Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

Surely he's worse now? At least Ferguson gave him a genuine role that goals weren't really expected.
That season under Moyes, he played with real confidence then LVG seemed to suck the confidence out of him. You'd think it couldn't get any worse...but he goes to Arsenal under Wenger

Not saying they're the best in the league, but I wouldn't trade the pairing of Mane/Salah for any other winger/wide attacker pairing in the league  Just really love watching them both play in full flow.

Can has been very good. Defence has cleared up nicely enough ('cept that Karius moment :D). Gini has been alright, but Henderson really needs to stop attempting 1 in 5 passes that are generally outside of his skill-set.

Alexis currently on his laptop in the dressing room, typing out his transfer request email.

If I spent money to go see Burton Albion, and they defended like this arsenal team, and put as much effort into it, I'd be peed off.

Paying emirates prices for this shite? Feck would I. The fans have every reason to be mightly angry now, this is no accident.

You can play badly, it happens, but these Arsenal players are giving zero effort.

Losing every second ball and constantly getting dispossessed 1 on 1. Utter disgrace.

One of the best things we have ever done is to get rid of that clown Welbeck. Thank god he is embarrassing them and not us

People saying we have got an easy start, would have loved to play arsenal this early. Sad we only play them in december. Hopefully jose doesn't give this arsenal side any respect, treat them how you treated Swansea, Leicester. They deserve to be thumped.

Mane is a better player than coutinho for this Liverpool side.

Steady on. That defence is shite its just Arsenal have been worse.

Id sell Coutinho and get a few CB's

1. Firmino is probably the most underrated player in the PL.
2. Can seems to have a new faster CPU installed. Liverpool better extend his deal on his recent upgrades.
3. Arsenal simply do not have any players willing to match Liverpool´s effort. They still have no leadership. Same pathetic attitude.
4. Gomez is a greater crosser. Too bad he seems awfully slow on defense.

Welbeck: the never improving player  I swear he's been at this level since ever.
He's definitely regressed. He was by no means prolific in 12/13 but he was a good player who improved our play when on the field. Against Madrid, in the away leg, he was the best player on the field and, in the second leg, alongside Giggs, was again the best player on the field until the red/Modric's introduction who then proceeded to run the show.

Okay, I can understand where Neville is coming from but this is nothing new. It's a Wenger team. He's acting like the players are the sole problem, which they do need to take part of the blame, but Wenger is the big problem. It's nothing new...
At this point it's the players first, some of the Arsenal players are not even watching the ball... Wenger is definitely not the biggest problem when you have players like that.

Thierry Henry the big expert.

"I knew ...
I knew..

...I knew..."

Oh okay. Maybe have a word with your former manager then.

My theory is that Can is playing for a free transfer to Juventus next summer.

He loves Arsenal; he remembers how the team used to be. They were the great rivals of his playing career.

I agree he has respect for them from that era but his scathing tone today is a reaction to the woeful defensive play he's seeing in my opinion.

These two teams play a lot like two teenage teams. Frantic all over, running all over, except the few players who have some maturity to do what's needed to score a couple of goals. High energy though.

Offhand, its' fascinating how every so-called top manager in the league apart from Mourinho and Conte is unable to set up a defense. Truly a difficult art to master, perhaps.

But he's the coach! You wouldn't get Conte,Jose,Poch... having players give half hearted performances week in week out and still be at the club.

he's as much to blame for indulging them

It has to be the manager when it's been a problem for however many years. This is not a new thing - Arsenal, for the most part, play like this time and time again. Wenger and his coaches haven't sorted the problem so the blame has to lie with them for me. Though the players aren't free of any blame.

I know our defence is shite, but you can only deal with what's coming at you, and all I said is they've dealt with that well enough.

Honestly, if offered VVD/Keita & a squad player like Ox for Coutinho & cash, I'd bite your hand off right now. Can/Lallana in midfield either side of Keita with Mane/Salah/Firmino up front would be pretty damn good, and Ox/Sturridge/Solanke/Hendo/Gini/Milner would be good enough squad options for me.

Definitely need a keeper though
