What are they on about?
Feeling salty that they paid more for Ben fecking White?
Of course we'll pay him 380k a week. He's played in 14 finals and won them all.
Does VM stand for virtual medical? Surely not
Read again my post.
I doubt anybody “external” knows the exact figures, but these are in line with what has been reported before and are probably not too far off.I am really amazed that he has seen the contract and can state exactly what Varane is earning. Because if Varane only made £300k a week - the total cost would be about the same as Pepe - which wouldn't have the story quite as good for him
BBC reporting £50mil with add ons so Real have still done well for a 28yo with one yr left on his contract.
He is a class player and I hope along with Maguire we get the solid combo we have been crying out for.
Assuming a 40% tax rate:
It was reported that we offered him €12m NET a year.
12m euros are around 10m GBP. 10m GBP NET a year are about 20m GBP gross.
Anyone on flight tracker?
Because he has a year left on his contract and doesn’t want to extend. SimpleIs he actually good? There's surely a reason Real Madrid are willing to let him go, is he an upgrade on what we have at present?
There is a fee owed to Lens because they developed Varane at their academy. On a transfer this size it will be a couple million. So they haggled over who would cover that amount. It’s just one of the more minor details that have to be negotiated.
I think it's mandated by FIFA.
As per FIFA rules, clubs are required to pay a small portion(s) of the transfer fee to the player's previous club(s) that were involved his education and development. From FIFA's Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players:
The mechanism:
Thanks.Yes, but only if we can get two midfielders. If we're only getting in a DM, I'd rather keep Pogba.
Have they factored in shirt sales? HAVE THEY FACTORED IN SHIRT SALES???Salary calculations have started

I certainly hope so. Soon reports about his salary will come to light and we'll know for sure.Yeah I meant gross, he'll be on probably 250k to 300k max, which is anything between about 10 and 15 mill gross, ain't no way he'll be on 400k pw gross
With the shirt sales from Varane and Sancho combined we’ll actually make a net profit from both transfers.Have they factored in shirt sales? HAVE THEY FACTORED IN SHIRT SALES???

Who’s on?These two Arsenal goons on Talkshite are clearly worried about this signing and resort to the Ole stuff
Back up to LindelöfIs he actually good? There's surely a reason Real Madrid are willing to let him go, is he an upgrade on what we have at present?

So what you're saying is Adidas paid us to sign these feckers? With the shirt sales from Varane and Sancho combined we’ll actually make a net profit from both transfers.
He's OK, knows a bit or 2 about playing football I guess. Is he actually good? There's surely a reason Real Madrid are willing to let him go, is he an upgrade on what we have at present?
I used some online calculator to get to the figures I wrote. It might be wrong. I'm not very familiar with UK salary taxes.Assuming a 40% tax rate:
€20m Gross = €12m Net.
£17m Gross = £10m Net.
£17m * 5 = £85m.
I doubt we are offering him that much anyway. It has to be €12m Gross.
