Stop being a houlier than thou attitude. It's annoying really.
People are showing you the problem in real life, yet instead of addressing in a debate you go on about being sanctimonious in keeping subscription.
50percent is about united? So why dont you UK fans start boycotting? Let's see those 50 percent drop in sky subs then you can mock us foreign fans
Sorry if I am sounding sanctimonious, not intending to be so, but whether you like it or not it is the TV contracts with SKY/BT and others WW that keep such as the Glazers involved in football, and its not just fans abroad, its here in the UK. Fans have (
forcibly if you like) had to 'boycott' the games this year, in 'real life', but not on TV; the 'show must go on' and all games have been shown on TV even with, heaven for bid, 'empty' stadiums on show and on TV and around the world, either way the sponsor's have still had their brands displayed to a WW audience.
You will have noticed how pundits and others have continually bemoaned the absence of fans, the atmosphere in the grounds etc. however the PL has still been completed, well almost, the FA Cup competition and in a week or so the UEFA competitions, all with the absence of real fans, but not TV cameras!
I see danger here! An old boss of mine use to tell people who (regularly) had time off work, " don't be away too long, we might find we can do with out you". Is there a danger here of that happening? "No, no, of course not fans are everything" we hear people cry.... but
real live fans or fans watching on telly, having their beer and food delivered at half-time, sitting in the warmth and comfort, no fighting to get to the toilets, 'pause' buttons so they don't miss the action...etc, etc.
I can hear people now shouting 'he's an idiot' it will never happen... I hope you are right and I am entering my dotage!
