, Greenwood looke unlikely to resume a career here....that literally leaves our squad with Rashford as a striker or a false number 9 which we have never done and none of our youngsters look anywhere near ready if ever at all to play in the first team.
Personally I would rather we go down the route of signing a couple of young talented strikers rather than £100m+ on Omishen who I think is good but never a £100m striker and Kane who my gut feelign just tells me is not worth that kind of outlay when my gut feeling is he has reached his peak and I think there is maybe 1 more big season out of him and then the trajectory is downwards, a bit like Van Persie who was obviously great here and won as a title, I dont think signing Kane wins us the title next season.
Not seen anything of Hojlund, Vitor Roque or Sesko but these kind of profile players, top potential and highly rated special younger talents already breaking through....no doubt I am missing some from memory, but we havent really done these kind of signings since Luke Shaw
Yes I agree we need 2 strikers and would go both ends of the spectrum an experienced player and a breakout player who would come off the bench. Hojland and Kane or similar. Kane will probably be too expensive though

For a club who have signed Lukaku, Ibrahimovic, Ighalo and Weghorst as strikers - we sure seem to be wierd about Harry Kane.

He's very raw. Much rather someone polished like Osimhen. Kane I think will break down sooner rather than later but I'd take him every day of the week over someone like Hojlund.
Lookman at Atlanta is a better player imo.
If he was signed for sensible money and wasn't the main striker bought this summer then he's one who could turn out to be well worth a punt.

I would check the minutes, a lot of those appearances were as a sub and he has been more and more impactful as the season has gone on. Not the finished article but I would definitely take him and certainly if it was as an additional signing behind a proven striker.
On paper it's obviously not a great return. 42 appearences for club and country this season with 17 goals and 2 assists, he is raw no doubt about it, but his attributes are extremely good and he's only just turned 20.
He's very fast, already has good strength and height for his age, a good left foot on him and he's pretty good at dribbling and bringing others into play.
I know people are saying we shouldn't be relying on him, and I agree he's young, he ideally should be brought in alongside a much more accomplished striker. But when was the last time we invested in a good young forward, all I can remember is the likes of Ibrahimovic and Ighalo, Cavani, now Weghorst. It's about time we got the blood of a young forward in the team hungry for goals.
Kane is going to cost in excess of 100mill it looks like, Osimhen 100-150, Ramos 80-100 with other teams on the lookout for a striker too, it might be that we have to go for someone like Hojlund and honestly I wouldn't be against it. Slot him into a better team with us and have the likes of Bruno feeding him and I have absolutely no doubt your'll see his numbers go way up. Reminder again that he's 20 and plays for Atalanta, his stats suggest he isn't getting much service in order to get into a position to take a lot of shots and it shows, but with us i've no doubt he will.
If he can be brought in alongside a Kane, amazing. But I can't remember the last time United fans were this down on recruiting a young exciting forward prospect, I think Fergie would be excited at the prospect of signing the likes of him or Ferguson.

You say you have "no doubt" his numbers will go way up if he plays for us, but that's not so obvious to me. Some players step up a level when they join a new team, some remain at a fairly consistent rate of return throughout their career. In short, some players are 1 in 3 and that's as good as it gets. We don't know for sure how this guy will pan out. He has youth on his side but it can't be taken for granted that he'll become a top goalscorer, we have to admit there is a ton of risk involved.
Atalanta have actually scored more goals within their league than we have within ours. So while we may be better man for man, relative to our league we are struggling to score goals at a good rate. Whether a youngster that you are describing as raw is the man to help transform that, I don't know.
I don't think he is, which is why I said it's much much better if we bring him in with the likes of Kane. I'm just speculating that our hand might be forced because of;
A) The Ownership situation
B) Our Finances
C) The very small market with top choices being in near excess of 100-150 million if reports are true
D) Other teams like Bayern are reported to be in the market for a top striker
In which case we're going to have to make some tough choices, whether it's this guy or somebody else. Bayern are reportedly keen on Kolo Muani which is someone else we apparently have an eye on, so we really need to be proactive here, especially if we buy Kane who is 30, could have some great years ahead of him, he could also decline rapidly who knows and we have to be in the market for a striker again in a couple of years.

Many of those 42 appearances are sub appearance though. His actual return per 90 mins is actually not bad at all, 19 goals+assists in 1819 mins, which is avg 0.94 goals+assist per 90 mins. I thought that's a very good ratio for 20 year old striker who is in his debut season.
I agree he looks pretty good at dribbling and bring others into play. I think we should try to sign him if the price is right.

Yeah feel he needs to play the Alvarez type role at City with Kane playing the Haaland one. This will take the pressure off and allow him the necessary time to settle.
Yeah makes me wonder who people would take as a backup to the main striker if this guy is seen as not good enough even for that

I think Ramos has the X-factor. This lad would be a big risk. Osimhen and Kane the top targets though surely, shame we aren’t in a position to buy a star striker and a Hojlund/Ferguson as understudy.
Isn’t he a bit too young to lead the line at an elite player club like United? Even Rooney came to us when we had RVN. Developing steadily at a relaxed club like Brighton is very different to the spot line and intensity at United
I don't know after Darwin I'm a bit iffy on Ramos, I think he'll cost more than Hojlund and to me they seem to be in a similar boat. Neither you'd say is bordering elite yet, but both have the potential to be at least playing for a top team in a top 5 league at some point in their career.
If we were gonna risk it for one of these players than I'd least take the one that's cheaper. Also I don't think he'll be that expensive. I can see 40+20million in add-ons pounds as something Atalanta would be open to going for. They can't ask for anything north of 60 million and expect to get it when Hojlund hasn't shown enough yet.
