Rashford considering his future...

That counter when Ronaldo shot from a crazy angle. As soon as. Fred broke Rashford slumped his head down and started jogging. He just isn't right. Something is not right.

A bad game once again, zero threat on right/left. Won't be missed if he asks to leave tbh.

Would more than happily sell him for a good chunk of money in the summer and whilst the likes of Neville and everyone else can moan in the studios because he's homegrown he clearly just cannot be bothered anymore, an absolute waste of a player on the pitch

Soon as he saw Elanga warming up on the touch line, he completely downed tools and spent the next 5 or 10 minutes just walking around.

I thought he started the game off a lot better. Actually putting some work in, even if it wasn’t very effective.
At least it looked like he was trying…a bit!
But as the first half went on, he started slipping out of the game bit by bit, until he wasn’t being any help at all.

Frustrates the hell out of me as I get the impression he thinks he is elite level and is above having to do any work. I have no problem with a player playing badly so long as they are trying but this guy just doesn't even try.

Read the other day that Dan James has made more tackles for united this season than Rashford.

Absolutely.

The stories of him thinking of leaving are insane. He doesn't realise how good he has it here. No other top club would start him as often or pay him as much as we do.

Maybe he's planning a move to Newcastle to be with his mate Jesse, but given they will be able to spend serious money and attract serious talent I'm doubtful that they'd be overly keen on Rashford. Especially on current form (and by current, it's about 18 months or more now).

Had about 15 mins of looking like he was up for it and then nope, it's the same old rashford. No point starting him anymore.

Becoming lingard after hanging around with him a lot. What was Rashford doing on the same wing (sancho) and blocking his movement ? Why can he be bit intelligent and stay on the opposite side of sancho. Does he have footballing intelligence ?

today if u watch the Ronaldo counterattqck shot that Lloris saves .. he is no where to be seen.. Is he still injured ?

Bang on. I was screaming at the tv when CR7 was on the right looking at all the vacant space on the left waiting for Rashford to appear. In the end his only option was the shot. After the save, Rashford appears to have just crossed the halfway line. Whether it’s mental or physical he’s definitely not in a good place.

If it's true, who would be so dumb to splash the cash for him? Newcastle? Can we get at least 50 for him? If so, let's do this and spend the money on a attacker who's willing to work hard and fullfill his potential not this half arsed too soon washed out player who think who made it too soon.

Excellent game from Rashford. His movement off the ball freed up space for hattrick hero Ronaldo. Hopefully his season improves from here.

this is a massive part of the crossroads he is at, he can only play on the left. Might be a reason why they were switching wings, Ralph throwing him a line to build him up

This. If PSG want him, take as much money as we can and sell him. He would do well with social media influencers like Neymar over there.

He might learn how to speak French or he might speak English with a French accent like Joey Barton. :D

Andreas. Bailly. AWB. McTominay. Lukaku. The list is very long of worse players, those were just off the top of my head. Unless you've only been watching football this season, obviously.
This is honestly preposterous. Bailly makes Maguire look like the relegation centre back that he is.

None of those players were given anywhere near the amount of minutes Rashford has been given to find his form. The lad hasn't had a good game for over two years (club and country) - and hasn't developed his game whatsoever since he was 17.

He started okay. But 20 minutes in, he was back to doing the bare minimum. If it was a case of bad form it would be easier to tolerate but the lack of effort at times is really upsetting.

I really wish he’d go back to giving his all.The fans love him.

He has lost the mental side of the game. Social media and off the field achievements have ruined it for him. He thinks success off the field will translate on to the field but it hasn't and he is frustrated. He should go back to basics and focus.

Of course you rate Bailly highly.
Indeed, if you mean rating Bailly alongside me thinking Rashford is pretty average for about two years and being proven right, yes indeed I do.

Remember the last manager had to apologise for saying this

There was one point in the first half when he had the ball one on one vs hojberg on the right wing

And…….

He thought hojberg could catch him so he turned back and played it safe. I’m fecking faster than hojberg………

No idea why he started unless Ralph wanted to rest elanga for midweek.

If he wants to leave he is more than welcome but good luck finding anyone else paying you £200k a week sunshine

That was months ago. After his girlfriend left. Now he’s just pulling the piss. I think Rangnick has not indulged his every whim. Must be very hurtful

I like him both as a player and a person but he should take a deep look at himself and see if it's working out or not and if he has what it takes to turn it around, perhaps in the long shot it's to the benefit of both parties to part ways for his and ours sake.

Don’t take it personally, mate.

There is a myopic group on the Caf that believes that Ralf is the second coming of SAF. Everything that is wrong with our results and our performances is down to the players with zero accountability to the coaching staff and the management/board. Bizarre, I know.

I believe Rashford has some responsibility for his poor form, but getting the best out of players is also the responsibility of the coaching staff. You are absolutely right with Rashford’s track record. I he didn’t have any ability, we wouldn’t have seen him score 20+ goals two straight seasons. This thread is like flies to a cow pie for those who are frustrated with our record this season looking for somewhere to place blame other than management and coaching. Let me be clear, both the player and the coaches share some responsibility here.

No coaches made him stay around halfway line today, same thing happened few weeks back when he didn’t follow-up on that rebound. Him losing every time against a single marker.

Alternative take on Rashford current situation.
At the moment Rashford is totally out of form, his level isn't good enough, but so is Ronaldo, Ronaldo is possibly worst, yet he gets to start every game playing 90 mins.
Could this be demoralizing Rashford, seeing as the club he has given everything to would prefer 37 year old past it Ronaldo over him, is there any sporting benefit to persist with Ronaldo who is even more likely to walk away before Rashford and has less to offer medium to long term
sounds similar to when Zlatan came in and allegedly put Martial's nose out of joint, believe the prevailing view was Martial should man up and accept competition

Poor take imo. 37 year old Ronaldo still is miles above than what Rashford has to offer. He has also done more for the club in terms of helping it win trophies while he was in the same age bracket.

Its all about his poor attitude. If he thinks he deserves a spot than why not fight for it? Why does he think he has made a starting spot his own? So many of these young players act like spoilt brats these days that the moment things start getting tough, they drop their shoulders and hide behind their agents and PR teams.
