Premier League Not So Festive Season

What is this ‘Sarri ball’ bollocks? Chelsea are dull as dishwater just like always.
As usual, it’s Hazard and ten other players.
Still doesn't score enough goals. Brazilian Lingard actually, so I can see what you mean.
Lingard’s past 18 months have been far greater than Willian’s. Nothing player.

For one and a half seasons? Hazard has led Chelsea to multiple titles already.
I get you but it's the same with Hazard. He's ridiculously talented but he's not where he should be. He has top game, everyone says he's ready to reach Messi/Ronaldo level and then he stays quiet for few more games rinse and repeat. Salah isn't as naturally talented and doesn't affect the game as much but he applies his talent more consistently.

Nah for too long it been give the ball to hazard and hope, he gets kicked up and down the country and just gets up and on with it, salah would do half as much with the marking eden gets.

This is partly true. Hazard has been here for 5 seasons and this is his best season by far. He creates moments of magic in games by himself then disappears for about 5-6 games, then creates moment of magic again.

This is the only season he's been a bit consistent otherwise he goes missing in a lot of games. Let's judge both players at the end of the season since they are both playing more centrally

Not understood this one bit. Has he meant to have reinvented football or is it just people being sheep again and latching on to the latest hype/buzzword?

Not necessarily. If you deliberately trip someone from behind to stop them shooting would result in a red (I don’t think fosters was a red fwiw)

What is the difference between that and Foster clattering Hazard before he gets his shot off and getting nowhere near the ball? Having watched it again a few times can't imagine what Foster is thinking.

Foster isn’t running out intentially to foul Hazard, he’s trying close the angle and then his momentum took him into him. Had he been rounded and the deliberately pushed him over, you could have argued for red

I've only been watching Chelsea regularly since mid 2016, but for that timeframe that's a myth. Hazard's been Chelsea's most consistent outfield player in that period, perhaps alongside Kante. Even in Conte's second season, which was difficult for the team and him.

(Besides, Hazard has been at Chelsea for more than 5 seasons.)

So in two games we have scored 7 and conceded 7. At least we aren't boring to watch anymore.

The televising of fixtures so far this festive season has been absolute gash. I can't believe tonight, of all games, we're treated to Southampton vs West Ham.

Spare a thought this Christmas for those unfortunate enough to support them.

Sad game this. Southampton at home, against an injury ridden West Ham, play 5 at the back, no wingers, one up top.

Simply not enough to attack, the few times they've gotten anything into the box there aren't enough bodies.

How little importance is placed on attack in these games is confusing.

Have to admit the Christmas tv matches have been shocking!

Fulham vs Wolves
Brighton vs Arsenal
Watford vs Chelsea
Southampton vs West Ham

Shocking choices.

I’m half full of gin and I don’t even want to waste my time watching this rubbish. Cheers.

Edit: 1-1. The lads have got the finger out. Best if I keep my drunken gub shut.

Couldn't they have put this yesterday? Playing over 24 hours after yesterday's fixtures when both teams will be playing early Sunday is pretty odd.
