Rashford out partying at nightclub hours before reporting as too ill to attend training

She is on camera giving the details of the night and what he said, you think his PR team woudnt be having a word if she was lying?
Probably cause they know its bullshit and there's no point giving any further attention to it after the issue has been resolved with the club?

I still hope he plays well in whatever remaining matches we have this season and then we get rid in the summer but I won't be trusting whatever she says. Looks more like her 5minutes of fame and nothing else.

Did PSG see the fact that he went out on the piss until 3am causing him to be so hungover he missed training and the next game, and thought “yeah we fancy some of that.” Some of you guys believe anything.

Rashford is a quality player when his head is in the right space, he has huge marketability, and has a history of big moments. He might be at a point where we need to move him on and he has to move on, but that doesn't mean he isn't good enough for big clubs. He would probably be fantastic for PSG and tear up that league, and is the same type of player as Mbappe (not as good, but nobody is).

PSG will probably look at how Kane is playing for Bayern and think they could emulate that with Rashford (based on last season's form obviously).

They want someone marketable and high profile to replace Mbappe and there's not many options really. Salah is too old. They wont be able to attract Vinicius Jr.

If not Rashford they'd probably have to look at someone like Mitoma, Martinelli or Isak. Who are nowhere near as marketable right now.

So you will just believe whatever some random bartender says? Even going as far as trusting her words on judging Rashford? I want him out as much as anyone but as far as I'm concerned shes just paid to spout some nonsense and wouldn't pay much attention to any of it.
I trust her account, I understand that it's not lawfully binding though.

I would how much we could get from Rashford?

I mean we all know he is inconsistent, and was kind of shite this season. But he is also capable of scoring good amount of goals and performing like a top player when he is on form, like he did last season and some years ago.

70m should be fair price?

If PSG do come in for rashford for 80-100m, I think we should sell.

But then we have no attack assuming Antony and Sancho are also sold. Bringing in ANY player would cost us a fortune cz united tax.

I mean they clearly are. They are technically superior and have far better decison making. Rashford at his absolute best is a player brightening up in moments with some sheer brilliance, but his work rate, general build up play and interchange in tight areas has always been lacking.

Rashford is a player who needs to thrive with acres of space to attack, and even then you need his mindset to be confident. The other named players are clever in tighter spaces, technically more polished and generally a lot more consistent.

Mitoma is the same age as Rashford and never ever came close to having a season in the Prem like Rashford's 19/20, 20/21 or 22/23 seasons. He's actually such a similar profile and similar level to Garnacho, he would be a much better comparison. Rashford is way better. You literally listed probably the only two aspects where Mitoma has a case for being better than him: tight spaces and decision making, but even then, it doesn't make him a better footballer. You just have to watch both players to see how big of a threat Rashford is, mostly due to his pace and physicality, compared to the Japanese. Mitoma is also definitely a much worse ball striker.

Bowen is a really good player who could play for a top 4 team, but I can't realistically put him above Rashford either.

I agree with you, though, that Rashford's decision making can be fecking appalling at times and it's been frustrating United supporters for years.

£80m due to his profile. Add on another £20m because of his long contract.

Enjoy Nice Brest in France, Marcus

What on earth are you on about?

Missing a drug test resulting in an 8 month ban, cheating on his dying wife, being proud of himself for not following Moyes' instructions and being one of the biggest underminers in the dressing room after SAF left, becoming best friends with a piece of shit scammer like Howson, and giving him a platform, etc. etc.

He's so fecking tone deaf and every now and then he goes on some rant about morality and doing the right thing

He cheated on his dying wife?

Do we think he will be getting boo'd the next home game?
He was booed in his last home game. The fans gave him shit when he gave up tracking Porro and he left Wan Bissaka up shits creek 1v2, and this was after he scored.

Local lad and the charity work will only paper over so many cracks. Fans are sick of him not trying.

I did not know about him cheating on his dying wife, that is fecked up mate.

And yes Howson is a piece of shit. Was funny too see him with a black eye on one of the last vids:lol:

But still you can have a winning mentality and be a piece of shit, look at Giggs for example.

Rashford is mugging you fan boys off. He doesn’t care about the club or fans anymore. What’s he done recently: liked the Sancho tweet, being late, not giving a flying feck in the pitch, and now this. Cut the prick loose - based on this season we can afford to replace him easily.

Loyalty goes both ways mate, if he cannot put a shift in for 350k a week and for his boyhood cluub he can feck off basicly.

Sounds exactly like you are condoning Rashfords transgression. They had a week off the week before, he could’ve drank Belfast dry that week if he wanted, but his off field decision making is just as bad as his on field.
The thing with selectively only quoting part of a comment is that you present it out of context, either this is your intention :nono: or you simply do not understand the comment as a whole and have got fixated on one part!

The actual points I was making was:
Everyone is acting like they have the facts when in actuality they have press gossip, and
My over-riding concern is not Rashford (most players are immature, over-entitled d'heads, and lets face it he would be instantly forgiven if he scores a hattrick next game!), the issue is ETH and another example of his lack of authority and man management

Selling Sancho, Antony, Martial and Rashford, replacing them with Nico Williams, Olise, Taremi (free) to add to Garnacho, Amad and Hojlund.

His age isn't a factor for me because players hit peaks at different times. Mitoma just recently broke into the Premier Leauge. Rashford's best season is still where he has massive flaws in his game, and the team needs to be almost a counter attacking unit to maximize his impact. I don't think Rashford suits possession orientated sides which we are looking to eventually tilt toward.

Mitoma is actually superior to Rashford technically, in decision making, he's a better dribbler and he's better at his interchanges. Rashford is more explosive than both, Bowen and Mitoma, but the latter two are just more polished footballers which make the team look greater than the sum of its parts.

You can't actually print lies about someone. If it wasn't true he could take her and the paper to court and claim they damaged his reputation. He won't do that or even comment which tells us all we need to know.

Agree. Not only that, but Marcus shouldn't in the squad v Wolves, either.

Not only Narcus, but Marcus as well! A two game suspension, plus a fine on top of forfeited wages, seems about right to me. His head is clearly fukked and he needs a shoulder around his arm as much as he does a kick up his ass, but he does need a kick up his ass.

Of course he was a winner on the pitch. I just don't think he's in a position where he can give Rashford a moral lecture for going to a nightclub 3 days before a match.

I think he would personally benefit from a change. Something is toxic for a while between him and United.

Maybe a change will motivate him to knuckle down again.

Should it happen? Absolutely. Best for both sides.

Will it happen? Absolutely not. This club doesn't have what it takes to sell its "Manc born and bred" mascot.
I still like Rashford, at his best he is a hell of a player, up there with the best, the issue is getting that out of him consistently, I do not think that happens under ETH.

Selling Rashford as a home grown player would do our FFP issues a world of good, if we didn't have Garnacho I would be less inclined, but in reality we could use the money far more than we need Rashford... just don't give it to ETH to spend!

INEOS/Ratcliffe will sanction it if PSG come in with a reasonable offer. If they're going to be as serious as they're claiming there'll be no room for sentimentality like that.

When I was a head chef I was responsible for an ever changing bunch of mostly degenerates, they'd occasionally get pulled into HR and usually sacked, it's par for the course in catering. However if it ever became too frequent it was myself getting pulled into HR, I think this is where we are as a club. The frequency suggests it's not just the occasional player, hopefully INEOS can identify the root cause of this culture, perhaps the cause is no longer at the club but the aftermath is. Imagine if the time and money we've invested in dealing with and sometimes rewarding wrong un's could have been used elsewhere.

We're making headlines for the wrong reasons again.

United with INEOS need to do more in terms of assessing players' character before committing to buying them or making them turn professional.

How would Fergie react to this? Definitely not the way the current administration swept it under the carpet.

I think he could use some therapy. This guy used to eat from feeding schemes growing up and now he's got all this money, that could mess somebody up a bit.

Rashford has often cited his own early experiences as motivation for his work to end child hunger. “I came from little,” he tweeted in November, while in his open letter he wrote: “Food banks and soup kitchens were not alien to us; I recall very clearly our visits … to collect our Christmas dinners every year.”

I think you should remember that you can't win a bloody football game without scoring goals and that scoring goals and winning matches for one of the most scrutinized teams in world football is not something any Tom, Dick, or Harry can do. So instead of sacking off our biggest match-winning asset, we should buy players to play alongside him to match or better his output and then sell him if he continues to hold the team back.
Biggest match winning asset

He's scored four goals and played sh!t.
