Sorry, Didnt mean to. I was slammed just for mentioning this way before. People took one game so seriously and started blasting him after LC match. So I will happily take one game and give it back - pay back time.

Their results have by large been really good since that game, think they've only lost 2 games which is no mean feat considering the mental trauma they went through that night.
Add in all their wins they should've also won at Arsenal and were very close to getting a 1-1 at Man. City so very good period that has pushed them back into the mid table pack.
Won at Chelsea without Danny Ings starting aswell.

Yes after that game they really stood up and delivered. But I still think losing 9-0 at home would get almost anyone sacked. So it’s still a surprised the next morning he wasn’t gone
Well Lambert survived at our place after losing 8 nil at Chelsea a further two seasons and Robbie Martinez lost 9-1 at Spurs and was at Wigan for years afterwards so it's not always a given.
The response is always important and gives better context whether manager has lost the squad or not. Extreme example but after you lost 6-1 to Man. City I think you won 7 of your next 8 in the league. Anyone can get thrashed in a game in a season.
Didn't expect Southampton to bounce back like they have done after the 0-9 result. They've escaped relegation by the skin of the teeth the past few seasons, they'll probably do it again.
Credit to the Southampton hierarchy keeping their nerve after the drubbing at the hands of Leicester. Hassenhutl has shown commendable backbone to come back from that mauling and their the ship in the right direction. Ings is having the best season of his career and a the lack of a consistent goalscorer is usually one of the Achilles heels of struggling sides. Defensively they have missed Van Dijk. If he can sign a commanding centre back then he has the makings of a mid table side possibly edging towards the top 8.
Think they need more in central midfield. Ward Prowse is alright but only excellent on set pieces. Romeu and Hjoberg are steady defensive minded players but again lack pace and excitement in that area compared to that area five years back when Schnderlein and Wanyama was a very strong duo.
Southampton trusted him, and they seem to be reaping the rewards. They are just six points behind us in 5th now and he seems to have steadied the ship now.

They could have easily collapsed after that Leiceste defeat, but fair play to them they've done a great job of turning it around.

5 league wins in 11 league games since 9-0 happened. Even better when you think they've played Man. City, Arsenal, Chelsea away and Spurs at home in that period. 7 points from those four games.

Think he'd have suited Spurs as Poch's successor. This guy is criminally underrated. One of those few managers that is able to get the very best out of his players as a collective. I personally have always rated him very highly and I think he could be on Conte level if given a chance to manage a top tier team (or at least given the funds).
Really good result for the saints yesterday, apparently during the warm up Leicester showed their 9-0 win on the big screens, very arrogant if you ask me. Thankfully it backfired.

Pretty much every ground I've been too pick out the best games against the visiting opponents on the big screen, yesterday Chelsea for example played back all the wins vs Burnley in the PL era.
That 9-0 will probably be on loop everytime Saints visit the KP for the foreseeable.

Sincerely hope this guy is also in our shortlist. We missed the boat when Poch was about to make the step up . We shouldn't do the same mistake again.

People who wanted Klopp, this is the guy who was termed as second coming of Klopp (like Tuchel). He just hasn't got the opportunity to prove his ability with a top side.

I wonder will the turn around under Hassenhutl make other chairman sit and re-evaluate the default setting of sacking a manager after a run of bad results. Credit to Hughes he saw the potential in Danny Ings. Don't know enough about the signings Hassenhutl made to judge. But he certainly has picked things up since the drubbing at the hands of Leicester at home. Delighted to see Southampton win at the KP stadium. Not just for Liverpool but for a sense of pride for Hassnehutl.
