Premier League Not So Festive Season

We sold our soul when we got Mourinho. This powered up City and Liverpool.

Today is the first proper day of Ole’s reign. As a result they will no longer have divine intervention helping them.

Considering how this weekend is going for Liverpool, I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped a bollock to Cardiff later.

Southampton will not go down. Now Huddersfield...

Having just said that Liverpool are unlikely to hold off City for the rest of the season (which I maintain), the fact that we are miles off being competitive with City at the moment had kind of made me forget the possibility of a Guardiola meltdown - and a premature end to the Guardiola era - if things get really competitive. Sometimes it's hard not to buy into some of this media elevation of City to invincibility for the foreseeable future.

There is no Guardiola era, this league has far too much financial parity for that. What SAF did with this league was once in a lifetime stuff.

I said in pre season that City aren't replicating last season, they will drop a level because they got way too fortunate with injuries and late winners to get 100 points. This is going to be a race between City and Liverpool. The first genuine race in years.

This is developing in to an absolute stunner of a weekend.

The first genuine race in years.

There probably wont be a title race this year.

City are already 4 points behind. Liverpool have two home games, City two away games next.

The gap might get closer to 10. Liverpool might have this won by January.

Obviously not, but surely a United fan can’t be happy about liverpool gaining an edge in the title race? That’s the direct consequence of City dropping points.
Bud, they could all fall to shit and Ole lead us on a 21 match winning streak. We could not win a match the whole rest of the season. We don’t know.

What I do know is that at this moment, City is down 3-1 to Palace and its fun to watch.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see City make dramatic comeback and grab the 3 points.

They are the greatest team ever after all.

Chilwell looks 10x the player Shaw is.

I wouldn't be against him and Wan Bisakka coming in and having them battle it out with Shaw and Dalot. I wouldn't be surprised to see them being the starters too. We need to make sure that Young and Valencia are done playing as full backs again for us come this summer.

Palace seem to always cause City problems.

No!

Considering City are still outplaying 90% of teams theyll still get high 80s or low 90s. Its typical reactionary stuff to predict what you've done.

They are playing Leicester and Southampton away. Not hard fixtures. Liverpool have Newcastle and Arsenal. There's not much difference between these fixtures.
