PSG's potential fire sale: any players of interest?

I'd take Aurier and Lucas (though I think we need another winger if we bring in Lucas). Di Maria is still one of the best wingers in the world but it would be difficult for me to accept him back after he pretty much just abandoned the club

Aurier is worth a risk, very talented player. Could Krychowiak be worth a punt as a Carrick replacement? Can't see Carrick here next season.

Outside of Veratti is there anyone they've got who is actually able to improve us in any areas that we need to strengthen ? I don't think Aurier is better than Valencia currently is and whilst on paper Di Maria is better than our song options it would be madness to bring him back after selling him at a big loss only a couple of years ago.

Aurier if he can play backup LB and Lucas because we have zero wingers in our squad at the moment.
If Fellaini was leaving I would suggest Matudi as well.

Because he downed tools half way through the season, refused to return for preseason and forced a move out.

I'd forgotten about him "missing the flight" for pre-season actually. Fair point.

You're right, he was a bit shit after that Leicester farce. I seemed to have just deleted Di Maria - The United Player from my memory. Remember when he caught the aerial ball that he seemed to think had gone out for a throw, but he was about a yard inwards from the touchline?

Marquinhos and Veratti are the only players I'd take from their squad.

No, a Qatar fund will pay to Neymar 300 million, and Neymar will pay the clause and he will sign for Psg as a free agent

They do not have to sell any player

In 2014, PSG and City had sanctions. FFP is an unclear reality but still a reality.

The best potentially available players are clearly Aurier & Lucas Moura: I consider them as "United Quality" players as you'd say

- Mourinho is the right man to tame Aurier who is still young. High Potential. Average risk. Market value: 25 millions + bonus
- Lucas Moura is versatile and can play on both flanks. 25 years. 20 goals last year. Good Potential. Low risk. Market value: 25 millions
- Matuidi would be great to strengthen your Safe bet. Market value: 15-20 millions.

Exactly, same as that but we're fully stocked for centre backs so that's why I said no one else other than Veratti even though Marquinhos is an exceptional talent and will no doubt become world class.

Even though Di Maria was a complete melt It's really annoying because you just know he'd be amazing for us now under Jose.

Aurier is the main choice, maybe Lucas too for pace

I would take Krychowiak. We could use another midfielder and Krychowiak is a better option than Carrick or Felliani IMO. Krychowiak hasn't been a success at PSG but he was great for Sevilla and I think he could be great under Mourinho. He's similar to Matic but I think he's better on the ball and more mobile.

Aurier has been linked with us too and I think he's very talented if he's focused. But he is a headcase with attitude red flags so I'm not sure. Lucas could be a good squad player for us, and we could use another option on the right wing instead of Lingard.

Only Verratti would significantly improve United, and would definitely be worth breaking the transfer record for, but having spunked £40m on Matic for DM there is almost zero chance of that happening now, even if PSG would give him up.

I'd definitely take Di Maria back if we could get him for a good price. Yes, the first stint was a disaster but LVG was mainly to blame for that no idea what he was thinking. His attitude was terrible laterally and he shouldn't have downed tools like he did but if he came here Mourinho would make sure he'd have something to prove.

PSG will have ensured Neymar move doesn't breach FFP rules - UEFA

Paris Saint-Germain will have "done their sums well" to ensure a potential world-record move for Neymar keeps them within financial fair play regulations, UEFA's FFP head has told L'Equipe.

Along with Manchester City, PSG were hit by sanctions in 2014 after falling foul of FFP. They were handed a €60 million fine, had their Champions League squad reduced from 25 to 21 for a season and saw their hands tied in their transfer dealings.

Now, media reports claim the Ligue 1 outfit are considering how to meet Barcelona forward Neymar's €222m buyout clause, pay his reported €30m annual wage and also squeeze within FFP boundaries.

A source close to PSG told ESPN FC last week that Neymar has told the French club he wants to move to the Parc des Princes and has agreed to terms on a contract. The source indicated that the biggest remaining question is no longer whether Neymar is willing to swap the Camp Nou for the Parc des Princes but how ownership finances what would be a world-record fee.

Andrea Traverso, who leads UEFA's FFP watchdog, says PSG will tread even more carefully as a second breach of the regulations could leave them open to a heavier punishment, including a ban from European competition.

"PSG are no longer under those restrictions, but that doesn't mean they can start to do what they want,"
he said. "They must respect financial fair play regulations, just like everyone else in Europe. They must show they can have losses that do not go beyond €30m over three years.

"I note the impact of any possible arrival of Neymar in Paris would have an effect that would be felt over several years. But it's very difficult to judge this kind of operation in advance. I don't know their plans. The transfer window is not closed. They might have planned on selling one, two, three or four players for an equivalent or bigger amount. We'll see where we stand at the end. I think they have done their sums well."

Special dispensation can be given to clubs to run up bigger losses than those laid out by UEFA, but any team that has been punished within the last three years cannot apply, ruling PSG out.

Though they have been transformed into one of European football's big clubs since the arrival of Qatar Sports Investments in 2011, PSG will not be protected by their status on the continent.

"We don't make a distinction. All clubs are treated in the same way," Traverso said. "You say PSG and Manchester City have been punished. I can tell you Inter [Milan] and Roma have been restricted too. Major clubs, in Turkey, have been punished very heavily. Small, middle-sized and big clubs are treated in the same way."

Traverso added that PSG should have learned their lesson in the last three years.

"It's been a long time since then," he said. "The rules had just been introduced. Now, everyone knows them well. I'm convinced that everything will be done within the rules. But I understand very well that some people are asking themselves questions."

Will they balance the books with just those players being sold though?
The commercial work they've been doing has already done that. Right now all they will need to do if they get Neymar is to cull unwanted and unhappy players. Of whom wages alone will save them millions. That and the transfers fees could net them over 150m I believe

Well they definitely know the impact of falling foul of FFP so I would imagine that they have a plan and the above would seem to cover it. Really putting all their eggs in one basket though.

20 goals for lucas last season. That's a fantastic return for a winger.

Matuidi would add great depth. Not sure he'd come to be a sub though.

Aurier would be worth a gamble with huge reward with little risk. He'd complete the Tony V transition.

I'd take Di Maria for cheap to be honest. Massively talented player. Know he left on cnutish terms but he was amazing under Mourinho.

Aurier is an interesting option as we will be looking at a RB to replace Valencia long term either this or most definitely next season. His attitude and mentality are extremely questionable which is a stumbling block. Semedo has gone to Barca, unsure what other realistic options we'd have for RB bar Aurier.

Di Maria is a no - been there done that.

Lucas, while he has potential I don't think realistically he will offer anything more than Martial, Miki or even Lingard. Offers a lot of promise but cant see him ever reaching his true potential.

No other stand out players to consider, we don't need Matuidi/Krychowiak as we now have Matic. Unless Fellaini is sold our midfield is decent with Pereira in and around the squad too. If Fellaini goes I'd suggest Krychowiak as a replacement but jose's comments regarding Fellaini recently suggests he is 110% staying.

Verratti is the dream, but surely he is Barca bound if PSG get Neymar.

I think its Aurier or none personally, and that's a big if

Surely some Qatari club will pay PSG 221m to sign their tea lady or something?

Alternatively if we tap up Verratti too, does that mean PSG might offer us 200m for Fellaini? Afterall Jose just made it clear he's our key player.

Stay clear of both di Maria and Lucas Moura.

Why is Di Maria a rat? Other than looking a bit like one.

He basically gave up on us in his stint here. Didn't even look like he was trying. Didn't want to be here in the first place. Seemed like he lacked heart period.

Wait until the last few days of the window and we could probably take our pick or their players. Draxler would be nice.
