His lack of proactive approach when it comes to changing our midfield is infuriating.
Fair enough but we were better with him. Facts, results , league position- everything suggests that. Good going for a “pussy”I’m not going to argue about Ole being good. Sick to the back teeth of talking about him and now that he’s gone. Don’t really want to talk about him again. Have a debate with someone else.
I hope everyone realised now how good OGS was in the previous 2 seasons. Utter dross again tonight
Mourinho also achieved 2nd place (with trophies) and he's widely regarded as a failure here. Can we stop with this nonsense. Ole was awful.
2nd place and feck all else or 7th place and a trophy? At least ole went all in on everything. fecking disgraceful standards. The 2nd place was a million miles off anything as well. This time last year we were title challengingMourinho also achieved 2nd place (with trophies) and he's widely regarded as a failure here. Can we stop with this nonsense. Ole was awful.
When are we going to stop blaming “the board” they pump the money in what more do we all want?
Ole was doing ok for while, but was never really good enough. And he's gone now. End of story.2nd place and feck all else or 7th place and a trophy? At least ole went all in on everything. fecking disgraceful standards
Yeah agree but the board is putting the money up aren’t they? Which wankers are wasting it? Blame themYears of mismanagement and over spending on shite is one of the main reason were in such a mess
He was better than this shit showOle was doing ok for while, but was never really good enough. And he's gone now. End of story.
He kind of caused this shit show and Ralf's trying to dig us out of itHe was better than this shit show
This season it was objectively worse under Ole than it has been since. It's almost like Rangnick lost 0:5 to Liverpool or 1:4 to Watford. He was better than this shit show
Half the squad is unhappy and having a interim manager with 3 quarters of a season to go was always going to be a disaster. Ole needed to go and in the long term that will prove to be correct, the board fecked up yet again by not getting Conte in my opinion.
We are taking baby steps forward, but we are definitely improving. Sings are there. For periods we press well, our patterns in attack seem to be working better and better.
He is doing what he was brought here to do. If you thought he was magically transforming this team of overpaid divas, serial losers and many simply average players into CL/PL winners, you were delusional to begin with.
The glue that can bring this team together is going to be a proper DM. We don't seem to be going for one. So forget about consistency until the end of the season. If McTom or Fred or Matic has a freak world class game, we are going to look amazing. If they are on their usual level, we are going to struggle. That's the harsh reality.
Players are still misplacing or overhitting simple passes and making wrong decisions. Ralf was furious in the first half when Telles got the ball with TONS OF SPACE, ran into the penatly area and immediately overhit a random cross to nowhere, instead of holding the ball a little more and waiting for a good option to pass to (he could even have gone for shot himself).
You can't put all the blame on the manager for everything. No way.
Obviously he doesn't trust VDB in the midfield and sees him only as Bruno substitution. Why I do not know. But there are a lot of overreactions once again. This team is nowhere near ready and nowhere near good enough.
Ps: I think we shouldn't have bought Ronaldo or Sancho. Had we spent all this money on proper DM and less expensive attacker, we would have been miles better off. But our board is clueless.
Disregard the previous two seasonsThis season it was objectively worse under Ole than it has been since. It's almost like Rangnick lost 0:5 to Liverpool or 1:4 to Watford.
Yeah I’m sure he’s regretting guiding us 2nd and 3rd. It’s a lot harder than you all think that’s for sure:He kind of caused this shit show and Ralf's trying to dig us out of it
Every season starts at 0. You don't carry points from previous seasons into a new one.Disregard the previous two seasons
Many seem to be unhappy with Ralf, and I’m not over the moon with him either, but is it a necessary evil in the short term, while we get to the bottom of the mess within the playing squad?
This stuff going on with Martial and us having an incomplete bench today, is it a good thing longer term?
Exactly. Let us stop living in the past. Anyways for me this season is a write off thanks to our incompetent board. The only competition I am excited is FA cup.Ole was doing ok for while, but was never really good enough. And he's gone now. End of story.
Agree completely. But we were better under OGS than this shit or under LVG or Jose.Every season starts at 0. You don't carry points from previous seasons into a new one.

Ole did better than expected. That much is absolutely true. But that is also connected to the fact that noone had any expectations, unlike it was with LVG or Mourinho, as in reality, he should never have been appointed permanent manager with his record. But he also tried his best and fans should appreciate what he did and keep him in a positive memory.Agree completely. But we were better under OGS than this shit or under LVG or Jose.
It’s nothing to do with expectations and we’re better under ole. We finished 3rd then 2nd and we had long cup runs to semis or finals in both seasons. We had squad harmony and measured improvement in a vast majority of players. Nothing like the Lampard situation. We added 3 players to the squad then it went to shit. Now, no matter how well you regard his work in previous seasons (I would regard it as kind of decent but with a ceiling), this season it all fell apart, not by chance after serious investment and the corresponding change in expectations. Kind of like it went with Lampard, and he was sacked accordingly.
How good Rangnick is, has bearing on that. No use in playing it out against each other.
I've drawn my conclusions and posted them. The added players and expectations demanded that Ole get the team to perform better than his ceiling (or that of the whole coaching set up) enabled him to do. The squad took a step up, not just in quality but also difficulty to manage, and Ole couldn't deliver, and then team spirit deflated like a spiked balloon. The parallels to what happened to Lampard are actually rather striking. It’s nothing to do with expectations and we’re better under ole. I think varane has come for a final pay day. I think Ronaldo, despite his best efforts and no fault of his own and I think he’s done well but he’s killed the group and killed the plan and structure we had going forward with ole. Ole won’t admit it and no one else will and whilst he’s a great finisher still I think he’s killed the group mentality had under ole.I've drawn my conclusions and posted them. What are yours? That the 3 players are to blame?
Yeah that’s why we finished 2nd and 3rd what a pile of shit. Enjoy 7th or 8th with a “pattern of play”
sorry I’m not aiming that at you just fans in general. We are a million miles worse now than what we were under OGS
I don't disagree, but I wouldn't phrase it too negatively.I think varane has come for a final pay day. City have a much better system in place and he wouldn’t have been allowed to take over the team the way he has done since being here.I don't disagree, but I wouldn't phrase it too negatively.
Varane has come for a final payday, and he was comparably poor in recent seasons which is why Real weren't fighting harder to keep him, but that doesn't mean that he isn't fundamentally great player who might benefit from a new challenge, adds quality and experience to the United defense, and has a good attitude and mentality.
Ronaldo, probably was overkill and a knee-jerk decision to sign him. But if that was detrimental to Ole's reign, it's ironic that he ultimately got fecked over by SAF to whom is is so devoted..
The funny thing about the Ronaldo signing is, though, people claim how Ronaldo goes against, or "kills", the team spirit and isn't hard-working enough anymore etc, but then how do you explain that City, by all accounts, were about to sign him? Would he have killed their team spirit too?
Arguably. So it's still on Ole, in the end.City have a much better system in place and he wouldn’t have been allowed to take over the team the way he has done since being here.
