Was shit tonight, Corinthians offer can't come soon enough.

I actually love him.

I can genuinely see him captaining United one day.

It feels good to have an actual right back that is good at being a right back playing there for us.

Great to have him back. Hopefully stays fit now.

Fantastic tonight. You don't realise how good he is until he's missing from the team.

Bold statement and unnecessary but with him we'd had won Chelsea and gotten at least a point at Anfield.. He's so good today, can't wait for Saturday now..

Good to see him back, he did very well. Will take a few games to get his sharpness back fully.

He's better going forward than Young or Valencia. He will be a world class player.

Such a great player. Would be absurd if he doesn't make it to the World Cup
Can't see it happening. He fully deserves it but it they seem to have Alves and even Maicon ahead of him. It would take any injury to one of them for him to get a look in.

Thought he was a touch rusty today but overall, it was great to have him back. Added so much confidence and balance to the side.

Also, I don't think fans of the Brazil national team are over what happened in the Olympics with Rafael just yet.

His return is such a boost. He adds so much more than you would ever expect from a right back.

Well that only benefits Man Utd, no? It's criminal that Rafael likely won't play in the next World Cup, especially as it's in his own country, but we've seen how his absence hurts us. I'm glad for United that the chances of Rafa going away and coming back injured have been cut because Rafa's been frozen out by Brazil. We need him more than they do.

It really is dumb. Since the Olympics he had basically his best season for United, and has easily cemented his place as our number 1 RB, yet he doesn't get a look in for the national side. Though at least we don't have to worry about him being injured on national duty and he can get a rest instead

We've been blessed by some great attacking full backs over the years, to be fair. For all that United is associated with great wing-play our wingers are far more of a threat with a proper fullback overlapping. Really hinders our game when our fullback isn't an attacking threat.

Makes such a difference to have a proper full back at right back rather than a centre back. I love him.

As I keep saying, if the lad stays here for the remainder of his career, he can become a real legend. He's already a top player, but he can get even better, which is scary.

Does he know how to run at anything less than 100%? I was really impressed with how many runs he made down that right hand side at full pelt. He has such good movements and is so good on the ball that he really is becoming one of our more important players both in attack and defence.

It's amazing how more fluid we were on the right with him in the side. It's the subtle things he does. Welcome back! Now if you can just train your bro to do the same we'll be fine on the right!

Hasn't been called up AGAIN. Meanwhile Maicon and Lucas Leiva are both in the squad.

i know he wants to represent his country and deservedly so, but if brazil don't want him, i could not care more. all united fans love rafa and that's more important.

great to have him back!

He gives us balance and is now very good defensively.

I also love the runs he makes, that one he does where he kinda charges in between the left-back and left sided CB is class. Opens up so much space for others.

If he wasn't doing that all last season, Valencia would have looked even worse.

Sorely missed today because Jones seems to have regressed or is playing injured. Him and Nani on the right wing would have won us the match IMO.

Im actually shocked at how conservative Jones seems to play these days considering when he first joined us he was full of running and penetration.

And without mentioning how his crossing ability deteriorated.

Fact of the matter is that he never made sessegnon track him by making the appropriate forward runs. Would have made his job a lot easier by pinning him back in his own half. There were a few encouraging moments but he has really lacked that penetration we saw when he first joined. I hope his conservative style is a result of the numerous injuries he has picked up and not because he has regressed.

The boy needs a run of games at centre back.
