Yeah, I refuse to take Man City's figures at face value, tbh.
Us paying audacious figures isn't anything new, but I don't believe we pay so disproportionately in contrast to them.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-united-highest-earners-contract-25966861While the 27-year-old has toiled at times this season, Fernandes still has seven goals and nine assists and remains a key player, earning a basic wage of £100,000-a-week, before bonuses.
The good news is next season we could be THIS much lighter on salaries:
CR7 - 470k
Pogba - 290k
Cavani - 250k
Maguire - 185 - 190k
Mata - 160k
Shaw - 150k
Fred, Matic - 120k
Henderson - 100k
Let them all go or be sold and reinvest on 20-25 year old talented and hungry players.
Maguire, Shaw, Fred won't be going anywhere, realistically. We're not going to fire sale regular starters when we're already losing a number of players that creates holes in the squad that need to be addressed. Then you have two sets of holes to fill and one summer to fill them. Not to mention these players are at their lowest stock and probably within the top 10% of earners in the PL which isn't a good equation for a selling club. The good news is next season we could be THIS much lighter on salaries:

Yeah it seems a bonkers increase on what he would've been earning and it wasn't like we were in a bidding war with Real and Chelsea over him.I really hope he is not on 350k. Most websites claim that to be his salary though.

A lot of the others will be going or are realistic to go, perhaps.
I have started to believe that the wages we offer can't just be incompetence and there might be something more sinister going on at the club . I mean we know already how big a role agents have these days and I wonder if someone like Woodward was in some ways involved in shady deals. I know it sounds crazy but a lot of the decisions are just too bad to even be considered as incompetence
Only youHas this been blamed on Ole yet?
As per popular opinion, pw salaries
CR7 - 470k or something
DDG - 375k
Sancho - 350k
Varane - 340k
Pogba - 290k
Cavani - 250k
Rashford - 200k
Maguire - 185 - 190k
Bruno - 180k
Mata - 160k
Shaw - 150k
Fred, Lindelof, Matic - 120k
Henderson - 100k
That is assuming Sevilla is paying Martial whole salary.
I don't know about Chelsea, but City is definitely doing something to the books in some way. It's so suspicious that their big stars never get tempted away from other big clubs in big leagues.I dont trust Chelsea and City numbers. I refuse to believe it.
Arsenal and Liverpool numbers are fairly accurate and it's criminal that we have 4 of our top earnings above Liverpool players.
Martial is on £240k. £40k more than Salah.
If I were doing a rebuild, I'd keep CR7, DDG and Sancho.....unfortunately that's the wage budget fecked though. Good luck negotiating with their pay.
I doubt it. Especially seeing the effort they put in every week.

The Portuguese playmaker will more than double his salary to £240,000 a week after the club hierarchy convinced him of their plans for the future, despite their current on-field strugglesIs there some kind of algorithm involving social media traffic, money generated for the dividends and marketing = salary? It would make sense. If this is the case I assume performance at football is NOT part of the equation.
