How? By comparing games on their quality and appeal? Notice they started talking about price and then gamepass...

Let's face it, y'all have been without quality exclusives for so long that the quality doesn't even factor into it anymore. Just how much you have to spend....

Spiderman Metacritic 87 Vs Gears 5 at 84. Not exactly much in it.

I've played both a lot, both are great games.

:lol: :lol: :lol: you're comparing a 3 hour DLC to an expansion 3x it's length. All I said was that comparing the 2 was a bust and it's triggered you lot into diving to even lower depths. I thought we were just bantering until now...

No actually I was comparing Gears 5 to Spiderman, the core games, not the expansions. The expansions are both very good too - one is 3x the length and 3x the price.

It's easy for me to compare since I've played both and you've played neither.

I think console comparisons are always sketchy because it's solely subjective bias. There are too many factors that influence purchasing decisions. The generation I've grown up with for example we have from a young age used PS, this ultimately gives more consistency to brand loyalty but for many gamers who play for singular experiences its different and maybe less of a consideration.

I can't stand Halo, Gears of war as I've had a 360 previously but just as likely I thought GOW was boring too and uncharted for me is not too far off that list. I hang around the sports genre and most of those titles are playable on both platforms. The only game that would ever get me consider the purchase of an X is the Forza series as I enjoy cars. I personally prefer the arcade free roam mechanics compared to elitists who go for simulated level track games for competitiveness. Forza is undoubtedly the best in the market for what id look for.

I think both consoles have a solid infrastructure I'd be very surprised to see anyone buy either one on the sole basis of graphics / dexterity (not to mention the specifications of the TV needed to maximise the consoles) the biggest influence right now I feel would have to be games available.

And you personally need a Xbox because you are not interested in gaming PCs. So yes is the answer to your question. Anything else you want to ask?

Let's be honest none of you give a feck about Stalker.

@esmufc07 you don't need a gaming PC either, isn't gamepass supposed to be coming to anything that can run it including phones, tablets, TV, raspberry pi, etc...

I keep seeing it but the amount of crappy horror games over the years has numbed my excitment. I'll play if it gets good reviews.

Also just learned PES 2021 is coming to Game Pass tomorrow if that interests anyone. I think you guys like football.
 
So I’m getting one of these when they become available I’ve had every console of each generation so far and so have never cared about which is “better” but the reality of getting older is less time to play and so I can’t justify spending on both a PS5 and Series X.

So can anyone summarise what are the best features of both and the best upcoming games for both?
