Not giving up I just think that, as sad as it sounds, top 4 will be really important this season.so we are 8 points behind the leaders with 17 games to go and you all are giving up?
This is the sort of mentality that has caused our once great club to become also-rans! If we aim for the top then top 4 will take care of itself. Not giving up I just think that, as sad as it sounds, top 4 will be really important this season.
With potential new owners and new investment coupled with FFP, being in the CL places is going to be key.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t or can’t go for top spot but it’s going to be really difficult so for me a City win or ideally a draw would be far more beneficial at this point.
How would you like it done?More people wanting city to win kill me now
The late goals against Palace and Arsenal have really cost us. We would have been just 2 points behind Arsenal.
This will happen to every team. it hasn’t really cost us anything because we can’t win every game nor can anyone else. The late goals against Palace and Arsenal have really cost us. We would have been just 2 points behind Arsenal.
They have a game in hand. Let’s not conveniently ignore that.so we are 8 points behind the leaders with 17 games to go and you all are giving up?

They have to face City two times more than us. Let's not ignore that either.
Fair enough. But it’s not like playing City is an automatic loss or something. They’re way ahead and playing better than us.They have to face City two times more than us. Let's not ignore that either.
Arsenal will beat City next week
Why is that odd to you? City winning benefits us, and cements us further in top 4.More people wanting city to win kill me now
Fair play if they do but they haven't beaten City in the league since 2015, before Pep.
Not sure, they looked a bit leggy against Everton and they still have a game before City which isn’t easy against Brentford.Arsenal will beat City next week

And they have a game in hand, miles better goal difference, and they'll put 100% focus on the league while we are in every cup and don't have their level of performance on a week to week basis.... Us winning the title from here would be a miracle happening. It's not on. I'd be very happy with 80 points for us and cup wins. Arsenal are on pace for high 90s.so we are 8 points behind the leaders with 17 games to go and you all are giving up?

I find it quite unbelievable that we were fourth, won our match, saw two teams above us lose points and then some here hoped the team in second (our city rivals of all teams) beat the team below us.
We are not going to throw this away.
The results this week were almost perfect for us. Time to celebrate!

Maybe some are just enjoying the race and even though we have a tiny chance it's more of a chance than it's been for years and years. I don't think we will win the title but second place is definitely within reach and who knows what will happen but at least its exciting. Some amount of blinkers on here. That was the worst result for us. If folk think we're actually going to win the title this year I'll have a pint of what they're on.
Yep, it's quite bizarre. Spurs winning is bad news for us - it means we can't relax in the league, still can't really build up a cushion over 5th place. We're in all the cups so we'll have a ridiculously congested fixture list and our best passer in midfield is out until April while our first choice striker is ridiculously unreliable. We'll drop a lot of points so we need Spurs, Newcastle et al to do the same. Some amount of blinkers on here. That was the worst result for us. If folk think we're actually going to win the title this year I'll have a pint of what they're on.

Heapsie is a local lad, goes to every home and away, he’ll have you know. City losing is more important than United benefitting. All of us non-Mancs just don’t get it.
It’s not about winning the title. If we can overcome City it increases our Top 4 chances exponentially. Tottenham are 3 behind us and we have a game in hand. We are closer to taking second than we are dropping out of the Top 4.Some amount of blinkers on here. That was the worst result for us. People just don't understand the maths of it.Some amount of blinkers on here. That was the worst result for us. If folk think we're actually going to win the title this year I'll have a pint of what they're on.
Not sure what i've done to trigger you into this weird dig.
