QF | Spain vs Germany | Portugal vs France

English refs are fecking insufferable. This game is on the verge of getting out of hand already because Taylor's a useless wanker. Loves trying to act the big man for the cameras though. If only his skill matched his ego.
Relax.
“Getting out of hand” most of these wouldn’t even be fouls back in the day, play on ref.
Excellent match so far.

Spain look different, kicking them has seemingly worked.

Williams is the player Rashford thinks he is. Can't United sign him somehow?

Is Fabian Ruiz one of those who only turns up for his NT? Doesn't seem to be good in club form.

The fact that comms hasn't issued a clarification on Rudiger saying otherwise, leads me to believe that he is in fact suspended for SF (should they make it).

Spain just playing too slow to really trouble Germany despite being gifted possession in dangerous areas.

Im convinced there's some science about Fluorescent keeper tops that makes you shoot straight at them.

It's beyond a single player. They are all less aggressive in their runs and their pressing.

Tbf that’s just usual game progression for most teams. Come out firing and slow down as it’s not something you can do full stop.

Raum is terrible too. Never a free kick. Got very lucky here against Williams

Yes, that is also true. Rüdiger just earned a suspension. Suspensions are not wiped after QFs. Only bookings are.
Obviously I'm not sure of anything but isn't for a player who picks up a card in this game when he didn't have one in the previous round so that in the semis, he couldn't be under threat to miss the final ?
There's also this:
At Euro 2024, yellow cards are wiped from a player's record once the tournament reaches the end of the quarterfinal stage. That means that no player can be suspended for the semifinals or final due to yellow-card accumulation over previous rounds. They can, however, be banned for quarterfinal matches due to yellow cards shown through the group stage and Round of 16.
Therefore, once players carrying yellow cards get through the quarter-final stage, they can breathe a sigh of relief.
All yellow cards are reset, previous cautions are wiped at the end of the quarterfinal stage, hence no player will carry a yellow card into the semifinal. However, if they get booked in the quarterfinal for the second time, they will miss the semifinal.
Seems contradictory across different sites.

Spain are technically superior and much more fun to watch but I think their lack of ruggedness / cutting edge will cost them today.

And Germany are playing like like some shitty minnow you face in a WC qualifier.
