Premier League Matchweek 22 (Jan 21-22)

Not surprised with the result, this is pretty much our blip. Probably started around December.
We can't expect to win anything with defending like that. We haven't been as bad over the last two months for the most part, but when you see how chaotic it was today you have to worry.

I expect Southampton to knock us out on Wednesday.

Klopp has never been a defensive manager. Dortmund were the same questionable team at the back when he was there.

It truly is a cold windy day at Stoke.

This one will be hard fought.

Liverpool running out of steam over winter due to their headless chicken style. Why did nobody see that coming?
Well supposedly, Liverpool does not always press and they only play one game per week so they are never going to have a condition problem, according to Liverpool fans. Something like that... Anyway, it's good to create doubts in their mind. We will see how it goes next week.

Surely they weren't as chaotic as we were? They won back to back titles so must have been ok at the back?

Decent start to the weekend. Hope we make it even better by winning our game!

Was 100% sure that Liverpool would win then they made it 2-2, it was so obvious but well done to Swansea! Completely deserved the win. Can't wait to hear what Klopp will complain about this time.

Fellaini to fight against Stoke's height? Err this might turn out to be ugly...

His title winning sides conceded 22 and 25 respectively in a 34 game season, so yeah, much stronger defensively.

Ironically, a Pool fan in my office said he was worried that the team tend to play better against good opposition, whilst being so so against the weaker teams. I'm beginning to think this might be so as well. Still can't believe it, and at Anfield too!

No point getting a draw in their cup final if they then go and lose to Swansea is there?

Reckon last week took a lot out of them. They were hanging on at the end.

Defence is shocking too. Klopp's managed to hide it so far but it's really hard to win a title when the back four is so shaky.

He'll probably blame it on Swansea's long balls though.

Extremely poor result - obviously. At HT it looked like it would just come. At 2-2 I thought it was a banker. To lose after that was just negligence.

Liverpool have been doing this for 25 years.

They always feck up in these sorts of situations, it's why they've gone so long without the title.

Sadly an accurate analysis of our problems in the Premier League era.

David James on BT looking like he just teleported from the 1970's.
The shape of him, sideburns and all

Good start from Stoke.
Grant also called "safe hands".
1-0 West Ham against Middlesbrough. Carroll.

Wow!!! First Swansea now Stoke in the lead. Please Mark Hughes if you never do anything else hang on here.

Yep, from 5th to 2nd in just one week :D

To think when we beat you at Etihad you were a certainty to miss out on CL, like we are now by the usual over reacters on the interweb. Good chance of 6 points for you guys before Chelsea which should be a belter, although given how this weekend is going maybe its best to play a top team.
