He would have to make quite the impression for them to pay the 40M in 6 months.
 
Seems like a good deal to me but for sure makes me sad. The feeling I had when I thought Greenwood, Sancho, and Rashford coud lead the line for United and be a huge part of England feels like eons ago. My 18 year old son, was SAD too, even though he had the same feelings as most on here.

Onward and upward, I'm just all in for Amorim and will support him until as long as he can survive here.

Disappointing announcement. I was hoping to see Rashford appear inside a huge bubble floating down onto the field from a helicopter or something.

He looks completely different, it’s weird. At the risk of getting called a Rashford sympathiser, I genuinely think he might be going through some shit. I wonder if one day something will come out.

That SamC guy tweeting out Rashford signing contract with Villa as "Worldwide Exclusive" pretty much confirms to me that Rashford was behind the team leaks as that account was well known for team leaks in FPL circles for some time.

And Athletic has documented pretty well last season when he went on a night out drinking in Belfast and then calling in sick next day and didn't report for training.

We've all seen how he behaved on the pitch for a long time. Not to mention Andy Mitten recently mentioning that all United managers had issues with Rashford's attitude. He failed himself first and foremost with all his antics and then all the fans who've always backed him even when he was ambling about not giving a single feck.

Shouldn't matter because the manager deemed him not good enough for what we need. If he fits the needs of another team, then so be it.
If he gives his all for Villa, cool. It means we get to shop for someone else that can come in and do a job.

Honestly hope he does well so he can be bought. We could do with a sizeable reduction in the wages
 
Well this is definitely something that I wouldn't have predicted at the start of the season. Will be really annoying if he suddenly does decide to pull his head out of his arse and put effort in now.

It won’t really be annoying for me - hope he does that and we sell him permanently in the summer. Don’t want him back stinking the place up again

You can tell when Rashford is in form he takes care of himself.

Look at old photos for when he was in form he has neat trimmed hair and he has a more muscular build.

When he's not on form he looks like he just got out of bed, scruffy hair and on the pitch he just doesn't care.

I wish Marcus all of the best of course, he's given us some great moments but its clear he isn't the one to take us forward. We knew Martial and Marcus weren't up to standard 6 years ago.

This is interesting. I can't say it's something I've noticed particularly but now that I read it, I think you're right.

When I think to his best moments and think about goal celebrations he did look clean shaven, fresh haircut and more well rested.
 
Fair play to the lad for dispelling the rumours that he's got a drinking problem by turning up to his photoshoot looking like he has been in a punch up and hasn't slept in a week.

I remember when ten Hag dropped him and there were rumours about him going to PSG later that day. That made me think it was from his agent and that he was involved in the other leaks as well. That's when I lost most faith in him.

One thing is suspecting it, the other is actually claiming it. This just feels tabloid without any evidence.

I’ve wanted him out for ages, but I just find all these accusations a bit wild, compared to what actual evidence we have. He’s on a huge wage, but come on, the difference in a picture of a guy who’s gone from 18 to 27? there’ll always be a difference. Anyone looking at their own mirror image after just waking up in the morning can tell you look different from time to time just during one day. For all we know he could’ve just aged or gone a bit more chubby while not playing.

Which is again why I hate how much more leeway academy products get from fans. If a player is disrespecting the club/his team constantly he shouldn’t keep getting the benefit of the doubt just because he kicked a ball at Carrington growing up. There are players we’ve bought from the other side of the world that honored and respected the club/badge/privilege to play at United more than our “local lad” ever did, yet our fans just lapped up every excuse under the sun and EVEN NOW there’s a decent contingent of fans that just think the club failed Rashford and none of its his fault.

I know academy and youth is in our DNA, and I love that aspect of the club just as much as the winning culture we have. Just rubs me the wrong way when I see “academy products” abuse the automatic pedestal that so many fans put them on from the time they make their debut.
