5 at the back confirmed?
Jones has just seen the bat signal and donning his cape now. We're all good all!
What ? Why Jones out of absolutely nowhere ?In all seriousness, Ole may have to go with Jones over Bailly. The concerns about Jones are all well-taken, but Bailly has hardly impressed over the last three years now...and I'm one of those who saw glimpses of greatness when Bailly joined United four or five seasons ago.

Playing Jones who hasn't had competitive football in ages over Bailly is a lot crazier than desperateDesperate times, desperate measures.
But if Bailly looks decent in training this week, of course we have to go with him -- and make all the appropriate sacrifices to the gods before the match. But the last few times we've seen him play for United, he's looked poor.
Based on what? There is something wrong with our medical team or with whatever we do in training ........
Based on Varane getting injured in a glorified friendly playing for his country.Based on what?

Whatever, every team get injuryes and we have a big squad. I dont want to hear injury excuses if we go on a bad run now from Ole.
No chance. Ready made excuse now. It's already started above.Varane was our beta performing defender by far.
With the run coming up and our current form this could get real ugly for us and Ole
Damn straight! What players you have in the squad is irrelevant!
our backup defensive players are better or on par with Pools, Citys and Chelsea`s
Bailly and Lindelof are better than Citys CBs? That is certainly an opinion

What are you on about?
Sure but it happens to every team, and a couple weeks is not that bad. Maguire could be back vs Leicester as well. Almost every team we met up to this point has had their best player out as well. So i dont want to hear another excuse from Solskjaer.I misread your post, sorry about that.
I'm not sure how anyone can make an argument that playing Lindelöf and Bailly going forward is not a problem however.
I am curious. What other excuses have Ole given so far?Sure but it happens to every team, and a couple weeks is not that bad. Maguire could be back vs Leicester as well. Don't know what player you have been watching but Bailly is just an awful defender. He strikes fear into the heart of every defender he plays with. Jones is a very decent CB when he is available.Nah, Bailly is twice the defender Jones is, even with the hair brained moments.
Lots of responsibility on Lindelof's shoulders this next few weeks.

VAR and the early saturday fixtures for exampleI am curious. What other excuses have Ole given so far?
