Premier League Not So Festive Season

WHU can move up to 9th place if they win it (would be only 1 point behind 7th Leicester), that would be also 15 points from last 6 games. Are they any good? I know Felipe Anderson is the main man(as shown today) in the team, but bar him anyone else is having a good season? I'd watched them only at the start of the league, where they were losing to everyone, so hard to judge how they play. Plenty of injuries as well at the moment.

No drama about west ham only naming 6 subs and not bringing a youngster to sit on the bench I see. Weird, was a crime worthy of hanging earlier this year.

Felipe Anderson looks a steal at what they paid for him.

Can't see how Arsenal get something.

Getting in the reverse jinxes early today? :D

With Torreria available & Ozil not traveling, Arsenal haves have at least two things to be happy about. I wouldn't be surprised if they plucked out a draw, as Auba/Laca are always goal threats.

No, you are the one being humble here. Arsenal is in for a thrashing today.

They don't have kids or reserves either?
What a silly comment.

Of course they do, and many of their ex graduates have had very successful careers in the PL. What’s silly is pumping hundreds of millions into the ‘Elite Development Squad’ and hardly giving youth players a sniff.

 Arsenal get anything at Anfield?

You're going to smash them to bits. Auba and Laca will barely get a touch of the ball. I'm very happy to be proven completely wrong on this, but I honestly would have more faith in someone like Burnley than in Arsenal going away to the top of the league.

I obviously hope so. We'll see what happens. I just hope we don't let our foot of the gas just because the City game is next.

Arsenal Liverpool is down for a 0-0
Next to no chance of that - Arsenal can’t cope with Anfield at the best of times; now that Liverpool have all but won the league at long last the place will be delirious and the natives will be deafening. I’d be amazed if Arsenal get through the first 20 minutes without conceding a couple at least.

Its good to see how far off topic and just how wrong you are... because City have probably had more youths feature this season than West Ham, but lets not let logic get in the way of a good attempt at being a Wum right?
I'd be curious to see how many ex-West Ham and how many ex-City youths are currently plying their trade in the PL or Europes top few leagues for comparison right now. Given City have Gunn, Denayer, Celina, Sobrino, Ronny Lopez, Boyata, Maffeo, Angelino, Kongolo and Ntcham all playing in big European leagues in the last couple of seasons I'd like to see West Hams graduates in the same period in comparison.

But anyway thats off topic even if you are wrong so I'll ask again why aren't West Ham and Pelligrini taking the flak City and Pep did for only naming 6 substitutes for a PL game, particularly given their great youth record?

If you want to compare City’s youth set-up to West Ham’s, then go ahead. If you are a truely top team, you would be wanting to compare your youth player minutes to other top teams/direct competitors.

We hear about the ‘Elite Developemtn Squad’, which yeah it looks cool from aerial shots, but sure what’s the point of it all if we don’t get the see players regularly such as Diaz, Foden etc? City are currently short in centre midfield with Fernandinho out, so why hasn’t Foden stepped in? Gundogan has been poor, as has Delph, but they keep getting chances.

West Ham don’t get as much media attention, so to answer your question, that’s why there hasn’t been a big song and dance about it. If you want to step up and be a big club, you better get familiar with all little things getting dragged through the media. It comes with the territory.

Not entirely sure what I want the result to be for Liverpool-Arse

It's one of those win-win if you look at the positives... or a lose-lose if you are a moaner.

Arsenal are useless so can see them getting thumped 3 or 4-0. No offense intended.

Everyone does realise the last team to take points of us was ... Arsenal.

You think Phil Foden or Brahim Diaz can play as defensive midfielders in the premier league? or even worse left back? Really? Defensive midfielder not playing well "oh well lets throw in all 6 stone of Phil Foden, that'll show them".

It doesn't matter what size club West Ham are... Gary Neville should be outraged.

Spurs:
Lloris, Trippier, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Alli, Eriksen, Son, Kane
Subs: Rose, Nkoudou, Walker-Peters, Foyth, Gazzaniga, Lucas Moura, Skipp

Wolves:
Rui Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Dendoncker, Neves, Jonny, Cavaleiro, Traore, Jimenez
Subs: Costa, Gibbs-White, Ruddy, Saiss, Moutinho, Vinagre, Bonatini

Poch is rotating our wingbacks every match pretty much.

This match won't be anything like as easy as the last one. Wolves are a decent side, but I hope their manager is true to his word and doesn't try and park the bus.

You are winning that game by 2 or 3 goals, then you are probably beating us at the Etihad, you guys (supporters) are just going through that phase we City fans went through last December where you can't quite understand just how easily you are going to win the league.

They're good at the Emirates. A trip there is generally difficult for any team.

Away at Anfield though? I expect a totally different performance.

Merson saying on Soccer Saturday that he could see Doucoure at Arsenal or City, and at United - but United fans would complain at buying players from clubs like Watford.

What? Where’s he got that from? Yes we’ve bought big players from big clubs in the past but it’s not worked out, and as far as I’m aware we’d be happy getting a good player from anywhere. They just make shit up on that panel.

They'd be right a few seasons ago (Mane for instance) but right now no, too many big money busts.

He genuinely hates you guys its that simple, his pre-match prediction column was absolutely filled with hate. Basically he said you'll win this weekend because your players are all cnuts who deliberately got Jose sacked.

Wolves should have had a pen. How was that clash of knees earlier a Spurs free kick?

Not sure who the referee is but not impressed.

We bring out the best in both Merson and Sourness.
