Of course.Arguably. So it's still on Ole, in the end.
Of course.Arguably. So it's still on Ole, in the end.
Who knows mate but he wouldn’t have had such a hard time in that team he would have been the focal point of attack and killed games with his leathal finishing. In our team he feeds of scraps and desperation- adding to the disharmonyI don't disagree, but I wouldn't phrase it too negatively.
Varane has come for a final payday, and he was comparably poor in recent seasons which is why Real weren't fighting harder to keep him, but that doesn't mean that he isn't a fundamentally great player, numerically in his prime, who might benefit from a new challenge, adds massive quality and experience to the United defense, and has a good attitude and mentality.
Ronaldo, probably was overkill and a knee-jerk decision to sign him. But if that was detrimental to Ole's reign, it's ironic that he ultimately got fecked over by SAF to whom is is so devoted..
The funny thing about the Ronaldo signing is, though, people claim how Ronaldo goes against, or "kills", the team spirit and isn't hard-working enough anymore etc, but then how do you explain that City, by all accounts, were about to sign him? Would he have killed their team mentality too?
Definitely.Arguably. So it's still on Ole, in the end.
He's just desperate to make it look better than with Ole, truth doesn't matter to his campaign.Who has he dropped? Ronaldo, Maguire, Rashford were injured today. Easy to drop players when they aren’t available. Also, if you could explain the system you’re seeing? I’ve seen a manager trying multiple formations and no real consistent style of play from game to game.
I’m happy to admit it is always going to be hard to change things quickly, but don’t make things up.
Well this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I thought we brought him in in a “consultancy” role in order for him to advise what players to bring in, yet we veto any players he wants to bring in. Excellent.
You’d be the type to call for ETH sacking if we play badly in his first ten games
That was actually much better today until we tired and gaps started appearing. We had a 34yo and a 33yo in the team, plus Fred, and it definitely showed in the final 20 minutes.
Ragnick can only do so much with the players he has available.
Simon Mullock is a solid source.I'm sure the Mirror have proven for countless transfer windows by now they don't have a clue.
Although I don't expect any incomings anyway so they are probably right on that front.
It is what it is. Don't cry over spilled milk. Ole had his shot, and he was given a long time. Don't despair over Rangnick either, you'll get a new manager in summer.Who knows mate but he wouldn’t have had such a hard time in that team he would have been the focal point of attack and killed games with his leathal finishing. In our team he feeds of scraps and desperation- adding to the disharmony
I wouldn’t believe those stories. Surely we wouldn’t appoint a coach, tell him he’s being tasked with overseeing a complete reset of culture and playing style and not let him sign anyone?
This. Three additions comes the summer will make us instantly better, also there will be massive clear out it seems. We badly need a MF ASAP.
Then another in the summer. And a RB.
Who knows mate but he wouldn’t have had such a hard time in that team he would have been the focal point of attack and killed games with his leathal finishing. In our team he feeds of scraps and desperation- adding to the disharmony
Very good question.Should he be getting paid then??
Agreed the midfield is the heart of the team and we have McFred and Matic....the worst midfield in the league probably...Totally agree, even Pep wouldn’t get a tune out of this lot right now, I can’t believe the shit the guy is getting after only a few short weeks. This is not on RR.
If true the intpeness of this board knows no limit. To give a shite non proven coach hundreds of millions and nothing for Ragnick is just idiocy.
A quick search of his name on here brings up numerous transfer stories which says he isn't.Simon Mullock is a solid source.
Why are you even talking about ETH? Is he a sure bet if he comes here? Just as likely to be another De Boer as he is a roaring success
Its just obvious we haven’t improved a jot since ole left. I wouldnt mind if you could see things on the pitch to give you encouragement but we cant. I have seen a change from dogshit to catshit on the pitch and everyone seems to be trying to pick at the differences to find a positive. All I see a 90’s 442 with static players and all the wingers on the bench.
We still look shit defensively, we still cant play basic passes, our players positioning is still shit, we’ve stopped scoring, our players still dont find space to recieve the ball. He can bemoan covid and new ideas but he hasnt even got them doing basic basic things. So much for a genius coach. Literally the gameplan for today was for greenwood to try and beat his man. Thats literally relying on ‘individual brilliance’. Theres no system there that i can see really. Its all very well saying ‘ooh, nice shape off the ball’ but you expect that from league 2 teams. I think that starts becoming a basic requirement once you get past under 7’s sides, its not an accolade. The season was gone under Ole and its even more gone now imo. He doesnt even seem to have the players backing. We were lucky to beat villa in the cup, we were lucky not to lose to newcastle, we were lucky norwich couldnt hit a barn door. If this is Ralf on a lucky streak i am deeply concerned for the rest of the season.
We definitely didn't play 442 today, did you actually watch it?
ThisRangnick is not responsible for Fred not knowing how to pass a ball, being as easy to brush off as a fallen leaf, and having the first touch of an 8 year-old. RR picked him to play, but what are the other options?
RR failed today with his subs. We could have managed the game better with early subs and getting Fred and Matic and Cavani off the pitch. Leaving them on hurt us. Beyond that, at least RR has a plan, which Ole did not.
This
I can believe that all day, not that it makes sense. We can't expect any real transition under him with the same midfield, honestly we can't.I wouldn’t believe those stories. Surely we wouldn’t appoint a coach, tell him he’s being tasked with overseeing a complete reset of culture and playing style and not let him sign anyone?
Yeah but freds been shit for years. Under Ole it was ‘bad coaching’ and ‘failing to improve players’ now it suddenly is Freds fault. I do personally think he is a bit rubbish to be our first name on the teamsheet in midfield
Good for youA quick search of his name on here brings up numerous transfer stories which says he isn't.
We were meant to be title contenders at the start of the season and now the squad needs rebuilding. The narrative quickly changes for the hysterical on here.
The grandfather of gengenpress is leaving grandfathers on for 90 minutes to gengenpress
Good point. A rudderless ship we are.Well this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I thought we brought him in in a “consultancy” role in order for him to advise what players to bring in, yet we veto any players he wants to bring in. Excellent.
I agree. Matic and Fred were terrible, if we could get an actual midfield then I will judge. I actually thought we did quite well in the first 30 minutes. Players still need to improve and get on board. small steps , very small.Cant polish a turd… I will judge him after we sign a decent CDM.
Whoever said we were title contenders going into this season was a tad over-optimistic. From what I remember, everyone was saying we should hopefully not fall so far behind City this season, and that we were lucky to get 2nd last time out.We were meant to be title contenders at the start of the season and now the squad needs rebuilding. The narrative quickly changes for the hysterical on here.
Yea kind of agree love SAF but he did have Scholes in his midfield for going on 20 years, makes a diffI agree. Matic and Fred were terrible, if we could get an actual midfield then I will judge. I actually thought we did quite well in the first 30 minutes. Players still need to improve and get on board. small steps , very small.
