Radamel Falcao Garcia

He's been a disappointment up till now for Colombia, but part is to blame for coaching scandals, 3 different managers in such a short span, the lack of a proper playmaking midfielder, but things are starting to look a lot better. He did score our winner in the qualifying match against Bolivia, and now that the Argie Peckerman has taken the reigns of Colombia, they looked fantastic in his debut in the friendly against Mexico in which Falcao scored and looked very dangerous.

Seems like the perfect moment for Falcao's form and the new look of Pekerman's Colombia. A lot will be learned in the two qualifiers we have coming up with Ecuador and Peru. Can't wait. We've been crap for the past ten years, and now there's a real excitement in the air with Falcao and James Rodriguez and their growing presence in Europe.

Funny I said the same thing to a friend yesterday, even though I can't even remember seeing Salas play. It may have been racist of me, I'm not sure.

 possibly, its a pretty close comparison to make due to their build and ability around the penalty box.

A Salas actually making good on his potential.

Definately.

I still hold out a muppet hope we get him if we miss out on Hazard. Another season like the one he had just now and he will be on everyone else's radar... Knowing how we work though, we'll be waiting and seeing, and in a year's time, seeing him gone.

It seems like each of the world class players is deemed to be disappointing for their countries.

Usually guys like Klose and Muller, some less expected players who do the best in international games.

Not his first time either

I'm sure I read(or heard in a podcast) he's actually owned by an investment group, of which that creep Mendes has a significant stake in. Doyen investments or something.

well if mendes then we have a chance - mendes is fergies friend  seems as though we only sign mendes clients

He and Cavani are tremendous strikers. Both powerful, and skilful. Both have badarse names, and both even look alike.

Any authenticity to this news? Can't see them turning that down if it was true, especially considering their financial situation.

I'm calling bullshit to this one, given Atletico's financial situation, no way they're rejecting 68m for Falcao.

One would be mad to turn down 68m for a footballer, any footballer

If someone offer us that kind of money for Rooney, he'll be gone tomorrow

If Atletico want to be relevant again and competitive, there's no way they'd let him go. They have financial problems, but Falcao is the only thing keeping them in games. He's worth far too much to the club.

Plus, Falcao is not a mercenary. He wants to play football at the top level. I can't ever see him agreeing to go to deadman's Russia. He's actually been studying English in hopes of some day playing in the EPL.

If Rooney ever leaves, Falcao would be top of my list.

It's Euros, not pounds, and unless Rooney wanted away, I don't think we take £68M for him, let alone £54M

We'd be mad not to take £68m for Rooney.

Excellent player, lovely to watch. Quick, good feet, strong etc.

He's already scored 100 goals in European football in just over 3 seasons. 104 goals in 113 starts since he first moved to Porto.

Would love him hear although it wouldn't happen. Id imagine Barca and Real are probably looking on in interest

Sign him up, buy all the strikers, play Wazza and RVP in midfield sure.

They wont sell to Real. They probably would have a strike force of Augero and Falcao if they had have been at other clubs.

Money talks in football. I'm pretty sure aguero said he wouldnt move to real but Falcao could make life difficult for At. Madrid if he really wanted to go there.

"In January 2009 River Plate offered Falcao to Villa for £7m. Martin O'Neill decided to go with Emile Heskey instead."

one of the best striker in the world right now. he is a great goalscorer as well as a scorer of great goals.
