You have to look at the total cost during the contract, and Kane’s wages would be massivly higher
Same. PL is step up, if he scores around 8-12 goals in his first season it is fine. He brings more than just goals.
If the lad is decent, has a good attitude, and can stay fit, then with the state of strikers in the modern game he'll be worth every penny of £60m. He could be with us for 10 years+ and at this point any reliable striker option who isn't an absolute donkey / appalling prick has got to be valuable to us, even if he never makes the grade as our long term first choice.
I'm not sure what to think... on the one hand you have the caf experts who worry that their friends who support rival clubs will banter with them on Whatsapp if we pay 60 million and he doesn't score loads, and on the other, you have the best manager we've had since Ferguson retired who thinks this lad is the one he needs and presumably an analytics team who have done a proper check of the data and agreed.

Kane would cost £120m minimum, with an astronomical salary. Plus he has no resale value either.
We have freed up a lot of wages in the past year. Ronaldo, Cavani, DDG. The're would be wage budget and Kane makes us title contenders. I'm just not convinced by Hojlund, especially not for a huge fee.

I see his situation similar to Osimhen when he moved from Lille. Hojlund's qualities and potential are obvious to me but the risk are also obvious especially at kind of fee. But I don't think that I prefer to wait for someone else or that it is smarter because the striker market lacks safe options and has lacked them for while.
He and Amrabat turning down PSG and Liverpool is so refreshing. Sure they're not world beaters, but it'll be really nice to continue to add players with that hunger to play for United.
What's the source for that? It's a straight choice between sell now and lose for free next summer. We can negotiate with Kane from January.

I think this lad is going to be special. He looks the real deal. Has much more to his game than a tap in merchant. He can hold the ball up, take people on, drive at defenders, drift out wide, play others in. Can shoot with his left or right and he is great in the air. He has that strikers instinct and anticipation in the six yard box. 20 years old, so lots of energy and hunger. Ten Hag and Benny McCarthy will make him better.

All i have seen from Højlund is a young guy mad with football and a nose for goal. My only worry when the rumours came out about this transfer is lack of minutes, but it seems Ten Hag wants him as the main man, so i'm all for this transfer.
