Good. Hopefully Carrick, McKenna and Phelan are gone and he brings in all his own.
Martial doesn't have a future at this club, hasn't for ages. I wouldn't worry about him. I fully feel Greenwood and Rashford can be coached though.
Ahh, yes. Lars Kornetka. Prefers the 4-3-1-2 formation. Birthday Jan 3rd.
Very excited about his appointment. My main concern is how he will get players like Martial, Greenwood and especially Rashford to press in a coordinated manner. Others may disagree, but I have noticed Rashford being very lazy with pressing from the front and tracking back for quite a while, even more under Ole compared to other managers but most were blaming it on him being injured or overworked. This hasn't changed even after he came back from injury.
Our fullbacks are also not his ideal kind of fullbacks and then you have McFred. The fullback part would be a concern of any manager out there anyway. Look at most top teams, most of them have ones which are very capable in the attacking department and are very technically gifted which we completely lack in Shaw and Wan Bissaka.
What are we thinking…club blazer or tracksuit for his first match?
Not sure you are serious about the first point. He coached mainly midtable/newly promoted/lower league sides and mostly outperformed expectations. He promoted Ulm for the first time in history, promoted Hoffenheim multiple times, promoted Leipzig, was second with Schalke etc etc.As I view this thread for the first time, 24 pages is bit too much time consuming for me to read but I'll give my take at the risk of repeating others on here.
First off, not impressed by his average (at best) win % in German football, I think Ole's win % at UTD was far better & that's really saying something.
I notice that he doesn't like Shaw, I now wonder which other UTD players he doesn't like & hopefully won't pick namely Martial, Maguire & McFred.
I also notice some people are saying he won't pick Ronaldo, he would be a fool if he did that.
I am hoping that he will have our talented group of players playing as a team instead of hoping & relying on certain players to produce a magic moment or two to win matches for us.
I also hope he doesn't do an "Ole" & form a "mates club" where certain players (you know who you are) are in the starting XI every game even if they are not doing the business on the pitch.
Let's hope he can fix UTD & quick.
I like that he's one of the "you will do as I say because I'm clearly correct" types of Germans and not the "you will do as I say otherwise I will throw a chair at you" kind of German. Or even the "look at my silly hat and farting whoopee cushion" kind of German.
Essentially we're getting a Mercedes-Benz instead of a Brabus or a Mini.
He could possibly be one of those "welcome to my town, please eat and drink everything in my house" Germans but I don't know what kind of car that would be.
I expect that from players in their 20s but I'm not so sure Ronaldo at 36 can do that week in week out.No mention of Ronaldo??? He hasn't closed a CB down all season yet. Scored a lot of goals but pressing? Haven't seen him sprint once off the ball.

Rangnick is the father of geggenpress. We had the grandfather of tiki-taka in LVG.
I like the back and forth throughout your post of identifying that Rangnick is a high calibre manager, whilst at the same time also downplaying anything that he can deliver beyond the present of "this stage for this United team"
The fact that he has a superior record against Klopp's teams, should be enough to get you concerned (as not many have better head to head's against Jurgen).
Dudes worked with guardiola and ten hag.
Just one Kornetka
Give Lars to us
Delicious coaching
No park the bus
Ronaldo
And Mason G
Give us Kornetka
From Germany
Now that is some food for thought.Kornetka, his assistant, has previously worked with Guardiola and ten Hag.
8-2.So is the expectation his first game is Arsenal?

Look, I'm aboard the RR-train, but why is he suddenly seen as the second coming? Why didn't people here worship him before the appointment?

Good to know! I love my rock. You must have been living under a rock. He's been name dropped on here so much, but we're a mess behind the scenes so no one genuinely saw it as a plausible move. Past few days gave me hope we'd do something smart, but I'm gobsmacked we have.
Indeed, despite all the paper talk, there seems to be real groundwork being put in place to recruit ETH in the long term, with Pochettino being right in line behind him I would say.Now that is some food for thought.
Thought he died at the end of No Time To Die, but apparently he's here to Die Another Day.
Exactly. He worked well with Raul at Schalke. They could not believe their luck that a legend of Real Madrid came to their club (albeit because he became to old to startfor Real), so Raul had at least a similarly special status there as Ronaldo has today at United.Rangnick will be as worried about having to accommodate Ronaldo as the guy with the biggest dick is concerned about taking his pants off in the changing rooms.
I agree 100% and would be excited to see what he can do with a genuine high quality squad. He never had that, he always produced the optimum with the limited means he got. Now this would be a feast for him. I would love to see this!He might genuinely be the most important guy in german football over the last 30 years. Often unheralded, but he's behind a lot of changes in coaching and youth setups all over germany.
I'm happy mate, and hope to see a Man Utd team that will make us all proud.
