PSG vs Man Utd | Build-up Thread | Return leg Wednesday 06.03

Depending on how the weekend goes, but as things stand I'll be disappointed if we don't at least get a good result at OT. 2nd leg is hard to predict depending on a whole load of factors.

If Verratti is out we stand a very good chance - we should be able to overrun their midfield without him like Liverpool did.

If the question is 'name one player that definitely shouldn't be anywhere near the team', then yes, Lukaku is very much the answer.
Don't really understand this view? If we use him to his strengths e.g. v Arsenal he's so dangerous. Probably doesn't get in our strongest XI but has a huge part to play imo.

So why doesn't he have a field day the rest of the games? Leicesters midfielders were better than him I felt.
Because he's a big game player and he'll be playing v literal defenders in midfield.
Leicester's midfield will be better than the PSG midfield we play next week.

No Cavani, no Neymar. We better finish them off at OT because the away game will be hard.

There will never be a better time to play PSG, whilst they are 10 points clear in their league they have struggled last few games -
'They needed extra time to beat third-tier side Villefranche-sur-Saone 3-0 in the Cup on Wednesday, three days after seeing their unbeaten league record this season ended in a 2-1 defeat at Lyon.
They were knocked out of the League Cup by struggling Guingamp in the quarter-finals last month, and since then Paris have lost Neymar to a metatarsal injury.'

Our form could not be better - lets go at them.

Fecking hell, no Neymar, no Cavani, it’s like the stars are aligning for us in this tie.

Why is the PSG players playing with squiddly lines as their names on the jersey?

I don't know about others but I think that graphic is desperately sad.

Seconded. Must take some of the joy of winning out of things. I really don’t get how someone like Neymar could want to go from Barcelona to PSG.

Agreed. The Serie A one isn't anywhere near as one-sided, but at least Juve have proper competition over there... (Just don't look at the league table :wenger:)

More money, can live a party life, never miss his sister's birthday.

Aye I agree. Says more about the state of French football than anything else, so glad English football isn’t like that.

It doesn't say much about french football other than only one club have the money to keep its players while the others are continuously rebuilding.

Nah, it's classless. I can't remember if we've ever booed an ex player, except for Tevez but that was very justifiable really.

Heinze as well; I expect ADM will join the list on Tuesday, unless everyone has forgotten he ever played for us, which is entirely possible.

Or losing players to supposedly more "egalitarian" leagues

That's not a "or" that's the cause of the constant rebuilding. The league isn't as rich as others and players leave at the first opportunity to sign a bigger contract.

Today's most important goal wasn't to win but to avoid injuries and it's a fail. Hopefully it's nothing and Cavani is fit for Manchester.

Don't think he'll be booed , it's a case of meh regarding him.
Hopefully not, I don't think he deserved it. He was actually quite good for us when he played, unfortunately he was the most non LVG-esque signing ever, hardly his fault.

Just seen Choupo played for them today.

The only thing he has ever done in career is two goals against us. :nervous:

I dunno, not everyone is bothered with creating history. Ronaldo/Messi appetite is quite rare.

The kind of professional pride where you want to ply your trade somewhere where you can show what you’ve got is not only reserved for players like Messi or Ronaldo.. but whatever, I know what you’re getting at, I just don’t understand it is all.

Instead of having Neymar-Cavani-M'bappé, we will have JOKE-JOKE-M'bappé

I will never understand how a PSG coach can take the risk of losing a major player some days before the most important games of the season.... while Neymar was already injured.

INCOMPREHENSIBLE UNLESS OLE IS A MARABOUT

Almost certainly written that they start if fit in their contracts.

If they don’t have Cavani, Verratti or Neymar available for the first leg we need to put it out of sight in the first leg.

We’ll never get a better chance vs them.

Not 100% impossible that the team against MUFC might be something like that :wenger::drool:

CHOUPO-MOTING*---mbappé
NKUNKU----Marquinhos---- Dani Alves ---DIABY
Kurzawa-----Kimpembe---Lassana Diarra----Kehrer
Areola
