I’ve been a bit worried that he wants to try something new.
You probably missed the story Rashford shared about how ManUtd took care of him when he was kid and his mom had to worked several jobs. The tie is not easy to break in any chance.

He may, but he clearly loves the club, is thriving under ETH, a coach who loves him and is giving him the platform to become one of the best in the world. My bet would be on him signing a new contract and potentially one day captaining United.

H;e a local lad living th dream of playing for his team, much like Shearer did and that counts for a lot, as long as United don't try an stiff him (which I don't think they'll do) he's going nowhere, not sure about the captain bit, doesn't strike ms that kind of leader

Blimey, first time i saw this thread, and was stunned by the vote, then saw it closed months ago

Maybe it could be reopened, and see how far it swings in the other direction?

Edit: Or if it's possible, but not been done, is it a wind-up reminder to people who voted wrong?
Thank god that you are not our manager, as you are so easily won over. So he has had a few decent months, break out the balloons and forget how he just walked around the pitch the 2 years prior, shall we ? And let's be real, we all know the change is most likely down to 2 reasons, (1) he is scare shitless he be shown the door like that wanker male child ronnie was, as you can bet your last Euro he be walking around if ole or wreck em was still here and not ETH, (2) he wants a new higher paying contract as watching players up their game contract time is nothing new.

His fans no doubt will go on the offensive over the above, so let "Mr Utd" prove us all wrong, as he still has a year extension left on his contract so let's see how this season and the first 5 months of next season plays out and tell him we will sit next Jan and talk, and we see if his fans are right about him wanting to be here and does he accept that or bow down like he has to his agent, and we get the laughable press releases we saw last year when they first tried their bully boy tactics to force the clubs hand.

Overall this thread is just crap. Some of those who voted "right" are insufferable in their smugness and some see this as the ideal platform to regurgitate their irrational Rashford hatred. Put that on repeat. On repeat. On repeat.

*Says someone who voted to sell him

Man you should let it go. People can change their opinions.

I know it. I just think it's funny that almost everyone was so massively wrong on such a big thing. They deserve to be wound up surely...?

Deserves a new contract based on this season. I was (rightfully) pissed with his performances and non-chalant couldn't care less attitude to playing football for the previous 1-2 seasons but if he keeps doing what he's doing, a new contract is a no brainer and well deserved.

Yes he had those two seasons where he looked like he did not care but I believe he was carrying a couple of injuries. The problem was he was a favourite of Ole and as a manager he would pick him to play even with injuries.
Ole did this with others too and that got to him, if Ole had stayed Marcus would probably not be here now.

I wanted this guy sold at the start of the season. Egg all over my face. Would be devastated if he left.

Calm down, it's only one goal against Forest. Even Fred scored against them recently.

It's not just the amount of goals it's the quality of them

Could have a goal of a season competition all on his own

Ole played Rashford when he was injured and the damage followed into a 2nd season including the fact most of the players were not at it at all. Side note on Antony, can we all give him and ETH a free hit on this one. ETH has increased the value of this squad beyond 8O million so iin theory Antony is free so can we now get of his back and let the lad play.

Nah, I’ve enjoyed people making a fool of themselves over Rashford over the years. He could go down as one of our all-time greats, with a terrific off-the-field contribution too. A few people should be ashamed at the shit (and vitriol) they’ve written about Rashford.

Oh well, majority rules. Time to put him on ebay then until 31st of Jan. I'm guessing you guys want to sell high?

Local lad and academy graduate with a 100+ goals in United colors to his name at 25 yet he's not a 'true' United player and apparently wouldn't be in the team if he was foreign...

Even after years, the utter shite and tripe that you read on here sometimes is truly something to behold :wenger:

It's like certain 'fans' seemingly hate everything that makes United United...

My thoughts exactly. Imagine if these fools were in charge or the club? My god...

Too many Captain Hindsights in this thread.
The guy was shite for a season and a half, walking around, sulking, not contesting headers, with a seemingly non-existent will to win. We were all justified in wanting him gone. He was regularly stinking up the place with the added fact his social media beehive used to regularly come up with instant stories to defend him anytime he had a bad game (which was very frequent for 1.5 seasons).

He's been fire this season, better than any season here at United since his time with us. Deserves a new contract based on this season.

His recent form doesn’t change the fact that his attitude and form was whack for more than a year.

He’s still massively overpaid and unless we give him a heavily performance incentivised contract, you’ll never know if he starts to slip back to his impersonation of being a statue on the pitch.

That said, he’s still our biggest goal threat which really goes to show how dire we are up front.

Isn't he on 200k a week? That's definitely not being massively overpaid, relative to his peers.
