Premier League May 3-5

To think that Chelsea fans were claiming at the end of last season that the reason SAF retired was because he was petrified of Mourinho. They said Mourinho would deliver them all the trophies this season. I wonder how they feel about their hero right about now?

Nobody said Ferige was scared, nobody said we'd win everthing. don't be silly.

When did this happen and where? Twitter? I don't remember reading that anywhere.

If you manage to find one Chelsea fan that said that anywhere let alone here I will buy you a Tescos cooked chicken. Thats an insane statement

Same. That's a new one to me too. I've heard alot of reasons for Fergie calling time, but not that one. My favourite is the one that he picked a manager destined to fail, and intentionally left him with a poor squad, to preserve his own legacy. People seem to really, genuinely believe that one.

SAF is such an egotistical sadistic villain, apparently.

That's the most stupid thing I've seen in ages. I don't remember anyone saying that.

Gary Lineker is sharing his thoughts on the Chelsea match on NBC right now... he looks and sounds stoned out of his tree

The Sun, Daily Mail, Telegraph, Daily Mirror, etc comment sections during that time were filled with Chelsea fans comments claiming Fergie was scared.

That's someone asking "Is he scared"? Nobody, even on Yahoo Answers, said yes!
Titled as a question, but right under the title claims it to be true.

Chelsea will obviously dominate once the season starts, and Alex Ferguson knows this so he retired

Here's another.

All the mad opposition fans said Fergie couldn't handle competing with the big boys, so that was why he left whilst he could in a time of glory. This kind of implied the big teams improving and getting the likes of Mourinho/Pellegrini and strengthening their squads. Of course what they all mutually failed to notice is that he adapted and took on every challenge that came to him in the last 26 years, dominating the Premier League no matter who was in it. As if he suddenly gave up just because he couldn't rise to the challenge is laughable.

Didn't majority of Chelsea fans also lap up the media's overglorification of Mourinho at the beginning of the season?

The fact is had he not been "scared" into retirement he'd of signed 3/4 players in the summer and we would have likely walked the league again. City have not improved under Pellegrini, Chelsea haven't got the right personnel for Mourinho to succeed. Liverpool are they only team to have made any sort of jump in quality but that is down to the fact that Chelsea and City have been poor and have underachieved.

You honestly can't use examples of comments on the Daily Mirror or Sun websites as any kind of proof about anything.

1) Yes they're idiotic
2) Everyone knows they're idiotic
3) By going on there and reading what they say you're just as much of an idiot.

My Chelsea supporting brother in law certainly did, as I imagine a few others did too. Lap it up I mean, treating at as the second coming and Chelsea finally going on to over throw Man Utd once and for all.

Im not sure he did, or if he was being serious though.

Chelsea fans were giddy when Jose returned. My Chelsea supporting mates and relatives continously mocked me about United snubbing Jose in favour of Moyes. I take great satisfaction in the fact that Jose's return has been underwhelming. Failing to win anything with a better squad than Di Matteo and Rafa.

I still cannot understand his complete meltdown season end.

They still have license to do that!

As if you have never read the comments section in articles. lol

Just because they are stupid does not mean they are not fans.

Sure they do. Afterall we hired a midtable manager and finished (wait for it)... In midtable. Meanwhile Chelsea brought back the "best manager in the world" spent a 100m and finished in the top 4. What a great season they've had.

My Chelsea loving housemate was watching clay court tennis when Chelsea and Norwich were trying to cure insomnia. Portugese Open. Thats how compelling Jose's return has been.
