Not right, around 300K per week is what we are offering him and may be some signing bonus
You're missing the Spanish tax. They report in gross only so it's closer to £1m like Rado says

Pretty sure that's not correct and we'll find out when he signs

For 1m a week I'd rather not sign him.

All our top players will demand parity and then we're heading the way of the Barcelona school of finance management.

His pictures on his IG are literally flooded with ‘Come to United’ and ‘Welcome to Manchester United’ and nothing else

Nah I reckon it's closer to 60m euro's.

I'm going 55m euro's raising to 60m euro's with add-ons.
He has one year on his deal, is refusing to renew, will be demanding over 200k a week, is 28 years old, we’re the only bidder in town and Madrid have been hit by COVID like the rest of football. We’ll wait and see but I’d be absolutely flabbergasted if we bid anything close to 60m euros.

People thinking we’re going to be paying 1m a week need to give their heads a wobble

Not even Messi will be earning a million a week mate

I would love to say that I trust the Glazers' tight-arsed personalities enough to know this will never happen, but then you look around and see De Gea on 350k a week, Martial on 250k a week, Lingard on 100 k a week...and a niggling doubt starts to come over you

This isnt true, even in the slightest.

Which bit isn't true?

"Varane is currently on holiday and will make a decision once he is back and has spoken to Real. He does not want to go against the club’s wishes after so long in the Spanish capital and will wait to see how discussions between Real and United unfold. Once Varane has held talks with Real the Spanish club will decide whether they are prepared to let him go and how much he would cost. "

It's all down to whether Madrid want to cash in or keep.

That doesnt say he will stay if they pay him more. Since its common knowledge he has been seeking to leave for about 2/3 years. So he’ll likely either leave this summer for a fee, or leave next summer for free

It doesnt say its down to if Madrid ups his wages though.
The wages are almost incidental, they have to offer him money since he has 1 year left. Going by reports it seems to be an aside, he really wants a new challenge

Cavani, Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, Amad, Bruno, Pogba, Donny,
Varane (likely), New CDM, Maguire, AWB, Shaw, Fred (Brazilian first teamer) De Gea etc etc

Has there ever been such an exciting season to look forward since SAF. But could a World Cup in November come at a worse time for us, we’re likely to be the, if not one of the, clubs with most players across different national teams who get furthest in the World Cup and can see us get ravaged with injuries that derail our season… will be very annoying especially if before November we’re in top 1 or 2
This is not this season 21/22 season starts August 14th finishes end of May players holiday June - July 22 then restart 22/23 season early August break middle of November 22 then World Cup end of November to December 22 ( United pampered players playing football in air conditioned stadiums where the temp is 28-35 degrees Celsius) , rather than snow, ice, rain and wind in Uk, yeah this is going to really upset them all !

He does not want to go against the club’s wishes after so long in the Spanish capital"". Translation: he will stay if they pay.

What other meaning could it have?

Ok, I guess the Gaurdian knows best

That he won't force a move this summer, if they decide not to sell.

He can't force a move this summer. He is under contract. He's not going to sign a new one unless they pay. If they don't he leaves on a free. So it's still down to the accountants. Obviously Madrid want to keep him - it's purely a question of whether they will pay to do so. Sounds like they won't but who knows?

Hence respecting the club, not publically trying to force a move now or disrespect the club publically.
The context of the contractual situation and his wishes over that time is what you are missing.
This isn't even me saying he'll sign for United, I'm just saying he's been clear about wanting to leave for a new challenge for a couple of years.

He’s going back to empty out his locker and telling them personally he wants to leave. The tweet word for word said he’s going back to the training ground? Never did it say he’s going back for training?
