Ralf Rangnick | ex-interim manager | does anyone rate him?

We're already showing some tactical improvements and that's in just a few days with a couple of rookies in control. It's not going to be a quick fix but the levels of misery on here is so boring.
There's no improvement, we were played off the park. Burnley would have served thesame thing.

Did we? What did Chelsea create?

Chelsea created 13 chances to our 1, we got a lucky break which we capitalized on but we were struggling for long periods of that game to gain any semblance of control.

Standards in our fanbase have fallen so low, that even poor performances are being justified. A point away at Stamford Bridge is always good, but our performance wasn't and hasn't been up to the mark for few months now. Hence, a big job on his hand.

We must've watched a different match.

Chelsea were completely dominant in the game. Please don’t this to yourself, don’t kid on we were a match for them in general play because we weren’t. This will be shown in time when Rangnick has us looking miles above what we showed today.
What did they create though? You can talk around it all you want but we played 3 DMs to keep it tight and open up as the game went on. Which we did. The game panning out like that with a Chelsea creating feck all isn’t riding luck, it’s what we intended.

13 chances but how many were proper chances and how many were nothing shots from outside the box?
All I’m asking is where were we lucky.

We have got 2 good results but there really isn't any improvement in performances. Today could have easily ended 4-0.

I wouldn't expect big improvements from a caretaker who is a total novice though in a few days?

We could have easily won today, so could they. We we were wasteful, as were they, both goals were total gifts. Sloppy shite all round.

Easily won today?  I genuinely lost for words but glad someone is watching this through massive positivity lenses.

Has a huge mess to sort out. Thanks Ole. Hope he will and I hope the time given to him will be enough.
Personally thought we were worse than when Ole was here.

Maybe more blame to the coaches wouldn't go amiss.

We wasted some good chances and their goal was a gift. How can people still want to be so miserable after the years of slop we've watched? Isn't it tiring being so negative.

I think games like this are a good sign, I do not think a lot of our players are as scared of hard work as people seem to think. We just need that hard work to be properly organized.

A chance is a chance, I CBA to debate semantics with you. They created enough chances to win, hence an xG of 2.84 vs 0.82 of ours.

We got lucky because a bad Jorginho touch allowed us to score. The only other chance which we had in that game, came off Mendys' mistake near the end. We've seen this shite under previous manager, where performances haven't been up to the mark, only to be shoved results down our throats.

Realistic not negative, unfortunately.

You said we are showing tactical improvements, not me. I don't expect anything from a caretaker like Carrick. To me we are not showing anything, just somehow managed to get good results which is a common theme during Ole's reign here too.

We could have easily won today? They could have easily won 4-0 if not for their extremely wasteful finishing. They created plenty, we created feck all. Anyway, good result, let's agree to disagree.

I hope you don't believe sitting in defence for 89 minutes is a tactical improvement, it's pathetic.

Seriously can they hurry the feck up.
We need more proper training sessions from the get go, asap !

Ralf SOS !

We're being managed by Michael Carrick! Can people just have some perspective. We're in a mess, that was a good result all things considered.
Good result all things considered, I agree. However, that doesn’t change our current level, which is very low.

Lot of them actually. Rudiger , Hudson Odoi , Werner , RLC all should have scored. Clear goal scoring chances.

We should have scored 2 for sure. It's not any battering but it was comfortable for them.

It's a disgustingly low level, has been for years. Things can hopefully only get better from here, it would just be a nice change to see some more positivity on here.

That is not what being played off the park looks like, and as Utd fans we know what that looks like, we've seen it in most games this season.

The way we played the game was worse than Tony Pulis Stoke and Big Sam Bolton. We were just lucky to get the goal.

It's criminal Ole spent 400mil and coached no style of play at all and the board let it happen for 3 years.

The board finally wake up and bring Rangnick in to modernize the club.

Rangnick has his work cut out to undo the damage Solskjaer and his staff have done to our team. We have a squad of (mostly) very good footballers who have been hamstrung by amateur coaching.

Its going to take a lot of time and hard work to improve things that's for sure. But hey at least we have some hope now, that's more than what we had a couple weeks ago!

It's still better than the suicide mission against Liverpool for example. Surely United is at rock bottom at the moment, but this is something to work on. A lot of work is needed obviously, but there is something to work with now. Did not look that way against Liverpool for me.

We were second best today. But we need to show consistent fight over the next few weeks to turn things around.

Losing 4-1 to Watford is a low that you can’t just turn around and play too class football from.

It’s little by little and there’s a big improvement needed, but we’ve looked more solid. Which is hardly hard to do but two big results for us this week means we can look forwards.

We did, apart from the score, Chelsea absolutely dominated us. Very, very poor performance.

No they didn't. They created absolutely nothing. De Gea could have had a smoothie in his hands in the second half. If you want to look at domination, rewatch Liverpool, Chelsea and the home game vs Villareal.

I don't think people are upset at a draw. The performance was pitiful though. We played like a 2nd division side, and looked about as good as a 2nd division side.

I can see Hudson Odoi but not the rest. It’s like saying Chelsea were lucky Fred didn’t score. Nope, that’s just Fred. Odds are he would have missed. Nobody can say we are unlucky that a CB didn’t score by putting his foot through a volley from an acute angle played from 35 yards away surely? Oh no Werner didn’t get his shot away.. that famous assassin Werner!
I’d say the positions we got into in the second half weighs against that anyway. It might not show up on the stats but the amount of 3v3s we fecked up was ridiculous.
Bemoaning this performance is beyond ridiculous. David was hardly troubled and there’s no getting around that

Can sense the same folk who moaned for last 2 years will be doing the same for next 6 months........

Chelsea were lucky though . Doesn't really matter if it was Fred or anyone else. They got lucky because we didn't score the feck up by Mendy.

Rudiger was right in front of the goal. It's the easiest chance you can get. No one pressing him, had enough time to judge the flight and all he needed to do was score. It was on a plate.

RLC had a free header which he missed completely. Any kind of decent touch and it's a goal.

Delusional

They could (maybe should) have had 4 or 5. We created absolutely nothing, it was a pathetic, cowardly display that somehow managed to win a point.

Well defensively we were improved surely. And where were these millions of chances you’re talking about for it to have ended 4-0? This wasn’t like Villarreal at OT where they cut us open at will and could’ve been 4-0 at half time. They didn’t really have many great chances. Few half chances but that’s about it. Our spirit, our organization were much better today. We were really together. And we pressed much better too. Not the greatest performance by any stretch. But based on where we are in confidence and where they are, I think we performed pretty well. Compared to City and Liverpool, the Chelsea performance was a world away. Second half especially was much better.

It’s not easy for Rudiger to score because he doesn’t know the finish to make. Putting power on it is his mistake, the angle means he has to hit it straight which makes it harder since being central means he can slightly mishit it and it flys in either side.
RLC not knowing how to head a ball isn’t luck on our part. That’s the lack of talent on his behalf.
