Fussed about what? You not buying a console just for day one releases. Most people are buying it for 5 years, so the exclusives will come. MS haven’t bought all these studios to be sitting. Halo was supposed to be the launch game. It got delayed and rightly so.
Fussed about the lack of gameplay videos after Craig's appearance :wenger:

Must I spell everything out?

Yeah spell it out Afro?

Because you pretty much made it clear since Series x has been announced that you have no interest in getting one even to the point you got triggered when MS bought Bethesda. So yes, please do spell it out. Your concern trolling is hilarious.

Because maybe I wanna be sold on one?

Y'all don't seem to be too fussed though, don't understand that personally. If roles were reversed I'd be thinking about cancelling my PS5 pre-order and waiting...

With that studio roster it's clear the games are coming and there will be some top games at that.

Why wait and save a little money when it's gonna be a great third party machine with a ton of QOL improvements and the best subscription in gaming.

The PS5 is in the same boat. All the decent early games are on PS4 and when we look back at the end of the generation nobody is going to be talking about a Spiderman expansion.

Xbox has done enough this gen to show they are on an upwards trajectory and the recent investments bring a lot of confidence. The pro consumer experience has been strong and the console is clearly really well made considering the previews, analysis and just how confident MS are putting it in journos hands so early in an uncontrolled environment.

It's my PS5 pre order I'm not sure whether to keep

I'm getting PS5 for VR. Without that its a harder sell. XBox? I'll wait for now...

Why do you care so much? You have no interest in one.
Because it’s the only thing they can say to try and get one over now they’re beat on literally everything.

That and the Xbox controller not including the play and charge kit.

Won't they all work on PS4? Not that it matters. Just, aren't you worrying about cancelling with not much announced exclusive for PS5...

Will the output be different on PS5 Vs PS4 if the same headset (genuine question)

Really? Does that include imminent games?

It's a much more powerful box, there are already exclusives announced. It's much more compelling if you have PSVR as you can get better resolutions and FPS, better super sampling, and potentially better tracking. Games that weren't ported due to weaker hardware are now possible too.

What are the vr exclusives announced and when are they coming?

All seem like good reasons. Just the same as ours for Xbox which were apparently so laughable.

PS4 had exclusives that have reasonably instilled faith and excitement in consumers for what's to come next. I mean, leaving aside the fact that I feel PlayStation exclusives generally tend to be miles better, something like God of War is worth having the console (although no game is actually worth a console). Xbox has Halo, Gears etc as their supposed landmark games which just don't have the same appeal imo.

I asked this in the Xbox thread, but I just wanted to clarify, does Gamepass ultimate give you permanent access to the first party MS exclusives on day one, or do they tend to be limited runs?

If it's the former, then how are Microsoft expected to make their money?

I think it's the latter. Don't think they've removed any exclusives to this point and can't see them doing so going forward.

Of course, you don't get permanent access, you need to have an active subscription.

The answer is probably, yeah. Too early to say for definite, but they surely will be permanent.

They make their money from the game pass sub.
It’s great value, but there’s definitely good money to be made from the consistent subscription. I could get rid of game pass for months at a time, while playing other stuff, but don’t really bother, so that’s money in the bank for them that they wouldn’t have otherwise.

Plus they’re playing the long game. The price will no doubt start creeping up once enough people are in.

Hitman 3 and Lofi. A PS5 powered RE8, No Man's Sky and SW Squadrons is mouthwatering too...

Why would it just include imminent games?
I dunno... I kinda feel like games are important. Games, and gameplay video, something to show me why I should get the box, what it can do...

Sorry yeah, I should have clarified, permanent in the sense of it permanently being on the platform as opposed to it permanently being in the user's local library.

I said it before in the other thread, but wow. That's a ridiculous deal.

I've got the PS5 pre-ordered but the XSX via All Access with no up front payment is so tempting. I'll hold off on getting it until the first party XSX exclusives start trickling through but definitely would be one that's on my radar in any case.

Thanks for the clarification, mate.

And when are they all out? For PSVR on PD5 without PS4 able to play them (since you wouldn't be interested then)?

Totally. It's an investment in the next 5 years and not just the first few months.

This was the point I was making.

@afrocentricity an Xbox is for life, not just for Christmas

We know how capable the machine is though. And we have games. I dunno why you’re intent on making out that most games aren’t third party anyway.

2 are already out and 2 are scheduled to be out in the next 6 months sooo...
Sooner than your Bethesda exclusives. Nice try though...

All I've seen is Craig and various current Gen remasters. If I'm missing something post them here so we can take a look, that's what the threads for. @Alock1 mentioned The Medium. It's something but it's not compelling... For me anyway.

Again, Cyberpunk and AC are out at release, plus the new cod is out soon. It doesn’t have to be an exclusive to be worth playing.

Oh they're out? But they're PS5 only right? Cause if they're on PS4 you aren't interested. No?

I guess I should start claiming Gears 5, Forza Horizon 2 and others that will have a day 1 patch as exclusives.

We both know it doesn't matter what exclusives they put on, you won't be buying one. They could make PSVR an Xbox exclusive and you'd move to a cardboard box VR instead.

Although if you think Halo and Gears will be the landmark games this gen......

I think Bethesda alone have enough faith, never mind playground games and some of the other great studios MS has pulled together.

Now why would I do that, I wanted XBox to have VR but apparently XBox gamers don't want it, according to Phil... Not good news for someone like me is it? Don't take it personally...

Why zero in on the 2 that are out (that I mentioned as nice-to-haves) instead of the ones that are coming? You're all over the place here son. This has been fun, but I think you're taking this a bit personally maybe?

Seriously? constant games and not talking shite, and little reliance on multiplat. backwards compat and pc mods are huge features.

And Quantum Break, Crackdown 3 and Scalebound all shown in a few months at Gamescom. Good time to be an Xbone owner. Better than the last 2 MS ones. Better than the last 2 Sony ones together.

It's not like you to get carried away is it?

Nothing personal taken. I'm the one who has both consoles and can just enjoy the chat for the chat.

I don't work with MS directly anymore so all good on that front. Quantum Break (it's basically the precursor to Control which has turned out to be a fantastic game by all accounts) showed a lot of promise and Scalebound too. Shame.

Good because I'm mostly just trolling.
Funny how VR is majorly important all of a sudden
I mentioned it as a factor on the very first page. Do keep up...

In fact:
Will deffo get PS5 due to PSVR and Sony exclusives.

XBox? Remains to be seen, I'm leaning towards picking up gamepass for the PC anytime MS drops an exclusive I like the look of...

Can you play with XBox players when using game pass on PC?
This is on the very first page. You can do better VV. Take a break and come back refreshed...

I don’t need to, I’m getting the best console for someone who doesn’t care about VR.

Guys why can't you agree that each group of you have a different taste in games and just go on with it, I'm sure none of you are getting paid by Sony or Microsoft to defend them.

@Alock1 works for MS, which is why he tries to claim 3 of his DS4's have broke and the other won't last more than 10 minutes, yet his 360 didn't get RROD apparently. Don't listen to Alock.

DS4s are terrible. At least early ones.

Last two I bought seem to be holding up a lot better.

I’m just rubbing it in as much as possible now that there’s a clear winner, because they were trying to when they thought they had the upper hand. Feels good

Only issue I've had is the one I got with my first PS4 started to get analog drift a few weeks back. Can't say any have ever broke on me, and as I've said previously the battery tends to last me between 5 and 7 hours and I always leave it charging when not using so never really an issue.
