Protest at Old Trafford

I have the rough impression this protest was relatively short and sweet? They got in, made their point and left?
Is that accurate ?

Utterly pathetic behavior, shades of angry republicans entering Congress. If we needed proof why governments around the world imposed strict rules during the pandemic, look at Liverpool, Glasgow and Manchester after each episode over the last year. It’s just football, there are other ways to make a point, this is just people needing to break the law.

Calm down Joel, you'll give yourself another aneurysm.

If I knew this was happening I wouldn't have went out last night. I am so jealous of them lot getting on the fecking pitch. I've never ever been on it. What an absolute privilege.
It was planned 2 weeks in advance. Second person on here with excuses

Pathetic post.

On the live BBC stream for the Arsenal game, the BBC just posted this message sent to them:

Forget the Old Trafford stuff. The key question is: when are Arsenal going to gift Newcastle their equalizer?
Paul

Rather than nicking corner flags, wouldn’t it have been more effective to dig the pitch up a bit?

Still going on outside the ground in the big numbers.

Protest outside is fine but breaking into the stadium and onto the pitch? Just yobs.

The commentator saying most of them will have tickets? Thought it was behind closed doors?

Just hope it was all peaceful, it looked to be from the video they were mostly walking round some with the corner flags. It almost looked like early match day build from the images of them outside. Looks like they've cleared the pitch now from this clip?

It was basically sex

99% of those in attendance today are generational United fans who fill terraces up and down the land - and further afield - wherever and whenever United play. Yet we have bleeding hearts here condemning their actions, the same people who have never set foot in Manchester before, let alone the ground. Go figure.

We have the best supporters in Britain, bar none. If any fanbase can eradicate a parasite, it’s ours. Well in, lads.

The message will be completely lost now.

No it won’t. Damaging shit isn’t what they should be doing but getting on the pitch makes a massive statement and means this will be remembered. It needs to have an impact.

Protesters have left the pitch, though wouldn’t be surprised if they reappear a bit later now they know how to get in

Equating this to the republicans entering congress is pathetic

Someone tell me what the point of this breaking into OT thing is please. Ruin the pitch? Make us get points docked? Distract the players so Pool can run all over us and get top 4 (let’s hope they keep focused and win the game)? It’s not for publicity, because we achieved that by fierce protests outside both OT and Carrington already. I mean, how is storming the pitch going to generate any more publicity than protesting outside? Potential good owners will just think our fanbase are lunatics and idiots.

This is just people rioting to seek attention, and it’s disgusting. We all want Glazers Out, and the fans who turned up but didn’t go in to the stadium did it the right way. Well done to all of you who did that!

Well done to everyone involved apart from those that caused unnecessary damage

In the end, this protest was just an excuse for a few thugs to get together, trespass and cause a bit of minor damage in the stadium, possibly doing more harm to United’s chances of beating their biggest rivals. I doubt the Glazers will have taken much notice - went down like a bit of a wet fart in the end.

Reminds me of the lynch mob that gathered outside Woodward’s house.

But don’t let the top reds tell you otherwise or tell you you’re not a proper fan, throwing words around like cancer and wishing death on the club owners.

There are more effective ways of showing discontent, such as hitting the Glazers where it hurts - in their pockets.

People like your are why the rich feel they can get away with anything. Because they know there will always be people who will just bear injustice in silence.
