Oh noo.. he idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nope. It was just a light-hearted comment. Don't be so defensive, man . I love Ronaldo as well.Did you not mention this earlier in this thread as well? Which player does not idolize him? He's one of the best players of all time.
I think you’re wrong but you’re entitled to your wrong opinion
As a 20 year old and he’s just been snapped up by a big team. Let’s go!Stats wise he is a good Championship striker
I think it’s pretty optimistic to expect a 20 year old to come from Italy and match the goals of a striker that plays for a team that finished above us last season.I'd hope he gets more goals than Jesus tbh. Jesus is a great all-round player but his finishing is pretty crap

If we can get 15-20 goals from Hojlund and Martial this season, it would make a big difference. I’d expect more from our wide players too, but less from rashford this time around.
I don't think 11 goals is that big of an ask for a striker at Man Utd. Toney got 20 goals, Wilson got 18, Watkins got 15, Mitrovic got 14 and Rodrigo got 13. If we really don't think he can match any of those then the signing is questionable. 11-12 in his 1st season would be ok if he can push on to about 15 the following season. Less than that isn't good enough for what we need I'm afraid.I think it’s pretty optimistic to expect a 20 year old to come from Italy and match the goals of a striker that plays for a team that finished above us last season.

These players probably took penalties for their respective team, right? In any case, I think 10-15 league goals would have been more than acceptable for a young striker joining a new league, and certainly not going to sound many alarms if he doesn’t hit it in the first year.I don't think 11 goals is that big of an ask for a striker at Man Utd. Scamacca going for a reported €20m. I know he's been out of sorts at West Ham, but if he could regain some form it wouldn't be a bad deal to compliment Hojlund
Scamacca is a good cautionary tale about why we shouldn’t put too much pressure on Rasmus immediately. Age 21 (first season in Serie A) and he scores 8 goals in 1,300 minutes. He then builds on that with 16 league goals the following season, before West Ham spent big money on him. Managed 3 goals in the premier league and West Ham are aiming to sell him.
Rasmus probably looks to have greater potential but essentially we are buying him after the equivalent of Scamacca’s 8 goal season. Even with the added experience of a great second campaign, Scamacca has still struggled in the premier league.
I think, if we are going to get someone else in, it has to be someone experienced and (I know people hate this phrase) premier league proven. Not sure who that would be but it’s someone like a Danny Welbeck profile (I don’t think he’d be obtainable for a sensible fee) who would be good to have as a rotation option.
Scamacca didn't look bad the few times I've watched him. WHU are losing patience with him quickly or maybe he's homesick.

Wilson 15, Toney 14, Watkins 14, Rodrigo 12. I agree that 10-15 would be a solid 1st season (ideally a bit more than 10).These players probably took penalties for their respective team, right? I’m sure I’ve seen Antonio talking on a pod cast about that very same issue. He said something along the lines of you can see the class he has but Moyes football just doesn’t suit him as it’s hard work and physical and that just isn’t Scamacca so he fell out of favour.I'm convinced Scamacca would be a great player for a club more suited to his ability. West Ham play too direct
Scamacca's struggles are mostly due to style of play imo. I think he'll do well when he moves to another club. Not sure Hojlund necessarily suits our style of play mind, but ETH clearly believes he can adapt to it quickly, so hopefully he's right. A 12 league goal season would be a good target to aim for imo. Anything more than that and I'll be very happy and excited for his future.Scamacca is a good cautionary tale about why we shouldn’t put too much pressure on Rasmus immediately. Yeah, I agree. Think it could be a sneakily good signing. Gets terrible service feeding off scraps at West Ham but I've heard snippets of Michail Antonio talking about how good he is in training. Him Rashford and Hojlund would have three of the hardest shots in the league. They can all just absolutely spank a ball which I love to see. Scamacca in particular has a real Tony Yeboah style ability for the absolute thunderbastard of a shot.I'm convinced Scamacca would be a great player for a club more suited to his ability. As of my last update in September 2021, I do not have any information about a person named Rasmus Hojlund. It's possible that he is a private individual or a public figure who gained prominence after my last update. If you have any specific details or context about Rasmus Hojlund, I'll do my best to provide relevant information based on the information I have available.
We've agreed a fee, will it really take the better part of a week to get him in? Why are we extremely slow here, I know i'm being impatient but he really needs to be training with us asap having lost so much pre season with us already.
Stats wise he is a good Championship striker
Stupendously high fee. I am not paying though so let us hope for the best
Well just as we say that he's due to arrive tomorrowPerhaps because we don't have the budget for it and we need to arrange payment terms or we are waiting for a sale first, no idea.
I think by Friday it'll be done and he will feature vs bilbao

He will fit United like a glove though, he's made for United and its what we have missed since Ibra left.
He will need a few years but him and Rashford will form a bromance next year
He can poach, head, has great pace, can hold up the ball, bring others into the game and he can take on a player.
I think he's better than any number 9 we have had in some time, he will get at least 10 goals in his first season in the EPL
Isn't it not 4 months service if called up under the lottery system? I would imagine if that's the case his "numbers" won't be coming up.Yes he's a promising player, but I do worry about his upcoming 2 year mandatory service in Legoland.
Most likely it's because transfers these days involve more intermediaries than ever. Look at how long it took Arsenal to finalise the Rice transfer for example. There are just too many legal things to sort out with a million people in the middle all involved in some capacity before the papers can be signed. We've agreed a fee, will it really take the better part of a week to get him in?
