Or season-long loan to Atalanta...20 year old young striker also left footed, this must mean he who must not be named isn't returning.

Wout scored in WC, in quarters, under pressure, against Argentina, twice...Wout! At least he didn't cost that much. It's 55m for one of the best striker prospects in Europe who has 5 goals in 2 starts for the national team and has had a very good season for Atalanta and has progressed very quickly. 8 goals sure, but he's also shown to be a almost 1 in 2 striker already, which is excellent at his age, and similar to Evan Ferguson. Hojlund has shown much more in his general play at this point in his career as well for example. In terms of the next up and coming top strikers, you have Ferguson, Hojlund and Sesko. Hojlund is the most proven of them.
Between him and sesko who would you say is and would be the better player or striker ?I first noticed him earlier this season while watching Sesko for RB Salzburg. Thought he looked talented but maybe lacked a bit of a killer mentality in front of goal but I've been sold on him since watching him for Denmark against Finland.
Kolo Muani saying he could stay is not the same as saying he is staying
There isn't much difference in Hojlund and Ramos except Ramos has scored more goals?
Vlahovic I personally don't rate either and would rather Rasmus
And for Lautaro, nobody has said anything about Inter not selling so we don't know.
My point is you said there's no other striker available asides Kane when reports have literally listed all the above as players on our shortlist. They are also the most established strikers on the market which Ten Hag is looking for. I'm honestly not convinced by any of them especially for the prices being quoted and the same goes for Hojlund
This is fallible logic on the face of it as when a player comes in from a league with a lower level of competition you by definition cannot know how he'll do in the Premier League. It's also 100% not how transfers work. If a player on a multiple year contract takes a season to acclimate and produces for the remainder of the contract and beyond, how can he not be worth the money spent?I never get this 'ease him in...can't be a starter' lark.
FFS! If we're going to pay £50m for him then he's good enough to start, end off.
If he isn't, then don't touch him with a barge pole. Football is what these people do, if they can't do it for £50m hitting the floor running then what the hell are we doing?? We might as well keep the cash and just buy pub players to 'ease them in'.
If you're good enough, you're old enough, simple as that.
Again you're suggesting Ramos isn't better than Hojlund . I'd like to know what you're basing this on.For Kolo Muani, I literally used the words "could stay". So outside of repeating what I said I don't see your point.
Ramos has one good season under his belt in a worse league than Serie A and he is quoted for twice the price. There is as much uncertainty regarding Ramos than there is regarding Hojlund but the quoted prices aren't the same.
And I asked you if Inter were sellers because I don't know, I thought that maybe you read something but apparently not.
I also didn't tell you that no other strikers were available, I said that outside of Kane there is no interesting striker, it's Kane or the best prospect possible.
Again you're suggesting Ramos isn't better than Hojlund . I'd like to know what you're basing this on.
And you don't know if Inter are sellers? Have they just been using the same players for the past 10 years?
55m for a prospect with 8 goals given our needs and not having unlimited funds seems pretty wasteful
We're the team in urgent need of a striker, not Dortmund.Just sign him and loan him out to Dortmund for a few years so he can develop.
Have you seen the budget? Who the new owners are? What you’re stating is pure conjecture.I don’t think we’ll have the budget to get this guy and another striker, so we’ve got to decide whether we think he’s good enough now. Him doing a job for a season then us picking up Kane on a free would be the dream scenario. It’s a huge risk though.
Cool. Then we are left with Martial and...Just sign him and loan him out to Dortmund for a few years so he can develop.
Aye but who cares? That’s the fun of being an appallingly run clubMy worry with this is we won't actually make a move for Ferguson at some point because we will think "we have Hojlund so there's no need".
Ferguson is the more sure hit for me.
I’m giving my opinion like everyone else does on the forum, hence the word ‘think’. We’ve got about 5 positions that need upgrading I just can’t see us signing two strikers. Plus the owner situation is irrelevant we’re still restricted by FFP even if Qatar buy us.Have you seen the budget? Who the new owners are? What you’re stating is pure conjecture.
You might be right but add Neymar and Rashford can also play 9 gives you multiple goal threatsThuram and him might be a little bit too inexperienced for this summer is my worry
Don't know about the source but that price is too much for a back up striker
Just sign him and loan him out to Dortmund for a few years so he can develop.
What? £19M + £18M in add ons?I've said it before, look at what we paid for an unproven Amad, they're not going to bend over just because he wants the move. Our transfer team don't know how to negotiate.
For a punt on an unproven player, very risky deal. What? £19M + £18M in add ons?
Quite a good deal if you ask me
£19M is a great dealFor a punt on an unproven player, very risky deal.
What have you seen from Ferguson in comparison to Hojlund to make you think that?My worry with this is we won't actually make a move for Ferguson at some point because we will think "we have Hojlund so there's no need".
Ferguson is the more sure hit for me.
It’s natural that because, and odds are, they’ve seen Ferguson more so than Hojlund, that they’d think Ferguson is the better buy. What have you seen from Ferguson in comparison to Hojlund to make you think that?
This is done.
I was hoping for some genuine insight, but thought as much. It’s natural that because, and odds are, they’ve seen Ferguson more so than Hojlund, that they’d think Ferguson is the better buy.
All players are risky when buying them, getting Kane would be a risk he doesn’t fit into the team. Amad was a shrewd purchase, good resale value if it didn’t work out so wouldn’t lose money. Same with Rasmus as well, think 55m is too much, although we paid big money for Antony so all clubs are going to hold strong to maximise the fee.For a punt on an unproven player, very risky deal.
It wasn’t a good dealWhat? £19M + £18M in add ons?
Quite a good deal if you ask me
He turns out to be a good player then it’s a great deal. He turns out to be useless for us then it’s a bad deal.It wasn’t a good deal
£19M is a great deal
A player who 2 years later in on loan in the championship shouldn’t have cost 19m + 18He turns out to be a good player then it’s a great deal. He turns out to be useless for us then it’s a bad deal.
Not sure how we can say either way until he’s moved on or starts performing. Good signs in the Championship but a long way to go at the top level.
