Reminds me of the headless mean the ancient greeks believed lived in India.

Why would that be? Technically the club is not even obligated to announce the signing. As long as the paperwork is taken care of, he's our player.
Because he would be noticed immediately, and it would be a weird situation. It’s not like players arrive to Carrington via a hidden underground passage or something

That and if he can train this week and play on the weekend, we get pictures of them training nearly on the daily, he'll be spotted training with the team so it would be extremely weird to just not announce it at that point when we can clearly see him training

There are multiple examples of players training and getting integrated with the team before the official announcement. The squad knowing about the situation and the public knowing about the situation are two different things.

Jordan Henderson is the latest example. He was even pictured training with his Saudi club before they announced him.

There are also times and days when the club photographers are not there at training sessions, mostly due to these kind of situations. He may not be training with the team yet but if the paperwork is done there’s nothing stopping him. The clubs are very good at keeping things hidden from the public if need be.

Wait Hojlund posted that photo on Facebook? So he announced himself like Onana?

Wonder if that account is even him.

They won’t announce over the weekend if we intend to play him in one of the friendlies which I’m sure we are

Tonight/tomorrow at the latest

Will he play at the weekend though, remember we were told similar with Onana for Arsenal

Why would him flying a day later delay the announcement for three days?

Surely you'd want him playing a part again Lens? There's the Athletic game but you don't really want to stick him on a plane again surely.

Hardly a disaster just means we may not seem him play until the Wolves game
But doesn’t we need to give him practice minutes before an official debut? It’s borderline idiocy to miss on a chance to play him in a friendly and get him up to speed for some photography-related announcement reasons

It's a disaster when, if there's no problem with the medical, he cannot be training today/tomorrow and play on the weekend, why the hold up? Delayed announcement by 3 days is stupid

I'm sure there's a reason. Chill.

Somehow I feel Luckhurst is full of bs (once again).

When Højlund was at FC Copenhagen, he always could find the right position to score, but he missed every chance. He actually did not score a single goal in the domestic league. But in the Confrence League he scored 5 goals in 10 games. That's why it was a little confusing to follow him the first time. You could see that there was a talent. But he seemed to be a poor finisher. But that changed almost the moment he switched clubs to Sturm Graz.

It was a bit of a strange situation and I don't know if he just had to get used to being a senior player and FC Copenhagen lost patience too quickly. At the same time, there was good competition for the striker places in FC Copenhagen. So if Højlund did not succeed immediately, he could not count on playing. Especially not as a young talent who had yet to prove anything at senior level.

His development over the past year has been explosive and I hope it hasn't gone too fast for him. Because it is clear that there is great potential.
What are his brothers like? Have you seen them play?

That article literally makes zero sense. The announcement may well be delayed but it sure as hell is not for the reason his flight got delayed by 2 hours, so they decided to postpone the announcement by 3 days.

This- unless there are factors the MEN isn't reporting ( Hojlund FB tease suggests there aren't) this seems complete BS. Friday AM at the latest, surely, with pre-recorded soc media released, then training and a press conference...

More likely it'd be tomorrow mid-afternoon for the NYSE.
