Only watched the 2nd half but what a terrible performance it was. Absolute shitshow. Liverpool just overwhelmed us and had too much intensity. We were too slow in everything. Slow in the mind. Slow in the legs. Clueless in attack. Even when Fred, Chong, Gomes came on I had a bit of excitement but we couldn't get the ball off them.

Should have explained myself more. Of course majority of first XI missing, but a few injuries and we are down to slim pickings is what I’m saying.

To be fair a lot of the problems being discussed have been around for a while and there’s been little sign than Jose is capable of implementing a more attractive or fluid style of football.
Would not worry about this at all. Not our first team and Mourinho judging by his demeanor and comments could not care less about it. If it were up to him I would say he would prefer not to have the preseason in america or where ever given it is a world cup summer.
We'd have been better cancelling the tour and playing Bury, Oldham & Rochdale and staying at home.

Of course and I agree however I don't think anyone can deny than Liverpool play a significantly better brand of football than us and this isn't going to change irrespective of players available, and they have improved the quality of their squad with some astute purchases. What you will find is that we'll be terrible in the first part of the new PL season given that our pre-season isn't going well and our best players won't be at full fitness. We will improve but my feeling is that we will lose ground early and therefore will struggle again to challenge for the league this year. Realistically, I'm expecting a top 4 finish.

I could agree with that first half, we got mullered by there second string majority of the second half. I agree with the post you replied to though, they have added strength and creativity to there midfield especially after losing Emre, depth to attackign options with Shaquihri (who will be from th bench) and actualyl now have a good keeper. This game is meaningless towards the season ahead of course, but painful to watch
