Protest planned ahead of the Liverpool game

The protest is being hyped in the media more than the match and you’ve got Klopp talking about what should happen if the game is called off. The fans have been backed into a corner now where the protest has to be disruptive.

But if it results in a points deduction, so be it. This isn’t a reaction to what’s happened so far this summer and season or the previous few. The Glazers were never welcome from day one. They’ve done to the club what was expected of them. If they spend another £100m today and the players on the pitch beat Liverpool, it will still be time to finally put an end to this.

I'd be surprised if they can postpone the game. It only happened last time due to covid protocols being breached. Majority will be peaceful tonight I'd imagine with a few idiots pushing it and getting arrested. There'll likely be more police there tonight has has been for years.

It wont be as big as the ESL protest as its Monday rather than weekend

I think some also forget just how big the Green&Gold protests were at its height but yes there is a lot of media coverage of this

Talksport are already reporting from Old Trafford today asking fans about their views
 
Good luck to everyone who’ll be there tonight. Hopefully it properly kicks off and the game gets called off. More pressure on the Glazers.

Why do you think that will impact numbers?
 
the two main protestor groups have stated they have no intention of getting the game postponed. Unless they’re lying I can’t see that happening.
 
This has to be the start, we start from here and need to keep protesting every home game until the end of the season until they'll sell us

Yes, I've been watching rivers for years as a protest of the Glazers, they're not getting any money from me!

Yep, totally ethical stance over here.

As the 1958 statement said - influential people are now involved with this. There is at least 1 viable buyer. Big, loud, legal and peaceful will be an incredible statement with the world media watching. There is no way you get the game called off legally. There is no way all 72k fans will want the game called off. It risks dividing fans, switching the media and losing momentum.

Yes biggest protest since Green & Gold was my point, maybe i did not articulate myself that well, sorry about that mate.

I also have a feeling that Sky Sport etc will also cover the protest tonight wich is important to show the sponsors of the club that we despise the owners!:mad:

Getting the game called off when tens of thousands won’t want it called off and they’ll be huge numbers of police is a very dangerous road that will inevitably lead to violence - it’s ridiculously naive to think that can happen legally - and then the whole media narrative changes and support is lost. A huge peaceful protest with the clear message of them being toxic keeps the momentum - and most importantly - keeps the focus of the world media on the Glazers.
 
Go all in. No need to hesitate. Let's get rid of these leeches and start a new era tonight.

Wouldn't be the dumbest move if Sir Jim threw them a few grand to go protest on their front door.
 
Hope it goes well and there’s plenty of noise. Marching from the tollgate to the stadium doesn’t sound like it’s going to make any impact though. The Glazers will have a good laugh at all the replica shirts in the protest who then slip away at 7:45 to take their seats at the match and pay for overpriced beer and pies at half time.

If peaceful but loud disruption is the goal then at some point the protests should hit the Glazer closer to home, a demonstration outside Raymond James Stadium during the NFL season would really turn heads.
