Thanks for this.

On the one hand, you can argue the delay is unavoidable. On the other hand, you can argue we could have got this sorted without disrupting our season had Rangnick come in immediately after we lost to City.

Yeah that's exactly when it should have been done, however can't go back now so just gotta wait for it all to get resolved

As this is coming from Christian Fraud I think we can safely say it’s a load of bollocks.
Agree with the sentiment but we have form for buying Chelsea rejects/unwanteds and he was the first to break the Werner to Chelsea story, so this might be one of those stories which helps him keep his credibility.

Because Daniel James hasn't had 34 goal and 19 goal back-to-back seasons (Prior to joining Chelsea). Comparing Werner to James is daft.
It’s not as daft as you think. Werner is painfully shite, and it was always obvious he’d struggle at Chelsea. He’s nowhere near the technical level to play for a top side.

I’m picturing the episode of the Simpsons where Mr Burns shows the inspectors round the power plant.

“Hmm… gum used to seal crack in cooling tower…”

(Sorry Harry, Luke and Aaron)

On the other hand, you could say the Glazers are putting in charge a guy who hasn't managed in the last 5 years.

Leipzig are a top side who play good football.
They are an okay side akin to an Everton anc absolute million miles away from a club like Utd. Not saying they don’t play good football but that’s the very reason not to overrate their individual players. The system protects many of their weaknesses. If the same can be done of these Utd players we have a ceiling way above them.

When was the last time Everton got to the Champions league semi final?

Leipzig are a Champions League team, Everton are a lower/mid-table side.

Mate they play in the bundesliga, if Everton played in that league they’d be a champions league team too. It’s the worst standard of defending in any of the top divisions.

It generally probably suits us more for him to come in and be in charge for the Norwich game which is the 11th. You don’t want your new man coming in to a fixture like Arsenal. Palace haven’t looked like mugs either. You g boys are in there somewhere but the fixture list from the 11th onward looks alright.

We're gonna get linked with every former Rangnick and Leipzig player now.
Hope we don’t sign any. When we played them last year I remember thinking just how shite those players really were. Some fantastic coaching though at that club so credit for that! Hopefully Rangnick brings that with him

Are you allergic to goals? You’d take Werner but you’ve have Ronaldo on the next plane out, only on red cafe!
Ronaldo is 36 and cant work as hard as is needed potentially. I'd rather have a cohesive pressing side than pander to individuals who won't be here in 18 months.

Ronaldo could be 46 but he’d still be twice the player Werner is. Man couldn’t score in a brothel!

Ask yourself why Chelsea look like an elite team with elite coaching and Werner still looks crap? It’s because it was clear even for Leipzig that he didn’t have the technical ability of finishing to play for a top side. I called it before he moved and have continued to watch everyone scrabble for excuses for two seasons now!

While I agree, I would target someone that has a better technique. I would like a player with a profile close to Firmino particularly when we have Rashford and Greenwood potentially flanking him. We should be after a goalscorer but someone glues the attack, ideally Martial would evolve into that kind of player but adding someone would be interesting.

Yeah, I would personally. I think he'd be brilliant in a Rangnick team.

Maybe, but Werner is just not that good. If Rangnick can bring Rashford on then why bother with Werner, who also is nowhere near as talented as Martial?

Chelsea doesn't at all play to Werner's strengths. Look at how Leipzig played and his goal returns for them. Also Germany.

He's a system player akin to how Sancho is.

Look I'm not suggesting Werner is the be-all and end-all. I simply stated I think he would be really good in a Rangnick side, as opposed to Tuchel's possession-based system which highlights his flaws rather than playing to his counter-attacking and work-rate strengths.

I absolutely stand by that. If we happened to sign him then I'd be on board with it because I understand the logic and it would make our team better.

I don’t think Sancho is a system player, he’s showing that now. All he needed was a period to adjust but he’s starting to really look the business now. It’s also clear from 5 minutes watching them that Sancho is operating with so much more talent than Werner.

It’s just been convenient excuse after convenient excuse for Werner. The fact is he plays In a top side that produces tonnes of chances in a very defined system, if he can’t work there h won’t work anywhere at that level. Anyway glad that rumour is boll*cks because I wouldn’t touch Werner with a 10 foot pole.

Good for you Agree to disagree.

I agreed with you on Werner, it's in the first sentence.

So even if the club knew about the FA clause what should they have done differently? Travelled back in time and told people how bad Brexit was going to feck them? Because I'm pretty sure those warnings were coming thick and fast during the campaign.

Appoint a different interim manager.

You seem certain of his visa approval.
well goody for you.

EDIT: You mentioning Brexit is irrelevant. But that point will go over your head.

If he doesn't get his permit by tomorrow we should pull the plug. Three games missed on a six month contract is not good

Steve Bruce or Mark Hughes would have ready last week
