Raphinha | Barca player

Volume player struggling on a team where he doesn't get as many touches/is discouraged from just trying shit at every opportunity. What a shocker

And make the same mistake as Barca ? We spent 100m on Antony 3 months ago.

He was very good for the most part at Leeds, just was injured and got lost in the end game of Bielsaball disintegrating.

More consistent for Brazil than Vinicius in last 18 months aswell.

As kouroux said, his form currently is world class level, there's no real denying that. Looking at his form, it's definitely taken an up turn in the last year or so, if he maintains it then it would be hard to say he isn't.
 
Was shouting about signing him all summer. He's the one we needed ahead of Amad, while we let Garnacho and Rashford battle it out for left wing.
 
And he was completely overshadowed by Luis Enrique in Brazil's last games. They have been really unfortunate with their best players.
 
Did I only imagine that he and Antony were considered equals in the Brazil reckoning at one point? Around the last world cup. It's the one hope I'm clinging to that Antony will resemble a footballer some time.

Raphinha been incredible in this game.

Even Leeds raphina in the championship was leaps and bounds better than Antony.
 
Vinicius Jr. thoroughly deserves the Ballon D’Or… but THIS season Barca have the best Brazilian player.

9 goals and 8 assists so far for Raphinha.

There was, yeah. Plus Antony has got 3 whole years on Raphinha and can do that weird spinny thing, so there's still plenty of time for him to be become our club captain a bag CL hattricks against European heavyweights. Stranger things have.. okay, no, maybe they haven't..
 
His transformation this season is remarkable. I was aboard the Nico Williams train in the summer (would still hope we go in for him next) and thought Raphinha would be very useful as a back up/depth whilst giving some rest to Yamal, a squad player if you will but damn, Flick has unlocked something in this guy. Lamine gets all the plaudits and PoTM but Raphinha is on fire, probably our most important player.

Unfortunately it's another bad look for Xavi and his man management.

Yeah Xavi managed him pretty poorly. You could tell he didn’t have as much confidence when playing under Xavi. Flick has shown him he believes in him which has helped unlock this new level.

Was outstanding at the weekend playing in the number 10 role.
 
This Barca team is better to watch than the great Pep side as the football is way more exciting and varied. This team’s CB’s play the high line and go one to one against Mbappe etc. This team don’t dive like the Suarez/Busquests side. It is still great to see a touch team destroy an overly physical Real Madrid with the pace and movement on the break outstanding. If only Utd had a front 3 of such quality.

Not even close imo. And Suarez never played under Guardiola. The one touch fast and fluid football they played under Guardiola is light years ahead of anything this side can do. Then you had proper entertainers like Messi and Iniesta in there too. Barca never really became boring to watch until after Enrique, by the point they did become a sort of monotonous robotic side with a bit of Messi magic thrown in.

Raphinha never played in the championship. We signed him when we got promoted, sold him after he saved our season in 21/22.
