An official announcement isn't going to make much of a difference is it. He'll already be hard at work.
They can always announce with '...pending work permit approval'. I think they did in case of Varane I guess.Brexit.
Work permits etc take some time, it is impossible to finalize this on the weekend.
Dragging it out as usual. Why can't united move quickly about things like other clubs.
Agree that there's a chance it could be a disaster with these players. But then no manager would have been a sure thing.Got myself familiar with this guy in the past few days by listening to bunch of pundits talking about this man. My prediction is that he will fail in the similar fashion as Moyes. He will try to implement his plan, players are going to resent him and all will go to sh1t. Some fans will defend him and explain he will need more time, others will crucify him and mention how he never had any success at big clubs.
I am not questioning that this guy is smart, organized and obviously very well respected by both Klopp, Tuchel and other football people. I think Manchester United as an organization is not ready for this guy. I think too many of our players do not fit this guy's vision of how football should look like according to him. He likes young, fast players. We got few. Will they fall in line or cry their way out of the club? I am a pessimist about this guy as an interim coach, but I am somewhat optimistic about the next coach IF this guy survives 6 months. All it takes for things to get ugly is to get knocked out of UCL by a lesser team and 3-4 bad results in EPL in a row. We have shown that we are capable of that under every single coach before RR and after sir Alex.
I hope I am wrong.

Simplest explanation is we’re waiting until after the Chelsea game. They can always announce with '...pending work permit approval'. I think they did in case of Varane I guess.
Then we have to look at the players, because it will show they are not willing to learn.Agree that there's a chance it could be a disaster with these players. But then no manager would have been a sure thing.
Exactly. This team does not need freeloaders. He will then also know players who have the right attitude he can advise the club to bring in. There will also be players who will try their best but just don't have the attributes he needs. Bloody hell we could be left with no players.Learning a bit more about him, and what I'm getting is that we will find out which players are willing to put in the work and those just there for the pay check.
Never signed Neuer, never even gave him a single appearance.
Never signed Haaland, didn’t even manage him.
Alaba was only a loan.
Smith Rowe was only a loan and he played him for under 40 minutes the entire time, it was a terrible signing.
You know you’re stretching when you have to claim those.
I had no idea who he was until I read about him in forums here. But if Liverpool fans are worried about him as seen in RAWK and their official forums it means Man Utd have signed someone good. Finally a step in right direction.
What will that achieve? Satisfy impatient fans? He might already be working while waiting on work permit. Isnt that more important thing? They can always announce with '...pending work permit approval'. I think they did in case of Varane I guess.
Exactly. It’s like people getting pissy about a pathetic nothingy twitter announcement over players when it’s clear they’re signed. What will that achieve? Satisfy impatient fans? He might already be working while waiting on work permit. Isnt that more important thing?
I have my doubts about a lot of these players. They can't hide behind the manager not being good enough tactically now. Then we have to look at the players, because it will show they are not willing to learn.
And in contrast to players, he can already start to work, while players cannot train before everything is signed and sealed.Exactly. It’s like people getting pissy about a pathetic nothingy twitter announcement over players when it’s clear they’re signed.
I just went over there and read the most recent 10 pages of their thread on it. I have the following take home messages.
1. He's shit
2. United are shit
3. He'll fall out with Ronaldo
4. Ronaldo can't press
5. Ralf is only doing this for the money and will fall out with the owners and leave in 6 months
6. United are really shit
7. All United's players are basically on the level of players in league 1 or possibly 2
8. Our fans will hound RR out of he doesn't win us the league this season
9. Liverpool have a monopoly on patience, class, good football, top fans, special songs, special stadium etc
10. Ralf might fluke us top 4 at best
Carrick saying Ralf cant come in change the whole style of play as it is important to keep UTD DNA,
For me utd DNA means we should play an entetrtaining football all the time to cheer up hard working people when they come to watch us at the weekend as per Busby the great adopted by SAF.
Michael Carrick insists incoming boss Ralf Rangnick will NOT revolutionise Manchester United | Daily Mail Online
I am really pissed off hearing this again and again from Ole and others but playing lethargic dull football on the pitch.
who do you agree with changing the whole setup and moving into modern style by playing entertaining football by an elite continental coaching staff

Cancel the contract. Merse isn't convinced.

Firstly he didn't say that did he? Secondly there is no United way of playing other than attacking football in a general sense
Did you even read the article?Bizzare, and Carrick and his incompetent team is gonna be the coaches under Ragnick ? FFS United needs to stop living in the past. That is only a sign of mental health problems. For the last 10 years United have played incredible boring fotball with no major success. We have not played attractive fotball since 09 imo. United DNA my ass.
Yeah, it's a bullshit piece of journalism. It's a classic example of taking quotes and fitting a completely different headline to them.
In short you don't know. What will that achieve? Satisfy impatient fans? He might already be working while waiting on work permit. Isnt that more important thing?

Wasn’t he charge when Neuer pulled heroics in our CL semis?Never signed Neuer, never even gave him a single appearance.

’The club doesn’t change. It is still Manchester United. it still has a certain DNA running right through it.’
On a scale of motivator to tactician, where would you place Carrick? The quotes aren’t exactly him telling Ralf anything.
Is the same nonsense OgS spouted, & it’s nonsense though. It’s become tedious hearing coaches that have never proven to be able to coach at the top level &/or even shown an ability to foster ‘United DNA’ out of a United squad speak in platitudes.
I hope Ralf comes in like a dose of salt & drops them all out. Phelan, McKenna, Carrick, the lot. It wouldn’t be like Moyes getting rid of a title winning staff [Phelan won under SAF, I know but he’s been anonymous in his return], these bunch are serial losers in the coaching game.
Can’t say I’ve seen him work up close enough to form an opinion. On a scale of motivator to tactician, where would you place Carrick?
