We might have wanted to keep him in previous summers, but this year we'll be actively trying to get rid. No need for Pogba/Raiola to kick up any more of a stink in the press when everyone's on the same page.
It's a win-win for all concerned really. Decent fee for us, decent move for him and hopefully some good performances in the interim 'shop window'.

This is just speculation. I am very much expecting Pogba to go to PSG.
If PSG were to land Messi, PSG would become alot more of an attractive destination for alot of players. Pogba included i think.

Yup. He's what used to be called a fair weather player. If the team is functioning, he will enhance it. If it isn't he's not the player to fix it.
In the expectation that we are going to continue to be a functioning team under Ole, I hope he stays. What we should not do is try to "build the team round him". He isn't that type of player at all.

We need to replace him with a quality midfielder.
As evident over the years, Pogba's form is really not reliable. He goes into this up and down cycle all the time.
If we get a sizable fee for him in the summer and good performances in the interim, then yes, that's a big win for us in the current circumstances.
Yeah I think he’s working much better in a team that doesn’t solely rely on him to succeed. Add a top class right wing, central midfielder and central defender and I see us being a lot more functional with plenty of depth and then perhaps Pogba finds his comfort level.

There is simply no way you can deny that the team was drastically improved before Bruno.
In the past season the following happened before Bruno came:
1. Maguire and AWB were brought in and became immediate starters, showing that they offered much higher quality
2. Dan James was brought in and he offered some initial quality
3. Fred settled and became a mainstay unlike the forgotten man he was the season before, showing that he had genuinely improved
4. McTominay matured
The team Bruno inherited was dramatically improved and you don't need to look much further than the opening day thumping of Chelsea to find the evidence. Why did that form not continue? Pogba and Martial got injured at critical periods and their replacements were far too inferior. What Bruno added was simply a player who could replace some of what Pogba brought, reverting the team back to those levels.

If nothing else the past few weeks has shown that Fernandes and Pogba CAN play together so if we put a pure out and out defensive midfielder who’s job is simply to shield the defence and do the dirty work for Fernandes and Pogba to do their thing it could work brilliantly and before anyone says it neither McTominay or Fred are pure out and out defensive midfielders nor will they ever be.

For how much would we sell Pogba? Assuming we manage to sell him for 70m, Rice would cost that amount, perhaps more, and Grealish would cost around 80-90, so Pogba's replacement probably will cost more money than we'll get by selling him.

I don't think any club will pay the fee you want plus the wages Pogba wants this summer. Clubs are still reeling from the financial impact of the pandemic and to the extent they're ready to spend again, it won't be for a then 28-year-old midfielder whose commitment has wavered at times and who wants 350-400k per week for the next 4-5 years on top of a 50m+ transfer fee.
PSG was the potential exception but I honestly can't see him being a choice for Poch. Leonardo may have ultimate control over transfers but Poch will certainly have some say in the matter and the one thing he wants out of all his midfielders is commitment and hard running.
In the end, Pogba and Raiola will do what nets them the most money. That's most likely going to be signing a massive new deal that keeps him at United for another 4-5 years at 350-400k per week or leaving on a free and signing a massive new deal elsewhere in summer 2022 on similar terms with a nice signing on bonus.

Where is this faith coming from? Sadly I think VDB is that replacement and that is very underwhelming.

1. Raiola was talking shit and Pogba finally found form enjoying playing in a better United side
2. Raiola was talking shit and Pogba is currently gunning for a better contract, in which case we'll probably see a regression
3. Raiola was telling the truth and Pogba is putting himself in the shop window
At the risk of being negative, it feels like the last two are more likely to me.
