No-one is drooling over them.
When all else fails, lie through your teeth.
No-one is drooling over them.
Southampton is perfect example of the difference changing managers make
No-one is drooling over them. It's just a simplee comparison we made between them and Jose because people were making all kinds of excuses for our shite season like not being backed with Alderweireld etc. Once Emery and Sarri are given time and money like Pep, Klopp AND Jose were then we can judge them more harshly.
Get a rope...
You may have heard of the Inquisition. They had some rather quaint ways of dealing with heretics.
Cool story but Pool can feck right off. This season is turning into a fecking nightmare.
And that is why come may you will regret ever writing this crap because once they win it you will never hear the end of it. Also with things going so well for them and with the manager they have and the income they will make Liverpool is going to become an incredibly attractive destination for top class players. If they win it this season then they could very well go on to become a dominating force and that is incredibly worrying. It is the first time in my life that City lost a game and I am not happy because if the title gets lifted at Shitefield come may I'll vomit aggresively.
I wonder if Southampton fans are angry at their players for 'downing tools'. The same way people are ready to have a go at our players if we start winning
Money was less of a factor, the overall quality of the teams was worse, also one reason to be harder for teams to win consecutive titles on England beside the money is that so far since United won 3 on a row if I am not wrong you can't say there is a superteam who is much more dominant than the others. City last season was, but Liverpool is proving they can compete with them. Thanks for understanding
That is a tough question. You would think that money was less of a factor in the 70s and 80s due to less globalisation. Most teams would be made up of players from the same country. There would be a much bigger focus on development back in those days.
Players like Van Dijk would be playing for a team like Ajax in those times, because scouting was not so aggressive with foreign talent back in those days. Talents would gravitate to the top club in their league, rather than going to a foreign league.
I respect Pool more than City because they have always been a top team in the PL,unlike City who does not even have recognizable club legends. So Pool winning it would be a better alternative(not the one anyone wants it, but what can be done about the inevitable). I have faith that United will come good in the next 2 years to win the PL and then we can rub it in their faces because we haven't gone decades without winning it. Also doesn't matter how attractive Pool becomes, we are still Manchester United, we will always be an attractive club, especially now that Jose is gone and the club seems to be moving in the right direction.
it's that all you've got to comeback with? Too bad you failed to counter my point. When all else fails, lie through your teeth.
It's going to be horrible but it'll be fine if we just see it as ineivitable. I mean, it really does look like it's happening. When it does I'm just turning off the noise and I'll restart next year. At least well still be ahead on league titles. If Liverpool win the league, feck sake we'll never hear the end of it from the media. They have been waiting with their headlines about the "fairy tale of a team went 28 years without title till the knight called Klopp arrived and delivered it". We'll go on for months hearing about the great Liverpool side etc. That will be totally shite.
One reason I always want someone like Chelsea to win these seasons is they're irrelevant team when it comes to media. No one cares much about their trophies and they forget they actually exist one week after them winning a league.
True Conte did it, but Guardiola, Klopp and even Pochettino have an advantage, next season Sarri will have to improve the team, Emery don't know if Arsenal can improve much more, depends on the players they can add. Forget Mourinho now, most probably the players are relieved now and the team will improve much more during the season.Conte on his first season with Chelsea side won the league title with 93 points.
Mourinho had been full of shite this season but I don't understand the insistence on comparing them to him when we talk about their season. Just because we're shite doesn't mean they're both great. Their season is decent at best imo, nothing extraordinary and if we were in a better stater we would have never cared much about them.
I just got a bit sick in my mouthWell well well, Liverpool might be winning the PL this season. Personally i would prefer Pool to win it than City, its like a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea. But Pool haven't won it for decades and are one of the few clubs who have built their success on their own and not because of some oil rich sugar daddy.

Of course there's no problem with that. It's a decent/average season not extraordinary. Just a bit of perspective was needed because they've been in their jobs for less than 6 months. Next seasons they'll be judged to the same standards the other managers wereAnd Mourinho is gone, can we start talking about their season more fairly now ? That it's just average or decent at best but nothing extraordinary ? This Arsenal season I had seen loads of time under Wenger.
Its normal they were so fed up with Jose that they would even compare him to Warnock. No surprise, its football after all.Agree that they both will get their chance but on this season and on this season only, I didn't understand the over drooling from some of our fans, just an ordinary season which looked better thanks to us being that shite. Sure they can become better next season, we don't know the future.
Hopefully we win today and close the gap with Chelsea a little bit.

It's crazy to think about! Spurs have been chugging away silently while everyone focuses on the other teams.Big game for Spurs tomorrow. Will be tough to win away at Everton, but if we do then we'll be just 2 points behind City.
Chilwell looks 10x the player Shaw is.

I haven't seen United show such first-half dominance in years.
The lads are playing for Ole.
That's a beautiful goal, seriously one of the best I've seen all season. Just lovely play.
Really good game tbf, you can see the new manager syndrome is big time impacting United, whether it'll last long term is the question.
If we can continue in the same vein for the remainder of the season - free-flowing, adventurous, attacking football - Ole will be given a shot at the job full-time I feel.
The new manager bounce may be affecting the players, as you say, but this performance does at least prove they are considerably better than they showed under Jose.

Can you imagine the City/ Liverpool fans watching this together right now?
Just silently whispering “oh shit” as United score one of the best goals in the league this season for their third.
The jubilation they felt when Cardiff got a dodgy penalty “phew, maybe they aren’t back”
Oh man this is beautiful.
77% possession, 3 goalsSo i take it United are playing well?
