Premier League Matchweek 22 (Jan 21-22)

It's really hard to tell that Quinn is an ex gooner, he's so neutral in his constant drooling over Arsenal.

Holy shit Leicester are atrocious. Really? Kante was the only difference?

They're missing Mahrez too (COPA), but yes, they've been pretty poor this season - almost like the players have no drive for yet another PL run (and/or they're only concerned about getting as far as possible in the CL)

Wouldn't put it past Burnley to grab a goal but it'll be a miracle if they don't concede. Arsenal playing pretty well.

Good game this, Arsenal playing well with ozil looking up for this but Burnley are dangerous on the counter. Hope for some goals in the second half.

I've noticed that Arsenal are so much faster at passing in the final third..than us. Maybe this is one of the reasons why they've scored more goals than us?

Attitude too, I guess. One league win is more than those players ever thought they'd achieve and they aren't mentally strong enough to reestablish anything like that level of desire or focus again. They've basically been hungover for the entire season, bar the isolated CL games which still draw something out of them. How many of them really care where they finish in the league this season as long as they don't get relegated?

The only reason I want Arsenal to win is because it makes our draw yesterday a bit less painful. I mean 4 of the 5 teams above us drawing, and we fail to capitalise on that would be disheartening at the very least.
Also Sanchez scoring would be good as he's my FPL captain

Could you imagine if they won the CL and got relegated at the same time

Very strange logic there! I'd rather they drop points so the points we dropped won't seem that bad in the end. If Arsenal draw then overall we'll have gained points on the teams above us (barring Chelsea). Sure it's only Liverpool by 1 point but it could have been so much worse.

Your logic makes no sense. Arsenal winning certainly wouldn't make me feel any better I know that much.

If Arsenal drop points today then it definitely makes yesterday even more infuriating.

It seems destined for us to finish 6th. Every time the teams above us all win, we win. Anytime someone above us drops points, we drop points.

Baffles me why teams never cover both posts on every corner kick.

If I was a manager I would fine a week's wages for not doing so.

Goals like that can be easily prevented.

At home against a team they are meant to beat, Arsenal get the job done. It's why they will always get in the top four under Wenger.

Did anyone really think fecking Burnley were going to get anything?

Arsenal will get top 4, like every other year, their stability confirms it. Chelsea and Arsenal are the only teams that are certain to get top 4. I think City and United will miss out.

How will CHelsea cope without Costa? We won't find out today it seems.

Courtois; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill (c); Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso; Pedro, Diego Costa
Subs. Begovic, Ake, Zouma, Chalobah, Fabregas, Willian, Batshuayi.

Playing with ten man to make things a bit more interesting?

Glad Costa's playing! I was thinking of transferring him out of my fantasy team:)
